@BrunetteBabe722 I sometimes get terrible cramping and an urge to pee when I get a Braxton hicks contraction. When is your next appointment? I would have them check a urine sample just in case (for a UTI).

@midwestbaby the 19th. It doesn't feel like a UTI though I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy so I know what a UTI feels like. When I have to pee throughout the day I don't get the cramping and it doesn't burn or anything, it's literally only throughout the night when I need to pee I start cramping. I'm definitely going to ask about it at my next appointment.
@BrunetteBabe722 I have had this, I was recently at L&D for false labor. She told me that when I don't pee and I start cramping it can be contractions because your bladder is pushing on the cervix or something like that. The whole time i was there being monitored every time I had to pre again the contractions would get much stronger. You may be having cramping/Braxton hicks from having a full bladder. I get them before and after I pee all the time.
@BrunetteBabe722 that actually happens to me even when I'm not pregnant. For me I think it's my bladder being in a ton of pain from being too full. But like PPs have said, if you wait too long to pee it can start BH contractions. My doctor warned me of that.
@JournoGrl23 thanks, that makes me feel better! N ow that you guys have mentioned the BH thing I realize my stomach is super hard and tight most of the time when I get up to go pee
This is a new one for me and just started happening yesterday but anytime I'm laying down and I have to pee really bad, if I don't go right away I start getting TERRIBLE cramping. Anyone else experiencing this or something similar?
I've definitely woken up needing to pee and the waddle to the toilet is really painful. It's like baby is on my bladder and my bladder is way too full for the pressure on it.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with the bladder cramps during a contraction. It's actually how I notice them the most.

Sometimes out of laziness I'll ignore the need to pee at night for another hour or so...then I'll get pain/cramping too. Makes it even harder to roll myself out of bed
I tried heartburn things, and no help. It's probably caused by the liver / gallbladder issues I am having. I am blaming EVERYTHING on the gallbladder, not just assuming my body hates pregnancy so that way I might convince myself to do this again someday. Sans gallbladder.
@brunettebab722 according to my doctor- Pregnancy UTI's don't feel like normal UTI's. Apparently with everything smooshed down there your body doesn't respond the way it normally does to infection.
Count me in the camp of Braxton hicks after going to the bathroom/in the middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom. Also, for fun, Baby gets pissed and likes to dance around while I'm in the process of going to the bathroom. Really odd, and unpleasant!
Okay so everyone describes BH as your stomach getting super hard and tight, but that's how my stomach feels all the time? I thought that was just how a pregnant belly felt? It's really super hard. I don't see how it will feel harder during a contraction . . . As far as I've been able to tell, I haven't had any contractions but maybe I'm missing them because my tummy is always hard? But I haven't ever felt a tightening sensation and any pains/cramping I've had lasts for several minutes at a time, not rhythmic.
I also have pain when I have to pee during the night. Not necessarily cramping, but rolling over, sitting up, walking to the toilet are all super painful. And if I ignore it my lower belly is super tender and if I raise my knee up sometimes it will trigger a cramp.
Braxton Hicks actually are kinda crazy - It shrinks and gets *really* hard - like you can't make a dent if you try, and so tight you can see (or at least I can) the outline of the baby. The BH kinda feel like when you make a muscle in your arm as hard as you can - but not under your control, sometimes some cramping along with it. Like "Oh hey, that kinda hurts?" and "Oh look! I think I'm having a contraction!"
I've had actual contractions a couple of times too, and those kinda felt like I was being ripped in half - pain down both legs, around my back and to the point I threw up from the pressure / pain. Sunday I was getting those every three minutes, thankfully it stopped with IV fluids since they told me point blank if these turned productive, I was having a baby! They've forcibly stopped it twice, but I am far enough now they won't. A few more weeks little guy... Keep cookin' in there.
A new symptom for me in the last few days is menstrual like cramping (mild) and pretty bad headaches. Haven't been sleeping well the last two nights either. Will be 35 weeks on Friday. The cramping is freaking me out a little.
I think I legit have pica. I am obsessed with chemical smells- White out, permanent markers, nail salon smell, gas.... I enjoy it when not pregnant, but I am like wanting to huff this stuff!!
ETA: The "enjoy it while not pregnant" means I like the smell, not that I huff stuff...
@ShawnaLynn83 I've had the cramping for a few weeks (I'll be 37 tomorrow) and think it's normal. I've lurked on the July BMB symptoms board pretty consistently and a lot of them seemed to start the cramping around that time, so I wasn't surprised.
@Car0liiine I feel the same way about my tummy feeling hard all the time. No clue if I've had any BH. I have noticed lately that sometimes I'll randomly start to feel breathless. I was assuming it was LO pushing into my rib cage, but now I'm wondering if they could be BH, since it comes and goes when he's not being active. I figure in the end, it doesn't matter. When I'm having real contractions and he's on his way out, I'll know, right? Right?!?
I've had the period like cramping and backache the last few days. It's kinda freaking me out too because I haven't felt it since the weekend I found out I was pregnant. I've been having lots of BH too, to the point of them being uncomfortable. Hoping this means were closer to him coming
The last few days I've been pooping more than usual (sorry if that's tmi), and out of nowhere I started to feel yucky and have diarrhea. And I haven't eaten anything since lunch. I've heard that can be a sign of labor, but I'm kinda hoping it's not. At least today!
My chest and back feel really tight. I described it to my husband that it feels like there is a boa constrictor around my chest. It's making it really hard to breath! Not fun!

When I was pregnant with DD I was obsessed with winded and lemon Clorox wipes. My only non chemical was eucalyptus oil. I loved the smells so much I would sit and smell them while eating ice. Vince 95% (or some random high percentage) of taste is smell it was kind of like eating it. I craved if all the time! It was horrible. Thank god I haven't had it this time. But I do love the smell of chemicals when I'm preg. I feel you
This child is playing the "lets see how uncomfortable we can make you" game. He keeps getting in weird positions and shoving his feet up into my ribs. I really hope I get my date tomorrow so I can't start the real countdown till this is over and we get to meet this baby!

Ditto! She seems to do this as soon as I get into bed. She is really into pushing her bum in the air while at the same time pushing her feet into my ribs, which smashes her head into my bladder. Oh pregnancy, you are so fun.

Yep, last night I just laid in bed wanting to cry. He literally went nuts when I laid down last night and it lasted like 15 minutes. DH was looking at my stomach with his eyes wide open. I just have no more room. And his favorite place/position is on my left side and he digs what I think is an elbow into my side. It's so painful and last night I really felt ready for this baby to be out! I need my body back lol
Right there with you ladies! LO woke me up at 3am with all the position squishing. Made the mistake of drinking water which proceeded to provoke 45 minutes of LO hiccuping. Losing room and constantly moving!!!

Same here! Baby A has pretty much claimed her spot in the middle of my belly, so poor Baby B is trying to make room for himself... in my ribcage! It's so uncomfortable! Found out last week I have bruised ribs because of it. Fun times!
I have been getting lots of lower back pains and light cramping and all i want to do is lay down, right now that is how i feel and i do feel pressure it hurts sometimes in middle of night when i have to go pee but think she loves hugging my bladder and i just want sleep so i try to lay there a few more minutes before i attempt to get up from bed because that also is becoming a struggle/work out and she pushes on my bladder more to the point it hurts so much then i get up and rush to the bathroom, seems like July is going by so slow lol i just wish it was August already so i can be done with all these symptoms and have her in my arms
I have the opposite problem, LO in the past few weeks doesn't move as much and scares me to death!
I'm having the same issue. LO has only moved once this entire morning and it was really early before I went on a run. I've been poking and prodding my stomach, drinking super cold drinks, and still nothing for the last couple hours. He gives me so much anxiety because he is so much more relaxed than DD ever was in my tummy. I'm at work, but am going to try and go lay down on the couch in our board room next to try and get some movement.

This has been me as well, the poking and prodding will make him move but then he goes right back to sleep I guess. I've realized he has times of the day when he is super active, like in the late afternoon.
@lynnlove28 same here. Except this one only has one active time, right before bed. I finally got a tiny bit of movement out of him a few minutes ago; I think he is already back to sleep. It's amazing all the things I can do to my stomach and he still just sleeps through them. I'm sure all is well, but I'm going to talk to my doctor about it today at my appointment.
@LWC1112 I'm gonna mention it to my doctor today as well. I will grab my whole belly and shake it a little it. DH says that I'm bullying our son already lol. He normally gives me a protest kick or roll and then I can only assume rolls back over and goes back to sleep. I guess it's preparing me for teenage years.
Well my lazy baby had to get monitored for 30 minutes at my appointment today. He actually was really busy and my doctor reassured me he was doing just fine.
I used to get a random tingly feeling in my upper stomach almost to the point where when I touched the skin it would feel kinda numb. It seems to be getting worse and it's gotten to the point where it's more of an ache/pain. Anyone else experience something similar? I think I'm gonna give my OB office a call tomorrow.
@BrunetteBabe722 I have something similar to this a little below my right boob. Not sure if you're having pains on the inside too, but that's where mine started. Doc thought it might be gallbladder, but they did an ultrasound and said its most likely my uterus pushing on a nerve. Now, not only does that hurt, but the skin in that area is so sensitive and feels agitated all the time. Almost like a rug burn. Also, the middle of my stomach feels kind of numb, and doc said this is from the stretched skin.
My LO barely moves at all except when I'm in bed at night. The worst thing is she never responds to any poking or shaking or cold drinks or anything. So if I get worried I just have to lay down and focus on nothing else until she decides to give me the faintest little wiggle.
@rikopy that's what I was thinking mine is but then I started googling the symptoms online and you know how that goes lol so I started freaking out a little bit
Just woke up to sharp pains in my lower right abdomen just like a couple days ago, but this time without the matching back pain. Ouch. It's such a weird pain, and it's bad. Hopefully it subsides soon. Anyone else having bouts of pain there?
@Car0liiine do you have an anterior placenta?? My LO usually hangs out sunny side up so I feels her kicks easily but when she's faced towards the back I barely feel her. Is this decrease in movement a sudden change?
Anyone else having an issue with 1 or both of your legs feeling heavy, and just plain tired When you walk? I had that problem this morning, and it felt much the same as when I ran a marathon. Like it just wanted to give out... I had to stop twice and stretch it out just walking from the back to the front of my store. My hip was hurting quite a bit when I woke up too, so I wonder if it's related.
