@ShanRum3. I have been feeling like this in the morning right when I get up. Usually it subsides during my morning shower. I feel like everything is really heavy down there. I am not sure if it is because LO is dropping or what. It is very uncomfortable.
I am now not only ending the day with swollen feet, but starting the day with hurting feet. Time to start working from home a couple days a week and propping these feet up with pillows. Woohoooo.
So this is gross and probably tmi, but so is everything in the third tri! I've been having lots of loose stools since the other night when I thought I was in labor. And pretty sure I've lost most of my mucus plug by now. Going from constipated, to regular, to this in less than two weeks! It's making me wonder if my body is just that close to labor that it's cleaning me out constantly. Ugh. I hate knowing that labor could start in an hour or in two weeks!
@Stephanie7693 I had that start happening about a week and a half ago, and got really excited. Apparently that can start happening 1-4 weeks before going into labor. Ugh, not cool. But it is a supposed to be a sign that we're getting closer, and a nice change from the constipation.
@jkershaw2013 No anterior placenta. Her movement decreased towards the end of 2nd tri and has been continually decreasing since. But she has never responded to anything I try to make her move the wholewhole pregnancy. I've brought it up at pretty much every single ob appt but they all seem to think she's fine as long as she has one period a day where I get 19 movements in 2 hrs. Kind of annoying because it contradicts everything you read about baby's movement. They've never even wanted to monitor. As long as they find heartbeat on Doppler they don't seem to need any further evidence. Makes me very ready to have her out so I can see how she's doing!
@Mfuller76@tinkerbell11210 I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with that! It's really kinda gross between the poo and the mucus! Especially when it's all at once, I'm afraid I'm going to plug the toilet with tp lol. I'm only 37 weeks, so I'm ok with the thought of waiting another week too. But my doc yesterday was pretty convinced I won't see 39 weeks, and said he'd be surprised if I made my next appt on Thursday! But babies are unpredictable so I'm on edge!
I finally found something that helps the nausea and vomiting! I switched from water to the powdered pedialyte (I had tried the regular stuff a few weeks ago) - it kinda jello's the water slightly and this (thank God!!!!!) seems to actually stay down. I haven't thrown up since this morning, which feels kinda like a miracle.
@Stephanie7693 in my birthing class my instructor said its not uncommon right before labor to have flu like symptoms (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc). I assume it's fairly natural to like clean out your body, kill viruses, etc before welcoming a new little one into the world.
Although if that happens to me, I'll probably just be annoyed that I feel so sick lol.
Realized today my legs are finally swollen. I'm actually amazed it took 37 weeks for this to hit! I just hope it stays mild. Going to try to paint my fat little piggies now
@alyssajrob22. I know, it's a big relief even if it is a little annoying and gross! I feel less swollen down there now that I don't struggle to go anymore. Only pregnancy and motherhood can make poop something to be happy about! Lol
@alyssajrob22@Stephanie7693 I've been having huge BMs this week too and it felt pretty damn good to not be constipated! A new symptom I've also started getting this week is pain in my rectum, anyone else have this? I've been having shooting pains in my vagina and it's all super swollen down there but this is a lot more uncomfortable. I'm almost 35w but I had some PTL at 32w and got steroids incase she comes early. Dr said as long as we make it past 34w he would be happy with that. I'm just wondering if all these symptoms are pointing to labor starting soon? I'm FTM so I'm clueless!

I spoke too soon about Benadryl. It helped me sleep good for 2 nights. I didn't take it the night before last and slept like crap so I took it last night hoping for a good nights sleep. Nope. I fell asleep after midnight. Woke up at 2am to lay in bed and toss and turn until 4am. I even tried eating a half a peanut butter sandwich around 3 to see if the eating theory would work. Still no. And now DD got up around 5:30.
So here I am, grumpy as hell watching phineas and ferb at 6:30am.
I'm in the insomnia boat too. Got home at 11pm from work. Went to bed after midnight. Probably tossed in bed for an hour. I've been awake since 4am when DH's alarm went off for work. 2-3 hours a night is taking a toll on me. I made a few minor mistakes at work this week, but I really can't afford to be this tired working in a medical profession. I can't believe I have to work until late again tonight. I'm over it.
Our baby shower is tomorrow at our house and I'm currently sitting here wondering how we are going to fit all theses bodies in the living room/kitchen.
Dear Body...for the love of God please sleep!!!

@Knottie44929339 I just finished felled DH that I can't sleep more than 2 hours at a time. Doesn't matter if I take something to help or not. I always see 12,2,4 and 6. Or 1,3,5 and 7. Never fails.
Its the one time I'm thankful I'm on bedrest, I can be grumpy and take as many naps at home that I want during the day. But I feel you on the 2 hour thing. It's frustrating!

Pretty sure I am losing my mucus plug--really getting me hopeful that baby is almost ready to arrive! I know it could mean nothing and it could even grow back, but fingers crossed! Also seem to be having some digestive changes.

@searchingforameaning yes specially the shirt that i am wearing today i always spill something on it......
last night i woke out of my sleep to acid reflex was pissed and then i had to go to bathroom that i could hardly get up because my hips and legs were hurting badly from cleaning room and walking, my mom had to do my laundry because i could not go downstairs it was painful..... I hope it goes away, while my walk i felt like LO was kicking my crotch so uncomfortable
@emmeline714 My reflux is in full force too that I am scared to eat anything! My doc gave me permission to take Prilosec now that the I am this far along but it did not work last night. I am so glad the weekend is almost here.
Really not feeling well all of a sudden. I got extremely hot, felt clammy to the touch. My feet visibly started swelling even though Im sitting today and then I got super anxious/jittery and felt like I could pass out. Anyone else get that? Im giving it a little bit and then was going to call my doctor.
@alyssajrob22 I've been feeling similarly since last night. I was thinking it was pregnancy related, but I just had to pick up DS from daycare because of diarrhea, so now I'm thinking it may be the onset of a stomach bug
My tailbone hurts! I'm not having any BH today so in not concerned. Just uncomfortable. What could be causing the tailbone pain? Maybe he's starting to drop? *wishful thinking*
The pelvic pressure/pain has really gone up a few notches this week. I now have that feeling you ladies have described of bruising and feeling like my pubic bone is pulling apart whenever I stand or walk. Also lots of pressure and pain in the rectum. Oy vey. Did not realize how much I would look forward to my anus feeling normal again; add that to the shit they don't tell you list lol
@katienu my doctor had me start on OTC Nexium. I'm not sure if Prilosec and Nexium work the same way, but she told me it could take up to 4 days for it to truly kick in. With Nexium, you have to take it every morning. I did that and felt relief on the 3rd day. You have to keep taking it as a preventative. If they are similar, that may be why you didn't feel relief yet.
ETA... I'm weird about having to take a daily medicine, so once I got through about a week of it I started taking it every other day and that has still kept the heartburn at bay.
@alyssajrob22 I forget which thread I mentioned this the other day, but during birthing class my instructor said its very common to feel flu like symptoms kick in shortly before labor starts. Clears out your systems (vomiting and/or diarrhea) and gives your immune system a boost to kill of anything (fever?) that lingers I assume.
@JEMN I've had a lot of tailbone pressure/pain too. Today at my 38 week appointment the nurse said I'm measuring as if baby dropped. So that must be it!
@AliKay20 have you tried using a donut to sit on? I was so swollen down there after my first that was the only way I could sit comfortably for at least a week. That and keep up on the ice packs as much as you can. That was my nicu baby too, so the nurses were helpful keeping me comfortable as well, even though I was no longer a patient.

Yep, I have that too. Started today when I woke up. Having a lot of pressure and pain in my butt/rectum. So not pleasant!

I know that these are uncomfortable symptoms for all of you, but many of them do sound like pre-labor signs (nausea, diarrhea, etc.) which is exciting! FFFC? I'm a little jealous that you might be close to delivery!
My only symptom is TOTAL fatigue. I want to sleep every hour during the day. Perhaps it is the high heat and humidity down here. I just went to Lowe's with my husband and ended up sleeping on the display patio furniture while he shopped for our final projects! Conclusion: patio furniture=not as comfy as a couch or bed, but still did the trick!
Feel better, mamas! Hopefully it's just a sign that your babies are coming soon!
@katienu i tried everything and nothing has worked i have been drinking lots of water but that ain't helping either, my tailbone hurts, and when i get up, i have to do it slowly because it feels like i might not be able to get up if i do it too fast......worst symptom ever, i have been waddling now and baby pressure down there has been pretty stead than i get a sharp pain down low just very tired today, my plan is to be in bed all weekend!

This exact thing happened to me today. I wasn't doing anything but grabbing a pair of shoes and it almost felt like a panic attack was coming on. I got really hot, light headed, clammy, and my heart was racing. I also felt like I could pass out. It only lasted for like aminute or so but it was scary.
@Katienu, as @LWC1112 said, Prilosec (omeprazole) and Nexium (esomeprazole) are preventative meds. I've been on both, currently on Prilosec. It works by limiting the amount of acid your stomach produces, I believe. So it can take a couple days to work and you can't wait until you start feeling symptoms to take it. Both meds have virtually eliminated heartburn for me (I was eating zantac like candy every day for a couple years) but if I forget to take it, I know I'm kinda screwed for that day but just take it as soon as I can. Hope it brings you relief!

Esp. when I sit down for a long time and get up, the pressure and soreness kick in down there.
I thought my swelling would go down ASAP but RN told me not to be surprised if I actually swell up more before I lose all the fluid. Interesting...
