Hi! I'm new to TheBump. I'm 29 and my DH is 32. We've been TTC for 2 years. I'm been diagnosed with DOR and my husband is good to go. Just had our first IUI this month. I'm so grateful for all of your contributions. I am learning so much from everyone, and it feels so relieving to share this experience. Thank you!
I'm a longtime lurker here, but as my husband and I are now actually TTC I figured I'd join in. We've been married almost 3 and a half years and started TTC at the end of April. I'd been dying to start trying for at least a year and had been very optimistic that the universe would reward my patience by quick success once we started trying... but that hasn't been the case.
One thing that we are running into that may be playing into things are some health issues for my husband. He's been dealing with a herniated disc and severe sciatica pain for 9+ months; he's had surgery and countless rounds of cortisone injections and oral steroids in an attempt to correct things. I've found some things online that say cortisone can significantly decrease sperm production - has anyone else had any experience with this?
I've been lurking for a bit, but I've decided finally to jump in and introduce myself. I'm 30 (31 next month), DH is 33, and we have a 2 year old daughter. I had my IUD removed in April, and we've been TTA until now. Thankfully my cycle seemed to have sorted itself out quickly after the mirena, but some of that still remains to be seen, of course. I'm getting back into the temping/OPK groove and trying not to let myself get too wrapped up in it all; I'd forgotten how easy it is with the TTC process to go a bit crazy
Looking forward to participating in the daily threads and "talking" with you all!
@kmj1201 Welcome! I don't have any experience to help you answer your question but I suggest searching the forums with the search bar. If you don't find anything, you can always post a thread. Some people may have answers but not read your intro.
@Blueberry85 Welcome to you too! This is my first month trying, the last few months I've been lurking. I have my IUD removed next week. Was it painful? They wouldn't do it when I had AF because I had a pap already scheduled for the 20th
@slavenski Honestly, I did not feel a thing. I was just chatting with my midwife while she was doing her thing, and she was like, "You're done!" I had no idea haha. Hopefully you'll have a similarly easy and painless experience!
I lurked a little in The Knot when I was getting married, and now I'm here since my DH and I are TTC. We met in film school, have been together since October 2010 and have been married 2 years. I'm about to turn 32 and he just turned 34. I've been off BC since last November and we've been actively TTC since March. I know it's early to get frustrated, but I thought last cycle was it (I was 3 days late and have never been late in my life.)
No one else in my life is TTC right now, so I am here for advice and moral support.
Good morning, Bump ladies. My husband and I got married in October and are officially TTC number 1. I'm 34, so I'm in a bit of a panic thinking of what happens at 35. If I believe what I read, I am doomed the second my birthday hits, right?
Not sure why it cut off my message here, but let's try again...
We got pregnant while I was on the pill in July 2014 and sadly lost it at 10 weeks. It's not been easy and unfortunately it haunts me every month that AF shows, even when not trying.
I started temping last cycle even though it means my alarm goes off at 4:30 on weekends. We are also using OPKs. I stopped taking the pill when we found out I was pregnant, and decided not to restart them since it didn't work anyways. We haven't been trying, or preventing.
I am expecting a long journey, though I will obviously be happy if it's short. It'll be nice to have the support of others going through the same thing.
I also solemnly promise to NEVER post a new thread asking if I am pregnant.
I've been lurking for a few days and decided to introduce myself. I'm 37, DH is 39 and tomorrow will be our 15th Anniversary. We have a 10 year old DS and decided on Mother's Day of this year that we wanted to try and have another child. We are on our 3rd month of TTC and life and my body are way different than when we conceived 11 years ago so it's really like starting all over again! I am trying to take the approach of we will conceive again if it's meant to be but it's hard not to obsess.
Hello there! I'm new to these boards and ready to jump in. I'm 28 years old and my husband and I are ttc our first. I've been off birth control since May and this is our second cycle trying. I temp and use opks to track ovulation. My last cycle lasted like 34 days so I'm really hoping that shortens up a bit. An April baby would be great, so we will see how this cycle goes!
Hello! I've been lurking a bit lately and I can't promise I'll post much but it's wonderful to see people sharing their stories and being supportive. I'm 23 and DH is 24. I just recently got my Mirena IUD out and now we're TTC... I'm nervous as all get out but very hopeful!! We have been married for just over a year, but we've been together 8 years. AF has not visited since I got my Mirena in, so this whole thing is going to be a little confusing at first trying to track my cycle. Fingers crossed! Here's hoping!
Hi there everyone, I have posted on this board before, when I was getting excited about the prospect of ttgp, and now, we are officially bc-free So, I am going to do this again, just so people are more familiar with who I am. I am B and 33, my husband is J and 29. We are in the PNW and love it here. We have a black lab and a black cat. Bowie and Sirius. We are nerds who roleplay (think Dungeons and Dragons). If we do graduate from this group he will be a stay-at-home Dad and I will be a working mom. I really love my job. I work with Baboons and OB/GYNs! Sorry. I just love telling people that. Anyway, good luck to everyone, and I can't wait to get to know you. ~B~
TTC again since 8/2016 Me:35 Dh:31 1 German sheperd puppy BFP August 24 2018!
Hi all! I'm 28 and DH is 29. I am a Language Arts teacher and he is an engineer, and we have been happily married for nearly 4 years now, although we have been in each other's lives since we were 14 years old.
I actually first joined this site in early 2015 when first TTC. I've lurked intermittently since then but have not until now felt compelled to start participating/looking for some support. Over the last year and a half of TTC we have gone through quite a bit- including health complications, rapid weight gain that arose when I went off BCP, and a diagnosis of PCOS. I have since made getting healthy a big priority and am slowly but surely taking back control of my body, so to speak. I am currently beginning my second round of Clomid and keeping my fingers crossed that we have some luck this month!
I never realized what a whirlwind of emotions this process would be, but am happy to be here and look forward to getting a little more accustomed to the community (especially all of the abbreviations lol) and am excited to hopefully get to connect with some of you!
Hello everyone, I never thought I would be back on a baby forum again. Lol I am 3 weeks shy of my 30th birthday, I have 2 kids(almost 9 and 6) and I have told myself for years now that I was done, although the hubby has wanted another for a while now. Well, I literally woke up the other day and said, "Ok, let's have another...now!" I think was husband thought I was crazy! So, after being on BCP for 6 years I will not start my new pack this Saturday and we will see what happens! I don't know if I even remember how to change a diaper! Lol I look forward to chatting with and hearing everyone's story! If anyone else is TTC or had a baby after their kids were older and wants to chat, let me know!
Hi all! I'm an old member from 2011. This community was such a lifesaver as I discovered I had PCOS and started my TTC journey. We GP within a couple months and had our first little (big 10 pounder) boy Oliver in April 2012. Then Rain Elizabeth 'surprised' us when we found out we were pregnant 2 years later. Now Oliver is 4 and Rain is 1.5. I'm still nursing Rain and am dealing with some wonky cycles because of it. My husband and I are going back and forth on trying for a third. I'm emotional, he's a realist... so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for having me back!

Hi! I've been lurking for several weeks but decided to take the plunge and join. My DH and I started TTC in June. I started temping about halfway through my cycle thanks to you ladies here.
My first cycle off BCP was only 26 days with ovulation on day 20 so only a six-day luteal phase. (I even got my hopes up thinking it was implantation bleeding until AF came in full force... I need to stop SS!) I'm hoping this was just a fluke associated with coming off BCP, though my endometriosis diagnosis a few years ago led my gyno to tell me to anticipate trouble conceiving. Hence the gung-ho temping in cycle 1.
Hey everyone, I joined back in 2013 when I got pregnant with my dd who will be 2 July 25th. I found the forums really helpful and encouraging when I didn't have many pregnant people to talk with. My husband and I have been together for 8 years in August married for 3 end of October, dd was our honeymoon baby.
In in my we had a chemical pregnancy, we hadn't been trying but we weren't preventing. We started talking in June about trying and for a month we were on and off about the idea, we officially decided we would start trying this month so we are on our first cycle!
We live in northern Canada near Algonquin park, we both love ring outdoors and are big nerds, we play video games and I'm crazy for Harry Potter. Our daughter was named after supergirl, our next baby if a boy will be named after supernatural and superman as if a girl will be named after Harry Potter character and men character lol.
I just started back to being a stay at home mom middle of May when we moved for my husbands job, it has been a big change but I'm excited to have a new baby in the home
Hi all new here I have been reading but finally decided it's time to join. So I'm 32yrs old & my DH 24yrs old. Trying since we meet. In 2014 been married a year and still nothing. We have been told we are both very Healthy. No problems with him great count and mobility. Me on the other hand pcos
Hello everyone, I'm new here! I just turned 28 on Friday and my husband is 28, too. We got married December, 5 2015. We just starting trying this month. I'm excited to have some guidance and support with this group!

Hey everyone! I'm 28, DH is 28 and we just started TTC our first. I had mirena removed on 6/30/16. We've been together 7 years and married for 1.5 years. DH would like if I can have all of our kids before 35, so we are starting now.
Hey everyone. I am jumping in on the board since we are officially ttc now! I am 30 years old and have been married to my husband for four wonderful years. We are so excited to start this journey together (hopefully it won't be a long one). I have lurked on this board on and off for over a year because I have been baby crazy for a while. I am really excited to talk to all you girls and go through this journey with you.
Hi everyone! I just figured I would introduce myself real quick! I'm 24 and my husband is 27. We've been married almost two years now. I got off BCP in May and have been TTC for baby #1 ever since. I know it may take a few cycles for my body to adjust so I'm trying to be patient haha I've been lurking for a while now and you ladies have been super helpful so far!
Hello! I'm 28 and DH is 30. We've been married for 5 years now. After a long time of thinking that we may not want children, we've decided to start TTC! Having Mirena removed September 2nd. Going to start charting now though since it is possible to continue to ovulate while on Mirena. So excited to have a community to turn to.
Hi all. I have a 1 year old son and we are now trying to conceive a second child. I was part of the boards a couple of years ago and am looking forward to joining in again! It's always better with friends and support!
I am a kindergarten teacher, 25 and my DH is 26 and travels for work every week. This is our first month TTC, been off BCP and I am trying to learn my cycles! This is our first child and I know it will probably take a while. I have endometriosis and have never had a regular cycle! Cant wait to join in!

Hello everyone! I am 26 and DH is 27, we have been married for 3 years and have a 15 month old son (I was on the April 15 board with him). After a month of not really preventing/not really trying we have decided to start TTC number two. My cycles are very strange and irregular since having my son so I am charting now and trying to re-learn my cycle. Been lurking for a bit and I am looking forward to getting to know you ladies and listening and learning

Hi! I'm 27, and in a same sex relationship (so doing IUI with donor in clinic). This will be our first kid, and second month of TTC, the first month I think I JUST missed my ovulation and went in too late after my positive OPK test. $600 mistake! I have pretty long and consistent cycles. My ovulation was really really late this month - just went in for my IUI today, so fingers crossed! My OPK was positive yesterday afternoon and last night, and super positive this morning too. Lots of EWCM and ovulation signs too, so I'm pretty hopeful. The IUI was much less painful this time, but still had some cramping after.

Hi everyone! I am 27, DH is 37. We have been TTC #1 since Sept 15. I have been lurking here & there since October, but would like to be more active on the boards. I am an accountant, DH is a supervisor. We've got 2 kitties and a puppy & I love them more than most humans.
A little about my history-
Diagnosed with PCOS in 2011. Diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2012. Total thyroidectomy in 2012. Radioactive iodine treatment in 2012. Diagnosed with severe anemia in 2012. (2012 was a little rough). LEEP procedure in 2014 for high grade cervical dysplasia - clean paps since (WOOP!!) Diagnosed in 2016 with a friable cervix from LEEP.
I have had testing from the OB- all clear that they can see. DH had a sperm analysis & results were close to perfect. So... now we are waiting... patiently... (not my strongest suite).
Hi Ya'll - I'm jumping in...I'm turning *gasp* 38 this year. No idea how that happened! And DH is turning 40, we have a 11 yr old DD and *TW* have had 4 MC over the past 11 years. We are now actively TTC with my Docs approval I had a lot of health issues, and am now in a really healthy place.
We are starting clomid this cycle and I'm trying not to freak out about it too much. I have PCOS tendencies but no official diagnosis. But have had 3 natural periods in a row so this is a very good thing.
DD was a honeymoon baby so I had no idea that getting and staying pregnant would be hard for me, though I feel alot of my health issues played a part.
I homeschool DD and am a Travel Agent, DH is a full time student (dont get me started, so frustrating) and works full time.
Hello All, I have been looking around here for awhile. I just turned 30 and my fiancé is 31. I came off BC in February 2016 after being on it for 15 years. We have been TTC since May 2016. I work for a health care company and my fiancé is a police officer with a crazy schedule. I had 3 very large fibroids in 2012 and hoping this will not be an issue while TTC. I have had clear check ups since having surgery. I am very new to the process and trying to learn when I am ovulating and everything. Happy to have somewhere to have some support when felling alone with everything.
Hi everyone! I'm 31 and DH is 30. We've just started TTC last week although I know we've missed our window this time around. My cycles have always been irregular and long so I hope this doesn't cause us too many problems along the way. My OBGYN did some bloodwork a few months ago and everything came back normal. She seems to think I won't have problems, but obviously you never know until you start trying. I temped for one cycle back in April and according to the chart I ovulated so that's a good sign. I plan on temping again as soon as AF comes and goes.
I'm going to an acupuncturist this week with hopes of regulating my cycle somewhat and hopefully to decrease my stress. I think way too much about this and I think that's part of the reason why my cycles have been so irregular lately.
Hi everyone! I'm returning to this board after a looooong time away. I was last here in 2010, so it's been a while! I feel like I have to relearn everything! I am 35 and DH is 40, we have a 5yo DS, and 1 dog and 2 cats. We are now TTC #2. We just started (cycle 1), and I'm really curious how things will go this time since we are a bit older. The first time around it happened relatively quickly (within 2 tracked cycles), but I am prepared for things to take a bit longer this time, possibly.
I have just started charting, temping again. I used OPKs last time and may do that again this time as well, although I haven't started those yet. Anyway, I'm really happy to be here again and looking forward to getting to know everyone!
I've been lurking for a bit and decided to do an intro. I've been on TB before, in March 2014 when pregnant with my son. We are TTC #2 and have been trying off and on since January. Skipped a month as DD would have been close to 12/25 and that was not preferable to us. We were trying "for fun" but recently got serious about it. The TWW is new to me because I did not experience it with my first pregnancy. It is hard. I am staying positive and hoping this board will help me laugh a little more during all the waiting. I do feel like I'm always waiting. WTO, TWW, waiting for AF to fininsh so I can WTO. *eye roll* I'm looking forward to getting to know other members! Heading off to the TWW thread now.
P.S. - just changed my username to update with something more fitting. Not sure if it's in effect now or not. I was lindsey1031 and changing to Breesy14, in case anyone is thinking, "hey, I know her. Wait, that's not her name"
I've been lurking and decided to join in. I'm 30, DH is 28. We have 1 daughter (born September 2012) and two dogs who think they are humans. I'm a nurse, a Netflix addict, and I love interior design. I'm anxious, but excited to be here and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
Future April 17 Hopeful!!! So excited to be here! DH and I are ttc #2. We are HS sweethearts together almost 12yrs! I was active on my 2yr old DD's board April14 and told myself I would join ttc board next time... It was soo helpful getting advice from other ladies especially those with experience. So here we are! I'm hoping history repeats itself as DD was conceived during a "practice round" as I call it by checking CM a week before our wedding and seeing what happened. Got our BFP the day we returned from our honeymoon. (I mistook implantation bleeding as my period in all the excitement of the wedding so it was a big surprise)! Stopped BC and started vitamins three months ago so this is the first cycle ttc so let the 2ww begin!!
@erinh2005 the user name has to be changed by logging into theknot.com (using your thebump.com info). in the my account section, you can change it. I did it on my phone, but on the web version because I don't have theknot app.
Wasn't quite sure where to Intro *TW loss mentioned*
I'm 26, DH 33. We have been married 2 years, together 6+. DH is in a stable career for 8 years now, but I went back to school for my masters degree and took a part time administrative job at a hospital last year. I am also an intern for the executive office at the city I live in. I graduate next April. We have talked about the "right time" for 3 years now, since we were engaged, and have finally settled on a "good" time rather than perfect. I am wrapping up my last week of birth control after having been on it for 7 years. I haven't ovulated since I was a teenager and my only experience with pregnancy was an unplanned chemical pregnancy in 2008, so this is a whole new world for me. Kinda nerdy but I'm looking forward to just letting my body do its own thing!

Hi! I'm 32 and DH is 37. We live in the Midwest and have a 10 year old Maltese who is my shadow. We've been married almost 2 years and will be starting TTC next month. We tried for one month in January but I decided I wasn't ready and needed another Mexican vacation before we tried again. We're almost out of the 8 week Zika waiting period and I'm feeling much more excited / ready to start!
I've been lurking the boards quite a bit and I'm excited to have lots of support from great people who are in the same boat!
@lacroixliz Welcome! I also have a Maltese. She's a year and a half but I totally understand having a shadow dog. I told DH that I already can't go to the bathroom alone so might as well have a kid join the audience.

Hence the gung-ho temping in cycle 1.
Wishing all of you so much luck!
I just started back to being a stay at home mom middle of May when we moved for my husbands job, it has been a big change but I'm excited to have a new baby in the home
i wish everyone lots of luck!!

I have been looking around here for awhile.
I'm going to an acupuncturist this week with hopes of regulating my cycle somewhat and hopefully to decrease my stress. I think way too much about this and I think that's part of the reason why my cycles have been so irregular lately.
Looking forward to being part of this community.
