@tinkerbell11210  It should, not sure how soon after but it should. You can try them braces for your wrist, it may help ease it some.

Today I feel blah. I am experiencing nausea for the first time in a while and since baby dropped, the joys of pressure and on and off cramping. I know this will be all worth it but right now I just want to stay in bed or sit in a bucket of ice.

  • Possible TMI and I'm kinda embarrassed to even ask this, but is anyone else feeling some differences down below? My lady bits are suddenly a lot more sensitive, which I'm assuming is increased blood flow. It's not painful like lightening crotch (which I've had a few times) - it's just weird and I haven't seen anyone else mention it. I'm 36+3 so I'm hoping it's a sign that my body is getting ready for labor!
  • So exciting @jacmkelley! Maybe our babes will come on the same day?! I'm 37 weeks on Wednesday and my body is preparing for eviction too! Lol
  • @Mfuller76 yes! I just feel really sore all the time and it was almost painful the last time DH and I did the deed.
  • @tinkerbell11210 My doctor said in some cases, it can take up to a year after birth for carpal tunnel to go away. For most, 3-4 months after birth is when it'll go away.
  • @Mfuller76 - I've been super swollen and sensitive down there for weeks. The doctor suggested a v compression band and that made it worse. I know baby is head down and big, and the doctor basically just said "that's normal". Ugh. So uncomfortable.
  • Thanks ladies... Glad to know I'm not the only one!
  • I am pregnant with baby #2. I had a scheduled c-section with my 1st (who is 15 months old) due to medical issues on my end so I never experienced actual "labor," although I did experience BH contractions.  So sorry if this is a stupid question!!

I am currently 35 weeks today and for the last 2 days I have been in a lot of discomfort and pain in my lower abdominal/pelvic area. The baby is moving fine, , but it feels like horrible cramping/poop pains (sorry!). I have gotten no sleep the last 24 hours and it doesn't dissipate whether I am sitting/laying down.  The discomfort/pain is always there, although fluctuating in intensity. Normally I am the first one to call a doctor, but I am trying not to look like a hypochondriac for once, so I waited a day or 2. I did put in a call this morning and waiting to hear back, but are these symptoms of early labor or could this be gas pain in some way, stronger BH contractions? What are your experiences in early labor/lablor? I am having a scheduled c-section on August 9th due to my medical.issues.

    Thanks so much!
  • Seems pretty much every time I go from sitting down to standing and walking, I feel like I'm being stabbed in the vagina! It was worst yesterday after I drove the 20 minutes to work and went to get out of my car and walk in... I felt like I was walking bow legged to keep the pain from being so bad. I remember a little of this when I was pregnant with DS2 (almost 7 years ago) but I could have sworn it was a few weeks later than the 35 weeks I am now! I did feel a little relief when I kind of held up on my belly... like maybe he's just so low that his head is pushing everything out of whack.
  • @ShanRum3 is it sharp stabbing pains?? I've been getting this with walking!
  • @brita7869 I had this for several days last week. Brought it up at my ob appt but they said it was just one of those things. I later found out I was quite dehydrated and looking back I think it made it worse. Try drinking a ton of water and see if it eases up by tomorrow.

  • Not feeling good today. Super tired, my tummy hurts and I'm exhausted from doing nothing. Just glad I feel like crap on a Sunday when my husband is home all day. Hoping tomorrow is better. Supposed to be hot and my kids will want to go swimming!

Yes!!! It feels like someone is stabbing my lady bits!

I keep having weird sensations down below -- typically while driving or sitting on a hard seat. It feels like she's trying to shove her fist out of my vagina.

DS was breech so I never had any of this.
  • Woke up this morning to some pretty awful pain in my lower back and stomach on one side. Really hoping it passes soon so I can go back to sleep. But its going to be a tough day if this pain continues
  • @ashleybaker712 I have that too sometimes. Kinda feels like someone is "knocking on the door." Makes me wanna jump out of my skin.
  • @Stephanie7693 I woke up with terrible cramping, I could hardly bend over to put pants on it hurt so bad. It's gone now but my back is killing me ugh hoping your pain goes away!
  • @ashleybaker712. I have this as well. I don't know if it is a STM thing or not, but I never had this with DD1. This LO throws some major punches or head buts down there. It is very uncomfortable.
  • My left nipple hurts like hell. It started this weekend. My right one is fine. I never had any of the breast tenderness in the first trimester. I googled it and all I could find was sore nipples and boobs in the first trimester. I am 34 weeks and wondering what the heck body?

  • @BrunetteBabe722 thank you. I went back to sleep for a couple hours and feel a lot better now. It was so weird, kinda like cramping like you had, but also sharp and dull pain. I wonder if baby was in a weird spot.

@ashleybaker712 all my kids have given me that awful crotch pain in the last month or two of pregnancy. It can be pretty painful, but normal. This baby has been doing that to me a lot in the last few days
  • Um, this may be TMI, but has anyone had skin that will rub off of your nipples?  It doesn't hurt, just not sure what the heck is going on!

MrsEWilson  I have had terrible breakouts on my chest, shoulders, and back since the middle of the first trimester.  I started using Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub and it has cleared up like a charm.  When i stopped using it for a while, i broke out again.  But now i use it everyday (or every other day) and i'm clear.  It does have Salicylic Acid in it, but my doctor said it is ok to use.  I hope this helps.  I know how much back acne sucks in the summer.  As an added bonus it helps keep away razor burn on the bikini line.
  • @sbelle474 Not my nipples specifically, but other areas of my boobs. Wouldnt surprise me though if some was from my nipples and I just wasnt noticing it. Mine doesnt hurt either, so Im not concerned about it.
  • Anyone get carpal tunnel syndrome while pregnant? I'm starting to get it and was wondering how you dealt with it? I'm 34 weeks so not much more to go really.

Echoing those with the god-awful pelvis/hip/back pain.  I've had pain since like January, but up until the last couple weeks, it was reasonably managed with chiropractor, massage, and stretches.  But the last two weeks or so its been bad, and nothing cracks it, and I can't sleep through it.  Baby Boy measured 7.5 lbs and was head down at the 35 week sono last week, so I'm hoping when I see the doctor today and we do the first super fun cervix check, she'll tell me all this pain is from my body at least somewhat preparing for labor... engagement, dilation, effacement, SOMETHING.  I might cry if she tells me that Baby Boy is still nice and high and this is just all because he's super big and my body does not appreciate the extra weight.  Wahhhhhh.

Edited to note that doctor said today that baby's head is engaged, but no dilation.  She's not one to ever tell me measurements, so no clue where in my pelvis his head is, but it's somewhere and she said that's probably causing the pressure.  Baby Boy of course needs to hang on a bit longer, but some progress towards exit makes the pain more bearable!

  • @sbelle474 YES!  This has been happening to me since about week 30, little brown spheres off of the nipple itself (sorry if that grosses anyone out).  My doctor thinks it is "dried colostrum," but isn't sure.  It is weird for sure.  Let me know if you hear anything else!
  • I had my group B strep test today and a cervical check and now I'm having some minor spotting. Anyone else experience this?

@bookhousegirl any time they do a cervical check, spotting is normal. I've had a couple with the contractions we've been dealing with, and I've spotted two out of three times.

Anyone else getting TERRIBLE vomiting? My prescription isn't touching it, I'm throwing up four, five times a day and loosing weight not gaining. I'm going to push my doctor for a bit more help on Wednesday, but I'm willing to try just about anything right now.  I've been drinking well over 100 ounces of fluids a day, and still dehydrated.

  • @Allisun85 - Just nauseous over here, but no vomiting.  So sorry to hear you're going through this.  Have you tried taking anything for heartburn... could that be causing aggravating it?  First trimester, a Zantac at night seemed to make me more nauseated the next morning, but it's helping nausea third trimester, so I am guessing my third trimester ails are part heartburn.  Hopefully they can get some relief for you.
  • I just looked down and realized I've developed Shrek feet. Barefoot at my desk the rest of the day!

@Allisun85 Random bouts of nausea but no vomiting for me either. It's all coming out the other end. Hope you get some relief soon - sounds miserable and you've had enough to deal with!
  • @Allisun85 are you only drinking water to get your ounces in? I know 7up helps me immensely when I'm on a vomitting streak. Hubby likes ginger ale. Also, agree with PP about maybe it's acid keeping your stomach upset and to try some acid reducer?

  • I've had a weird symptom the past few days. My lower right side has been hurting but it almost feels like a nerve or something. Whenever I put pressure on that leg or try to roll over in bed it hurts and almost feel like it's pulling. I don't know if LO has his head in some weird angle but it's really uncomfortable.

@Bookhousegirl I had minor spotting after my first cervical check for a day or two also.  Never had that with DS, but I guess each pregnancy is different.
  • @Allisun85 I've been nauseous more often recently, and I've also found its related to heartburn. If I take Zantac it's significantly better.

  • @midwestbaby yes I had the same thing last week! One of my nipples was super sore and I've never experienced that before. I expected it to end up being both of them, but after a few days it just went away... So strange!

@terezakatarina I have carpal tunnel as well. I posted about it a few weeks ago. I guess it's pretty common in pregnancy due to the extra fluid in joints, plus the swelling. I'm hoping it goes away after delivery!!

  • @terezakatarina I have carpal tunnel in both wrists as of a couple of weeks ago. I wear wrist braces off and on all day long and sometimes, Tylenol will help. My doctor said it can take up to a year after delivery for it to go away.
  • I had my group B strep test today and a cervical check and now I'm having some minor spotting. Anyone else experience this?
Me too! Not dilated at all, unfortunately

    Baby #2 due December 2017
  • @Bookhousegirl I had serious spotting after my cervical check, like as much as a light period day. She had warned me it might happen but it was still alarming to see blood after all this time. I'm so not looking forward to having a period again :frowning:

  • This is a new one for me and just started happening yesterday but anytime I'm laying down and I have to pee really bad, if I don't go right away I start getting TERRIBLE cramping. Anyone else experiencing this or something similar?
