What is your baby's Sex?

Steelerfan78Steelerfan78 member
edited July 2016 in February 2017 Moms

Some of us have made it to the exciting point of finding out the sex of our babies!

The poll is obviously for science.

But, also be sure to post whether you are having a boy, a girl, or are remaining team green. This will help @fourPsinapod keep the spreadsheet updated and allow us all to show you some love. And, please feel free to update it yourself if you can.

**Note: To keep this thread from getting too crowded, let's keep all posts limited to the sex of your baby only. Love tits are always welcome and are very much encouraged.**

Oh, and Congrats!!!

@Soontobemomof2, I edited this response  because it was all wonky before, sorry. There's a blood test that can be done at 10 weeks. Others knew earlier because they had genetic testing done during the fertility/IVF process.

Re: the genetic blood test: are you all paying out of pocket or is it covered? Only covered if you're high risk in some way? I don't think I get one...

My doctor offered me a genetic test done simply by taking a sample of blood. I had my test done last week, so I'm still waiting for the results.
@MommaBean I don't think you have to be high risk.  I happen to be high risk but my doctor offers it to all his patients. Check with your doc and good luck!!

I am considered high risk because of my age I am 37. So they also did the genetic testing as well. Im waiting on my results as well.

@MommaBean The lab that my doctor uses works very closely with the insurance companies.  I was told that the most I would pay out of pocket would be $100 for 3 types of tests.  I haven't received the EOB yet, though.

    Thanks, all :)

I did the genetic test too. We called the insurance company and got a quote on how much it would cost. We had to pay a few hundred out of pocket, but we were comfortable with it.

Your EDD is my birthday! :) If she comes on time, she will be a groundhog. :)

We have two sleeping beauties in heaven.
Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016.
Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015.
They will be forever missed. <3

That's what we've been calling her! It made for a wonderful code word when we still weren't public. "Do you want some goat cheese?" "No thanks." "But you like goat cheese!" "Groundhog." "Ohhhh."
Just please tell me that if she doesn't see her shadow, I have another 6 weeks of pregnancy!

So excited for everyone finding out! I probably won't find out until my anatomy scan in another 2 months, which is hard when you're not a very patient person! haha
