Still in hospital They're trying to rule out any liver issues before proceeding with the preeclampsia diagnosis. Not going to lie, I'm scared. This wasn't what I expected at all. Every hour he's still cooking I'm happy. No other remedy but to induce me once diagnosis is made. I'm really missing my dog and what's ironic is that we had our childbirth classes, breastfeeding seminar, labor and delivery tour and car seat fitting all scheduled for this weekend! Ha. Alanis Morisette should add that to her song. DH is at the car seat fitting now. Little guy is supposedly weighing 4lbs 10 ounces right now so I'm hoping he continues to grow and grow. Hes a fighter though and looking so good so I'm hoping he's in there for at least another week- or more! Again, even another hour just feels like an accomplishment now. Talk about a mind reframe.
I know pregnancy isn't always the most comfortable but enjoy those little ones in you!!! I've never felt so grateful than I do now to feel those kicks. I'm sorry for complaining about pregnancy, Finley
@mom2adoodle take it easy on yourself. We unfortunately can't control what will happen, only how we react to it. We're all hoping that baby can stay in as long as possible. Even if that's not in the cards for you, you are in the right place and you have a great team to care for your LO. We always want the best possible outcome but sometimes this means something we never expected! Stay strong!

@mom2adoodle Thinking of you! I hope you get to go home with baby inside but 4+ pounds is great and you're at a great place with people who know their stuff. I love how you're taking it one hour at a time. Good mind frame!
I just called to order pizza and ordered myself a sandwich and there's one dressing that I freaking love that only this place carries. They have now discontinued it. I got choked up on the phone while ordering and the guy thought I had hung up until I could compose myself.
I've been MIA all week and I'm just signing on for the first time in what feels like forever... There's no way I'll be able to go back and read all 400 posts on here but I'm going to scroll through quickly at some point.
Anyway, the reason for my disappearance is because we closed on our condo on Tuesday!!! This whole week has been spent painting, packing, and starting to move, and I am EXHAUSTED but so freaking excited. I'm so excited that LO finally has a nursery (that I painted myself, and I'm madly in love with the colors), that we can finally start setting everything up, and that we finally own a place of our own for the first time!! The next week or so I'll probably be pretty sparse because we still have a lot of work to do before we move on Wednesday, but I just wanted to pop in to say hello since I've clearly missed a lot.
I can't wait to share pics from my shower and also to share some pics of this nursery finally, once we get it all set up!!
@mom2adoodle I'm late to the game today, but just saw your posts and want you to know I'm thinking of you and LO. Hopefully LO can find a way to bake a little longer and hoping the liver elevations aren't anything serious.
@mom2adoodle as other have said, thank you for the update and do not beat yourself up about any pregnancy complaints. You didn't wish for this situation. Hoping things clear up for you both and again, 4lbs10oz is a solid little baby. My niece was born at 4lbs and gained quickly!!
@mom2adoodle DS1 was born at 34 weeks - 4 pounds 12 ounces...never lost an ounce the entire time in the hospital and by the time he was 2 months old was 10.6 pounds, and over 15 by four months! Babies are resilient Although I'd much rather yours stay in there for a few more weeks, just wanted to give you a positive story of a little one coming earlier than expected!
@mom2adoodle I'm just catching up on the last several days and I just want to say I'm sorry you're going through this!! Here's hoping baby stays put as long as possible. Hang in there mama, they'll take good care of you and baby no matter what happens!!
This pales in comparison to what some other ladies are going through... But I am so flipping uncomfortable. I am solid baby from my ribs to my pubic bone. It just hurts.
@mamadomino I know the feeling. I can't imagine how these two are possibly going to find any more room to grow at this point, they're so crammed in there.
I've got butts and elbows sticking out everywhere (at least it feels like it) and my sides are so sore where their shoulders are. And to top it off, my cat loves to stand and lay on me right where my sides and stomach are the sorest. She's a itty bitty little thing, but damn do those little feet hurt when they press into me!
@MojieJo yesssss! I am just stretched to the max. My bump is so tight all the time! My son doesn't understand and whacks into it all the time which just huuuuurts. I'm hoping to make it another 5 or so weeks but damn I just don't see how that's going to work!
I can't imagine what it's like with 2 in there and having a toddler bouncing all around you @mamadomino. Tonight my DS elbowed me HARD right underneath my boob/top of my ute and I just screamed. He in turn threw a bunch of his books in the air and yelled at the top of his lungs. I guess I need to learn to control my outbursts
Massage: I haven't been able to schedule a prenatal massage because I suck at planning ahead. My neck and back are killing me. Our walk in massage place in the mall is fantastic, but I've avoided it because they don't specialize in prenatal. Am I ok to go for a 15-20 minute chair massage tomorrow? I know there are pressure points to avoid, but any other reason I couldn't do this? Ive already scheduled a prenatal for next week, but I really need something before then...
I have such a blinding headache that I want to cry... I'm so tired and just want to sleep but it keeps waking me up. At what point should I be concerned, as my BP was up last appt?
