I think my husband is the opposite of you all. He's crazy worried the baby is going to drop any second and keeps cancelling potential plans IN OUR CITY just in case baby arrives early. Like he wanted to go to a Vikings home game at the end of August - a full three weeks before baby is due - but he was hesitating so I had to convince him to go ahead and get the tickets. Sure, there is a small chance he won't be able to go, but we'd only be out a small sum of money, and I'm sure he could find a friend who will happily take his place. He also cancelled on a golf tournament and few other events that are within an hour or so of our house. We're still 7 weeks out!
I mean, I'm grateful he's worried and wants to make sure to be there for D-Day, but I also don't want him to miss out on all the fun things and regret not saying "yes!" to them once the date rolls around and there's still no baby.
I'm away for one morning and look at all I miss.... Unfortunately I had to attend a funeral this morning for a co-worker and dear friend. She had been sick (cancer) for a while. And while I'll miss her tremendously, there's a sense of relief that comes along with her passing. She just wasn't herself anymore. It was nice to celebrate her life though.
@mom2adoodle - I hope all is going ok. Thinking of you and sending prayers!! @RedMar - My oldest were about a pound less than what they estimated, so that was good. I'm hoping that that's the case for these two as well! @MojieJo - I'm glad the other OB gave you something to help! And while I understand the med student's fascination, NO! LoL, yes let those babies cook! @LizC216 - Jealous! We loved DH's Pacifica before we had to get rid of it. It's so roomy and comfortable. I miss that thing!
I get off at 11:00 on Fridays, but DD eats lunch at 11:30 and naps from 12-2:30, so I have to kill that time each Friday. I pay enough for daycare, they are feeding her hahaha if I pick her up before nap, she will sleep 20 min in the car and be ready to go when we get home.
So I went to target and got diapers and stuff, went to the mall to Sephora to get makeup...and now I'm so miserable and uncomfortable from walking that I just came back to work to sit in my office and charge my phone. I can't even enjoy makeup shopping anymore!! I have to figure something out for Friday's, this is just too much time to kill.
My husband informed me that he is planning to go hunting for a week in November. Leaving me at home with a toddler and two newborns. And using a week of the limited vacation he gets, cutting into the time he will be home when these kids are born. I legit just laughed in his face. No.
@MrsVoorhees - While that time to kill sounds nice, it's all in theory at this point. I'd love to have that time to go out to Target by myself and whatnot. But I'm with you. It's just not worth it with how crummy you feel afterwards. I propose a pedicure every other week! That'll at least take up some of your Fridays!

I used to love the free time! Now it's a hassle to get in and out of my car, to walk, all of it. I should cherish it though because soon enough, there will be two. Plus, how can I complain when you have two babies you're carrying!
You all had me cracking up about your DH stories and all the things they want to do so close to the due date or after. I even read them to my husband so he doesn't get any crazy ideas.

Ladies!!! My husband got out early from work and surprised me by dropping off fried pickles to me (my preggo craving) for lunch!!! I am in absolute pickle heaven right now. It came with a spicy sauce too - so good!
Question: Has anyone felt their baby "drop" yet? I know I haven't but a friend of mine asked me so I was curious what ya'll are experiencing.
Nope, but I hope it happens this time! DD didn't drop until late in labor. I don't think you'll actually feel the act of baby dropping, you'll just notice that now it feels like there's a baby crammed into your pelvis. My friends have said walking feels like the head might actually be out of your vagina. From their descriptions (and complaining, but totally understandable) you'll know baby has dropped
My appointment went so great! Until I found out I lost 2lbs, I asked if its a problem that I'm still losing weight and the nurse goes oh no, someone your size it's fine. oh. Thanks.

Yeah I am torn between the awful sensation of feeling like baby will fall out of me vs. wanting relief from the multiple experiences of heartburn err day.

We FINALLY ordered our nursery furniture on Monday and it is being delivered today!! I am beyond excited! We weren't able to look at the furniture in person. It was all on the Target website (the Delta Haven brand), but has awesome reviews. We are shopping for everything else this weekend! Yayy!
@Sbrown721 We got the Delta Sutton crib, and it is very nice. BIL has it for his DD, too, and they still love it. I assume the Delta Haven line will be just as good, so I just thought I'd mention it since you didn't see it in person!
@Megan324 ugh, how rude of her! Sorry! I lost 5lbs after getting diagnosed 8 weeks ago and haven't gained in 4w. I've thought about bringing it up with the doctor but honestly thought that maybe someone would say something rude like that (I grew up with all kinds of comments like this so I feel that's what people would do). I figure, if they don't mention it, neither will I.
I need to compare pics of my current bump to a few weeks ago. My public bone and pelvis is feeling soooo much pressure the last couple of days... but still a lot of movement up pretty high (then again I'm only 5'4"... if I stretch haha), so possibly he's moved down a bit
I went to old Navy between work and daycare. Through tomorrow $2 tank tops, they're not maternity so just hang off my bump... pretty unflattering but omg, the looseness is so much cooler. I bought 4, two large and two xl.. usually wear a medium. The xl will probably be way too big but still... $2!!
You guys have me wanting some wings for dinner! I was going to ask DH to bring BWW but saw the half off deal is dine in only and I don't know that I want to wait so long for a table since it's already a date night spot and full on Fridays. But... wings...
@MrsVoorhees not for every Friday, but perhaps a noon time movie... especially if you have any dine in theaters, or ones with recliners. Entertainment, A/C, putting your feet up. And getting to the movies after little one comes is pretty rare in my experience
@LakeR2014 - can you have your husband call my husband please? He is planning on going to a live fantasy football draft in Massachusetts the 3rd weekend in August. I was excited he had it off and was saying "we definitely can't go camping, but we could try to do a little something" which is when he reminded me that's the weekend of his draft. I told him "uhhh, I'll be 38 weeks pregnant..." Husband "Yeah, will you be able to travel?" No, no I will not. I am not at 38 weeks driving 3 hours to Mass with our toddler while you do a fantasy draft. I keep telling him "you might not be able to go" and he's just not grasping it.. maybe because I went 10 days past my due date with Emmett?? I'm all trying to convince him that 38 weeks is full term and if I'm home alone with our toddler when labor strikes and he's 3 hours away doing a fantasy draft... all hell will break loose.
Of course I'd hate to keep him home and not labor for 4 weeks after, but I just don't see the feasibility in trusting that again. He assured me that he told his buddy he won't be carpooling with him in case he needs to leave. Thanks husband, you're really getting the urgency of this... NOT.
Yeah, my husband wanted to go to a Pearl Jam concert 5 hours away the day before my due date (or the day I come home after my induction, however you want to look at it). I had to put my foot down and be the bad person on this one.

Why have I not done this?!!? I've been dying for movie popcorn anyway!!!!
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom Ugh! I kind of feared that it was dine-in only. But now I have wings on the brain, so we might have to get them with or without the deal.

Shot my first wedding a couple of weeks ago and the bride just got the disk and loved the pics!! Freaking WHEW!!! Totally don't shoot weddings and did it as a favor, I was so worried she wouldn't be happy!!
@Megan324 as someone with naturally curly hair, I would suggest at least bringing hair ties with you to the hospital. You're going to want it pulled back at some point. I'm following @AnnaS930 route and having a friend come braid my hair. I learned how to French braid two years ago when my BFF was pregnant and her pictures look really cute. Even after 24 hours of active labor plus 3.5 hours of pushing.
I told DH that I was making a list for the hospital bag just in case, since I don't really feel like packing it at 31 weeks. He asked me if I wanted him to pack my tactical vest (he got it for me a while ago and it's just sitting in the closet, no idea when or where I would wear a tactical vest). I looked at him like he was insane and he said "you know, in case you go into a coma and when you wake up the zombie apocalypse is here". I'm pretty sure he has been watching The Walking Dead too much!
On another note: I just cut 2-3 inches off my hair and it's so much cooler! Why didn't I do this sooner??
I was was pretty worried about shooting it because 1. I've never shot a wedding before and 2. It's July in Oklahoma and had been 99 degrees every day before the wedding. It ended up being a gorgeous day and I didn't sweat much at all! So relieved it's over though!

and 45 grams is totally acceptable for the cheese.

I want baby to drop so that I can breathe while sitting at my desk at work. This is ridiculous. I am always out of breath!

ETA - So much respect to you for shooting a wedding in the 3rd trimester!! It can be a lot physically anyway but when you're pregnant?! Wow!!
