Yeah, I've been doing those exercises and walking and swimming with no luck. I wonder if she will still turn on her own and not even do the ECV, but I guess I'll know more after I talk to the doctor today. We shall see I guess
39 week appointment today. no progress at all over the last 3 weeks. still 1 cm, 70% effaced. i know it doesn't mean anything with regards to timing, but i was really hoping these random contractions and feeling so awful was actually doing something!!
Had my 39 week appointment to find out he's flipped breech (was transverse at our 35 week appointment and head down at 37 weeks). He's been a big mover this whole pregnancy and I've felt him flip quite a bit. I'm wondering if it's because my muscles are still so lose from having DD and he's not stuck in any one position. Right now I'm trying the spinning baby exercises. I'm just hoping he turns again before I go into labor or we'll be heading in for a c section.
We go in for an ultrasound and BPP this afternoon. Back to the Dr tomorrow morning for my 40 week appointment. I'm going to be assertive and flat out ask to schedule an induction, for this week! I don't feel comfortable waiting another week, and really can't. My big kids go back to school next Wednesday. I can't be having a baby next week! I just don't have time!
40 week appointment tonight... I can't believe how naive I was... I thought because I tracked my cycle and knew when I conceived and my exact due date that I wouldn't go late.... O well
We had our ultrasound and BPP this afternoon. They are estimating baby to be 7lb.15oz now.. I know that can be off by up to a pound give or take, but that seems an awful lot bigger than we thought he'd be considering the ultrasound at 32 weeks estimated that he'd only be 6lb 1oz. by 39 weeks! Seems he may not be the tiny little guy we thought he'd be! It's back to the OB tomorrow morning! Hoping for an induction date, or that I go into labor tonight on my own.
@katm89 my mom said did you estimate wrong maybe its not the time yet, i was like no I know when i had my period last lol will see what they say tomorrow about me getting induce I want it done ASAP my body can't hold on much longer, she dropping down feels like i wobble and drag my body now a days.
@Katm89@emmeline714 I hate it when people tell me I must have gotten my due date wrong. Impossible. I was tracking ovulation with temps and charts and we only had sex twice in November, 48 hours apart during my ovulation window. Got a BFP 8 days later. No questions there. But I also feel naive because I thought I couldn't go too far over since I knew exactly when I was due.
@JournoGrl23 My due date is definitely not wrong... according to the first day of my last period my due date is Aug 5th... I told my MW at my first appt that my correct due date was Aug 15th... and she suggested a dating ultrasound to be sure... sure enough ( bec I was tracking temp) my due date changed to aug 15th... I have long cycles... I thought there is no way I will go far past due... since my original due date was aug 5th!!!!!... technically I could be considered 11 days past due lol... if we didn't have technology to prove otherwise... kinda crazy to think back in the day I would have been induced already...
So at my appt yesterday they checked me and I am 2cm dilated and 70% effaced... last week it was 1cm and 70% effaced... so some improvement even though I know it means nothing. I didn't spot after this check like last time. My midwife told me that if I don't go into labor by Thursday I need to schedule an ultrasound to check fluid for next monday... and I also had to make another appt with her for monday to have a check up and a NST... I will do the membrane sweep next monday... and DH will drive me home (normally we meet there in separate cars... he comes from work).
@JournoGrl23@Katm89 I get the same thing, my mom said you probably just got the dates mixed up and I was like oh no i remember everything and I am now passed due I calculated the 11th based on everything but doc said Aug.15 so I was like sure lol ...... I have doc appt today and this morning was just miserable I really want her out my body is just not doing well no more, i felt like crying once i step out the house and try to get in my car because that is so much pain and fatigue I feel like I can't be pregnant any longer hopefully my OB says something good and that I will have this baby and get induced ASAP
@emmeline714 thats good news.. the foley bulb only stretches you to 3cm dilated...so even though the dilation means nothing... its atleast 3 cm you don't need to do at the hospital

39 week appt this am. I'm at 4cm now, but still only 50% effaced. She did do a membrane sweep and it wasn't painful for me at all. I think being 4 cm made it a little easier to do.
@Katm89 It has to be because of that. Usually anything check or internal exam related hurts like hell for me because I have a weirdly tilted uterus and a cervix that likes to hide, but this was not bad at all. Unfortunately I had to come straight to work after my appt. Really would have liked to had some time with DH to move things along. Although sex is truly the last thing I want right now (SO uncomfortable), I know it is what worked for us last time.
Don't be too jealous @texasmama2014. She told me she had another patient who had been at 5cm for over two weeks, so encouraging! Ha. But, she did say she would be happy to go against office protocol and induce me next week if I wanted because my cervix was so "favorable." I felt like my cervix won some kind of contest after that comment. I'm happy to know she won't make me go until 41 weeks.
40 week appointment today, still only 1cm and 50%. Dr did a membrane sweep and scheduled induction for 6:30 tomorrow morning, since the MFM recommended I deliver right around 40 weeks due to GD. I'm already 40W2D. Ultrasound yesterday showed baby to be around 7lb. 15oz. I've had some mild cramping and maybe even a few contractions since the sweep, so hopefully that is moving things along on it's own.
I had my post due date appt yesterday with an ultrasound and NST. Baby girl is doing well and is really happy in there. Midwife did a sweep and I am 2 cm and maybe 50-70% effaced. Cervix is still high up.
I will go for another ultrasound on Monday then head to L&D to start induction if she hasn't come on her own.

40 week appointment today and I'm dilated less than a cm, 50% effaced. She was able to strip my membranes, which wasn't too bad but I'm definitely crampy and spotting after that. FX it works; otherwise induction is scheduled for a week from today.
I had an appt. today at 38+4. I guess they don't really do cervical checks here to tell you how much you are dilated. Baby hasn't dropped, but I was told I have a "nice wide pelvis". Ha. Like there was ever any doubt?
She also said she doesn't want me to go many days past 40 weeks, so that means I will have an August baby! It was kind of crazy getting a real end date.
Had my 40 week appointment today at 40w2d. About a half a centimeter to maybe one dilated. No other change. Got an ultrasound to check her biophysical profile and she passed all the tests. So it looks like I'll be induced in six days and will finally get to meet this little girl then!
@katm89 I will be giving you a run for your money. 39 weeks, four days. No dilation. no progress. nothing. I opted to induce on the 29th. She would have induced next week, but everything looks so good that I don't want to chance it.

@JournoGrl23 I hope so... but it doesn't seem to happen and hope kind of makes it worse lol... god I sound ridiculous... @texasmomma2014 I declined the membrane sweeps because I know my body is doing things and why mess with it... but ugh it sucks to have done that... its like I get so hopeful at appts ...and then throughout the week I lose all my resolve... especially when I go to work and people are like giving me advice and asking such inappropriate stuff like if my mucus plug came out... like... if you were my gf ok I'll chat about that.. but we're at work... go do your job
@texasmomma2014 I am an oversharer at heart... and so its hard because people ask questions and then they can't handle my answers... and frankly I could get into everything and then walk away feeling like wow... i should not have shared that... at my old job( I worked in a preschool) we all chatted about details of birth and sex lives and such... it was much less formal than here... and frankly its the new girl asking me all those personal questions... I finally snapped at her yesterday and she has stopped asking... it just felt very aggressive... like she was complaining that i'm overdue and saying things like "You're not having ANYTHING happen?" ... "well, are you even dilated!?" "did you lose your mucus plug" ... any contractions? and she has this annoying habit of looking at me with a pity look like "awwwwww"
@Katm89 I completely understand. That's how I feel too. I keep getting my hopes up and sitting here hoping and wishing it would happen only makes it worse, especially when it doesn't. I've just decided to count down to my induction and am just assuming there's no possible way it'll happen before then. It's helped some.
@Katm89@texasmama2014 sex was what probably put us into labor and a pot roast. Lol. Just a plain old beef pot roast and carrots.

@LWC1112 DH and I have worked rather hard and getting intimate almost 3 times a week these past two weeks. I think it has definitely helped.
I will go for another ultrasound on Monday then head to L&D to start induction if she hasn't come on her own.
