Where the nursery currently stands... I have been staring at paint all week!!!! We need to get a move on!!!!! First pic is the room now, second is paint we are using 3rd and 4th are our inspirations.
I finally get to start setting up the nursery this weekend! We move Saturday to our new place and I just can't wait to get busy! MIL is ordering the crib/dresser this weekend and I'm so excited!
The baby's rug came today ❤️Now I just need my husband to move the office furniture out of the office so we can move this bed into its new home. I can't wait to get the crib set up!
Okay, so since the name banner thing wouldn't work on its own over the crib bc of the shape of the top of the crib, I was thinking about seeing how a combo of this stuff below would work. Basically, my neighbor has some old windows I can use and refinish, then I can hang the banner across it. So, imagine all these pics kind of mixed together... (Top two are inspiration and bottom two are what I have. I don't have a pic of the window yet) Thoughts?
Thankyou. Quite proud of myself as I wouldn't accept any help off anyone apart from the carpet fitter haha.. can now stop stressing and enjoy the last 10 weeks of pregnancy x
Its kind of a mess but somehow the curtains make me feel so much better. They're a tad too long but some of that hemming tape should fix that right up. I'm feeling so much better about the nursery. DH is almost done refinishing the dresser and twin bed, the glider/recliner will be here by the end of August, and the crib mattress is on the way!
It's coming along piece by piece, but I'm totally in love with how the wall collage came out. I'm super impatient so now I want to stay up and finish the rest of the room, but it's bedtime so the rest will wait for another day.
I'm starting to think the nursery won't happen until after baby.... ah... the joys (and struggles) of building your own house)
I feel your pain, though I'm sure to a lesser degree. We are *ever so slowly* converting our garage into what will be our bedroom, DS will be getting our current room and the baby will get his room. So I guess the positive is that the baby's room is all set up....we will just get to deal with construction with a newborn and toddler. Which was pretty much my nightmare come to life.
Finally making some progress! Had carpet installed this week, put the crib together, and trying to figure out where it will all go in the room. Oh, and the twin bed will eventually be more of a day bed - just need to find new bedspread set. Also, finally moved the pile of baby shower presents that's been sitting in our living room into the baby's room - where it will all go now is still a mystery.

Pretty much in the same boat. Converting garage into master, master into nursery for both LOs. My babe's crib is still in the makeshift "nursery", i.e. dining room. We totally COULD be done, if it weren't so hot and I wouldn't feel so guilty about asking FI to go work on the garage after he gets off work and out of his sweltering welding shop he's stuck in for 10 hours a day =/
We put the cribs together this weekend even though the baseboards aren't up. I'm impatient and wanted to make sure the bedding matched. DH said that I'm lucky we are still married. Haha.
@nlane0723 I love it! Those are the cribs I wanted and set up I wanted originally. Played out different with the style of our nursery room, but I'm still jelly of yours!
@bnsmith85 Love that idea!!!! We've been looking everywhere for some old window frames for our room to do some sort of art installation, but have had no luck! DH thinks he may have a client go can nab some for us, so fingers crossed!
Things are coming along here. Our rug came and it really brought the room together. We had purchased a green and white glider to replace the one we have that I thought didn't match... but with the rug, it all seems to fit. So we're returning the new one lol. OH WELL! I think DH is about to lose his mind with me, but hey, we're saving 160.00 by returning it! Pictures to come once our new frames get here.
@Julia70286- my neighbor got hers on that offer up app and she looked the other day, there are TONS available. You should check that and Craigslist out. I bet both would have some
I'm so jealous of everyone's big rooms! huhuhuhuhu. Meanwhile San Diego is the 13th most expensive city for rent, and we are having to put our baby in a closet. LOL. No but seriously, we do.
So here's what we have so far and I need advice. Do you see that molding on the wall behind the crib? I hate it, but I cannot remove it because: 1.) it's a rental and those moldings used to hold the shelves that we took out because 2.) this used to be a closet. And now it's a baby nook (babe is sharing with his step-sisters who we have 2 weekends a month).
Any advice on how to spruce it up? I was thinking a pom garland.... but then if I have a garland, I can't have a baby mobile.
DH suggested decals... but I dunno if I wanna go that route.
Honestly what I'd love is a map of the world blown up as a wallpaper background...but because of those stupid ridges, I can't make it happen.

Help!
@annabenanna I would skip the garland and the mobile and do the tissue paper poms and or different sized paper lanterns! And just pepper them around the ceiling maybe some sort of accent color along with the gray and white
@cbamama641, ah I love the idea of poms!!!! I think that's a great idea and that way I can have it on both sides/different lengths. Thanks so much, I don't know why I didn't think of that!
