Thanks @lotsofsunshine@entropicallyfavored !! I am legit falling asleep as he is talking about DH's job and all. Snoozeville for me but it's great that they're catching up. No talks of his mom yet.
Spent 4 hours being monitored at the hospital last night. Bedrest for me. High blood pressure and contractions at 35 weeks. Dr kept saying if you were one week further along we would just go ahead and let you have these contractions. But since I'm still preterm they gave me 3 shots to stop the contractions. Emotions are torn. I want him to stay in longer because it's best for him but I also want him out!!
@Allisun85, I would blame the doctor and say the pediatrician said absolutely not. FACT: Cows milk can cause GI bleeding in infants younger than 10 months to 1 year of age!!!
@Katm89, I would look into moving IF that is what is best for your family. You might find a new job with better benefits. Example, the University that I work for covers 100% tuition for full time employees AND their immediate family with the exception of the Law and Medical school. You may find something way better than what you have now.
While at work I got the sudden and urgent need to clean. I cleaned out my desk and dusted and threw away trash and took things to recycling. I even considered cleaning other people's desks. I've heard the old wives' tale of a need to clean kicking in right before labor starts. I wish that were true! But I'm hoping to take advantage of this sudden productivity on my days off this week and clean the whole house. I just hope this sudden urge doesn't go away before then.

This was me the day before baby A was born. Wknd before, I got ready for A's room. Day before, I gut cleaned our living room that stayed a mess since I got pregnant. Contrary to DH's warning to "take it easy," I lifted boxes, vacuumed, bent down to pick up extra little trash here and there, swiffer'ed and all!
@AliKay20 I'm glad you were able to get so much done and right before baby A came! I'm going to clean the house today, but I bet by the time this one comes it'll be dirty again. My dog sheds a lot so you can't tell a difference two days later.
@KMeredith82 DH has been lusting after one for ages. The only thing holding me back us that I'm gonna be a SAHM now and vacuuming is one of the chores I actually enjoy lol. Can't have the robots replacing me!
@car0liiine we both dislike vacuuming and we have 2 goldens and 2 long haired cats - so it really should have been happening more frequently! I'm impressed that you like vacuuming, I would rather do most other chores
We'd been looking at one for years as well but couldn't justify the cost. We got one on some big Amazon sale though so that helped. We still have to vacuum some, plus it doesn't do stairs or furniture, but we run it almost every day (switching between first and second floor), and it's been great. I used to be really embarrassed if we had people stop, so it's been nice to feel like we can have visitors whenever now. Plus I think it's forcing me to try to keep up with everything else a little better
@KMeredith82 Is it seeming to hold up/getting most of the fur off the floor? We have a Bernese mountain dog and I feel like I am constantly vacuuming. My DH wants a roomba but I was worried all the fur would end up breaking it (since the only vacuum that has lasted us is a Dyson).
@kmeredith82 We just bought one on Amazon Prime Day for that very reason! We just set it up and on the first run, it got full of dog hair halfway through the downstairs. I think that's a sign we really needed it and justified the cost.
@Mrsrundell have you checked if your hospital supplies one? I asked at our tour last week and they said they have them to use during labor.
Our hospital provides them as well!

@midwestbaby@bookhousegirl I actually am not sure if they provide them but, kinda just want to bring my own - I feel kinda skeeved out thinking about using the hospitals

They had the peanut balls lying around in the labor rooms. I had no idea what to do with one as I was only used to the round exercise ball so the nurse found me trying to bounce on the peanut ball. Picture this preggo walrus losing balance trying to sit on that peanut ball (not meant to be sat on). She nicely said, "oh that goes between your legs usually..."
Anyway, I've also seen a fair share of people bringing their balls in - fully inflated! Maybe have your DH bring it from the car once you have been admitted? You're definitely not the only one bringing one in fully pumped!
@DressageDarling we got the 700 series, which had a different roller system (it's rubber) so the fur doesn't really get caught up in the rollers, which has always been the issue with regular vacuums. It does require some upkeep, we do have to check it to make sure fur isn't stuck somewhere, but it's very easy to clean and empty. It's held up great, we've had it for over a month now. At first it would get full very quickly, but if we stay on top of running it, it can go for longer before it gets full. I like that it goes under the furniture and beds, which we are never able to get. I will say it works way better on hardwood floors vs our carpet. It works on carpet but the carpet needs to be realtively clean - if we let that go too long, it kind of gets overwhelmed and full quickly so at that point it's almost easier to use the regular vacuum. The biggest "negative" for us is that one of our dogs is scared of it and scratched some doors trying to get away from it when we tried to run it when we weren't home. It would be a little nicer if we could schedule it while we are work, but we make it work.

ETA: I didn't end up using it, so I'm glad I took it in deflated and it wasn't taking up hardly any room.
