@TheTamedShrew yes!! Recently DH put his face right up against my belly, and said something to baby in a super deep, pretty loud voice. She instantly kicked/punched/jumped so hard I involuntarily yelled for him to stop! I started laughing after because it was like the perfect sassy daughter "UGH Dad, stop it!!!"
@camichael84 haha, yes on the drooling! I've noticed it multiple times the past few weeks but never connected it to pregnancy. But it's totally new (or worse at least).
I third (or fourth) the drooling! I just noticed it recently and thought it was just me. I also never connected it to pregnancy either, I just thought it was gross and causing me to wash my pillow cases more frequently. Yuck!
My varicose veins are out of control! I actually had an appt for a consult for them the day I found out I was pregnant, cancelled that. Hoping they can get me in in Oct now without having to have another referral and ultrasound done on the veins...
@camichael84 et al - ditto on the crazy drooling. I have also been waking myself up snoring, which is unusual for me but I think could be related to the drooling. My spouse is too kind to say anything, but I am pretty sure he has picked up on my increased sex appeal. Haha.
My pelvis hurts so bad it feels like it's splitting in two like a Thanksgiving turkey wishbone. I am sitting here sweating bc of the pain. Didn't happen with dd1, but this is normal right?
I think I may have oral thrush, at least that's what Dr. Google is pointing to. My tongue has a white coloring to it and it looks almost furry (gross, I know!). It is also pretty sore, especially when eating and I constantly have a nasty taste in my mouth. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and given pills to get rid of it, but they didn't seem to help at all. My doctor has now prescribed a cream, but I am half way through the treatment and am not seeing much of a change. I'm wondering if what I have is actually a yeast infection because from what I have read it can be related to oral thrush, and that could be why the treatments they are giving me are not working. I had a minor yeast infection when pregnant with DS, but have never had anything this irritating and itchy, it's miserable! Has anyone else ever had either of these problems or both at the same time? I will bring the oral thrush question up to my OB next week, but I'm hoping to be able to figure out some at-home treatment since the cream that I was prescribed cost over $90.
@Steephers123.. Yep, pubic symphysis pain. It's so real and so uncomfortable! It's just from the Relaxin making your ligaments all loosey goosey so the two halves of your pelvis aren't held together as tightly as usual. Shifting (even the tiniest bit), can be super painful

Yup, that sounds like oral Thrush alright... I wouldn't leave it for a week though, I would go get checked out as soon as you can so they can get you started on some Nystatin (solution you swish around in your mouth). It's only going to get worse if you leave it untreated for a week.
I am also majorly drooling.. I wake up a few times a night and move my face to a different part/other side of my pillow. So gross! I used to drool growing up but hadn't done so in quite some time. This is like.. baseball sized wet spot on my pillow, that my face sticks to. Utterly disgusting.

This, this, this. The only relief I've found is doing pelvic rocking exercises. But I basically need a crane to get me in that position. Only 4 more weeks!
I have a rash! It started on my abdomen yesterday and is spreading up my chest and upper thighs today. It is very minor right now but a little itchy. I saw the mid-wife today and we are hoping it isn't PUPPS. I don't have stretch marks on my abdomen like is usual with PUPPS but I do have scars from previous surgeries and the rash is all over them. Ugh...praying it is a minor skin irritation from the heat or something and goes away soon!
@hejo2016 I also deal with varicose and spider veins. Sucks!
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
I forgot all about drooling! I drooled so bad last pregnancy that I had to wash my hair some mornings just because of the drool. I wonder if we are sleeping hella deep or something?
@frogdog06 I smelled so bad after DD1. H swore he couldn't smell me but man, it was bad, no matter how much i showered or what deoderant I used. As far as I know, it did go away haha!
I've been dealing with ongoing cramping today. Trying to take it easy and drink lots of water. Good thing I don't have a crazy schedule at work today, but I do have a breastfeeding class after so I won't get home until 9 or so
Thank you for the advice @yellowrose314, I am going to try to get into the convenient care clinic after work today. Hopefully they can get it cleared up quickly because it's getting uncomfortable to eat with my tongue being so sore and I love my food lol.
I believe I had my first experience with contractions stronger than stereotypical BH. I had a dream that I was going to the ER for regular contractions when I woke up to the worst pain I have ever felt and couldn't move (although I tried.) This happened maybe about 3-4 times then I zonked out again at 4 am.
Posting to say that if this is a new symptom/ preview of labor then my hopes of doing light medications/later epidural are NOT even making it on the birth plan.

I had this too recently! One night I had a lot of period cramp type things off and on which were uncomfortable but not painful. Then a few nights ago, I was on my left side and tried to roll over to my right and had the most pain all along my entire abdomen. I felt around and it felt really hard. I just laid there wincing and wondering if that was a real contraction? Then I wondered... Are all contractions that don't happen during labour called Braxton hicks? Or would the lighter period ones be Braxton hicks and the stronger one a "real" contraction? Could I say I'm having contractions or are they still considered BH until I'm in labour?
Omg. @RG1 That is precisely the conversation I had on FB this morning when I posted about my night. I just said BH but when I explained them to someone who is a month behind me for her second kid said those were definitely not BH but real contractions that weren't escalating to labor but dropping off. That totally threw me off because everyone says "you'll know when it's time/real" and I honestly doubt myself. They were awful. Truly. I considered waking my husband up but since I haven't been able to be settle enough lately to let him sleep, so much so that he has missed work, I decided not to-which was good since they eventually went away. I was literally wincing and clamping my jaw shut to not make any noise. It was bonkers. I was really scared and totally doubt my ability with real labor now.
I have to admit I have no idea what that "I feel like baby's about to fall out" feeling is, can't even imagine it. I'm pretty sure baby dropped and I feel her on my cervix and the lightning crotch is intense, but other than that and constantly feeling like I have to go #2, I can't imagine the feeling of a 7lbs+ being about to fall out of there.
@ansley0319 Yes this experience made me doubt when i would "know" as well. I'm sure if they became more regular I would have done something about it instead of just laying there in agony.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom If I may ask, are you "waddling" when you walk? I ask because I imagine the feeling that promotes that type of walking is what people are referring to? It often HURTS me to get up and walk and I have said a few times that my baby may fall out. Hahaha. At my 36 w cervical check, my midwife said my baby was head down and pressing my cervix and pelvis very hard. Chilling and waiting to shoot out. I was like no kidding ! I have noticed...
I've experienced all ends of the spectrum - real labor contractions (with DD) and BH in varying ranges of intensity. And even I can't tell you, definitively, where the line is drawn between the two! There have been plenty of nights I've woken with pains playing the "BH, labor or gas?" game. It's scary because I'm not sure I'll know right away when it's the real deal...buy can only trust that my body will help me figure it out, when the time comes. Hopefully for you ladies, too!!

I've had this too, but I think it's actually round ligament pain or gas pains. I think the ligaments get strained or the pressure of baby on my intestines makes it happen because I have to sleep on my side for so long and can't toss and turn at night. Contractions are distinctive (real or BH) because my whole abdomen tightens up like a rock. I've been having those every evening since 35 weeks. Last night I woke up with the sharp pains and winced my way to the bathroom. I passed gas and they went away. I also had the same feeling happen when I got in a swimming pool a couple of weeks ago. I seriously hurt so bad I could barely move. Same thing, I think it was the shift in pressure on my ligaments/intestines because after a few minutes it just went away.
@ansley0319 I've been wadding since 12w because of pelvic pain. I have lots of pressure and she's head down and really low but I guess what I'm saying is I haven't gotten and can't understand that she's about to "fall/shoot out" feeling. I guess it's because I can't fathom her "shooting" out that easily, idk.
@TheTamedShrew my OB tells me a full bladder, gas and constipation triggers BH! Maybe that's part of what you're feeling... unless you're not getting the belly tightening when the gas happens. Lord knows we pregnant women know about gas pain.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom I understand what you mean but the waddling I have had has been kind of like since I can't close my legs all the way comfortably. Haha. I'm just making an assumption about the falling out statement though. That's how I feel and the context I've meant it in.
@TheTamedShrew I've been making the round ligament and / or gas pain assumption too. sometimes full bladder induced BH wake me up, but they're distinct from other discomforts.
Speaking of gas-- it has gotten worse this past week. I'm at the point that it escapes when I shift positions in my office chair. Pretty happy I'm working from home. Still, thanks baby!
My butthole really, really, really itches. Postpartum hemorrhoids is no joke. I think I'll have to do a sitz bath daily and make sure I drink more water.

I appreciate your honesty. Have you tried Tucks pads? Are you able to clean up well after poop? An itchy ass hole is one of the worst feelings in life.
@MrsVoorhees haha, it's just so freaking uncomfortable! Yes, to Tucks and EMAB peri spray and Dermoplast. I just put some Tucks in the freezer for the first time though. I just seriously had no idea that my bunghole would be more problematic than my vajayjay.
@nativetexan512 Just after. I looked up various treatments online and it appears to be a common postpartum symptom. It's more uncomfortable than painful though, so don't worry! It probably doesn't help that I wear a pad all the time for the vaginal bleeding (also not painful atm), which isn't that breathable for the peri area.
Holy crap my ankles are so swollen. And it feels like it came on really fast too; we were walking around the ferry terminal and my feet started tingling, I looked down and holy edema batman!! Sat down and poked my ankles and it's leaving a mark that takes a few seconds to go back to normal. I did call my midwife who said to see if we could find a pharmacy to check my BP but the only one close didn't have one, so now we're waiting to get on the ferry so I can ask the first aid attendant to check it for me... This is the first time I've noticed major swelling that I can't attribute to work, and even then it was no where near this bad.
@yellowrose314 I hope it goes down soon, but don't let it stress you too badly yet. Earlier this summer, I had my worst swelling incident after flying from Alabama to NY via Orlando, then driving another 4 hours to Ottawa. I was puffy up to my knees for about a day and a half, but after I was able to get more regular activity and food, it went back down to the normal low level swell. I'm guessing (hoping?) the exam plus sitting in the sun for the ferry are a big part of it!
My new-ish symptom is a fuzzy tickle in my ears lately. It's right about where my ear canal opens up to the outside. It comes and goes, but it's really annoying!
@Jabreen not quite the same but I've been having an annoying ear issue too! Ever since the 2nd tri hit, pretty much whenever I exert myself at all, my left ear pops. It is so annoying, and I haven't found any way to get rid of it, it will just go back to normal on its own at some point later that day.
Speaking of ear issues, I've had ringing in my ears for the last five hours. My blood pressure is low, so it's not that, but it sounds like there's nothing that can be done for it? Anyone with any experience? I'm about ready to scratch my brain out through that ear!

frogdog06 this terrifies me, I am already dealing with hemis pre baby and wondering how much worse will they get???
Can I ask - did you have them pre-baby or just after?
