Keep calm and have a kid. Getting induced.... It's preeclampsia Trying to stay positive and channel my inner birth warrior. Idk what I'm talking about- I haven't even done childbirth classes yet! Lots of emotions but feeling bummed I couldn't grow my little guy some more. Thank you for all the encouragement and support!!
I just watched "Tallulah" on Netflix and ugly cried at the end. Then I had to go sit by DD's bed and watch her sleep for 10 minutes straight.

My child's voice is in that movie! (hair flip emoji)
A friend of ours is a sound mixer for films and worked on that movie and he needed baby talk sounds from a child the same age as ours, so he used a recording of DD.
I haven't had a chance to watch the movie yet, but Im curious to see if I'll be able to spot the moment.
@mom2adoodle Good luck! Stay strong, mama. If the baby is meant to come out now it means that he will be healthier on the outside than in the inside. You can do it!
@mom2adoodle good luck mama!! Hoping for a smooth induction. Finley will be a Leo and personally I think today is a great day for a birthday sending positive vibes! We'll all be thinking of you
D is sick and throwing up and has a slight fever. snuggling her and hoping she can get better quick since we fly back to Dallas tomorrow at 7am.
Looking at the weather and there's a 60% chance of thunderstorms at 7am. Awesome ... I feel like I've been a little Debbie downer these days and I think I just need to be back home and back to our family routine! Thunderstorms please hold off until we are in the air and out of the way, thanks!
@seitzy3 hope D feels better soon and that those thunderstorms hold off! Sometimes you almost feel like you need a vacation AFTER a vacation.
My kids all still have naps on the weekends (including the 5 and 7yos- they don't ALWAYS fall asleep, but I think quiet rest is good for them) and my 5yo told me today that it's "only fair" that I nap too. Hahaha deal!
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
@Themaritimemama oh my gosh. The things I would do if D (only 3) would still nap. I tried for a couple months after we took her binkie away and she just wasn't having it anymore. Even quiet time turned into her performance time
@seitzy3@MaritimeMama3 My child hasn't napped consistently since she was 1. She'll be 2 next month and hasn't slept during nap time in about two or three months. The ship on naps has officially sailed. I still put her down and she hangs out by herself for an hour or so.
Im trying to look on the bright side- I won't have to attempt to schedule life around the naps of two kids.
@mom2adoodle today is a beautiful day to have a baby. I sincerely wish you all the best in the world. You are stronger than you think, have faith in yourself and Finley, we do! Hoping everything goes well and that your beautiful little son does amazing. Hey, you get to meet your squish today!
I need to rant for a minute. So, remember that I spent two hours grouting yesterday? I worked a 12 hour shift last night (after being unable to get any sleep yesterday) and I work again tonight and tomorrow night. Normally this would mean that I would crash today and sleep until 3ish but DH is in charge of golf tournament today and left the house at 11:45. So I had three hours of sleep bc he can't get his priorities straight and he has the audacityto tell me as he's walking out the door "why don't you go ahead and grout the shower floor today since you're up anyway." Guys, if there hadn't been witnesses I could have killed him. With a shovel. Why do these men not understand that growing a baby is a hard enough job?
Re: July Randoms Thread
Best of luck! We are rooting for you.
