@Kimmy717 Thanks I would've never thought of that!
@PSUBecky23 I was hoping you'd have a crunchy mom remedy! I'm not crunchy normally but all the OTC options for it have 'warning if pregnant' stuff on them. I'll try the apple cider vinegar soak and then look into Kim's YI cream idea.
@AnnaS930 we just got sonic here maybe 2 years ago? The snow in western NY is insane.
@Megan324 What do you think of Sonic? DH and I have tried to get into their shakes but I still go back to Abbott's all the time it just can't compare for me!
PS Did you hear we're getting a Carter's store here!? This summer! I can't wait to hit the deals up that everyone was talking about in the winter/spring.

Not to bra or anything, but Sonic was started here in Oklahoma...I know, huge deal. Their shakes are not good at all, but I love their unhealthy, horrible for you options like cheddar bites and foot long chili cheese coneys. So good! And so bad.
I've only gone to Sonic a handful of times, but I always get tots/cheesey-tots when available and a slushie.. usually one with Nerds or other candy in it. Have I mentioned I have a sweet tooth?? hahaha
@Megan324 Wait what!? We have one in Pittsford?! I seriously thought our closest was Buffalo or Cuse! I was all excited when I heard we'd be getting one in Henrietta this summer. I feel like i've lost out on so much the last few months.....then again, I'm sure it helped my bank account out. Is it a big one or more boutique-y size?
We have a sonic maybe a 1/4 mile from our house, which was exciting at first. I love their Grape Cream Slushes! One more than one occasion though, DH has stopped to get ice cream and the drive-thru has been closed (I'm not a fan of waiting for the carhops, especially when we're getting it to go instead of staying there) AND they've been out of ice cream. Out of ice cream? In the summer? In Texas? Top it off with horrid customer service and I'm sworn off this location. When the first location in our area in MN opened though, they closed down roads because it was so busy. We didn't go for a few months after it opened because it was so popular.
@LakeR2014 it's mid size! I think the one in south town is going to be big! It's definitely not helped my bank account when I found it haha. I'm officially banned from.buying more baby clothes until my showers haha
No Sonics near here, even though they constantly advertise them on TV. So I've never been there.
@JennM205 Not crazy about the clothes! I've already gone through DD's old stuff, and it'd be hanging if we didn't have to redo the closet. I'm going to hang off on washing until August probably, but that's more because I don't want to do the extra laundry any sooner than I have to. Lol.
@UnwritteN12 Hope they can figure out what is causing your pain, and that's it's minor (and goes away soon)!
Before DD and I went to Lowe's, we stopped at Kroger to get my prescription filled. While we waited the 15 minutes they were filling it, I got a 1/4 sheet cake of chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing. It looked so good, I couldn't resist! SIL is coming over tonight, and I'm sending part (half) of it home with her because we do not need the whole thing. Debating if I should wait until DH is home to have a peice...
@PoodleDoodleOoo@KimmySchmidt I like Sonic, but rather definitely not in my top 5. Now if you said that about Taco Bueno...well...I would politely disagree with you.

When I read the bolded line, I really thought you sat by the pharmacy waiting for your prescription and eating your chocolate cake. I was cracking up (I've seen far stranger things during my retail pharmacy days at Rite Aid), and the image of a pregnant woman with a toddler, sitting down with a chocolate cake because you have to wait 15 minutes really brightened my day! Wish that was the case!
Showed up to the lab 20 minutes before they go on lunch and will be closed for an hour. The guy is giving me the glucola now and will be drawing the blood as soon as they get back from lunch. Not super excited about this but I did bring a straw jut in case. Wish me luck!
Random: I just signed a card for my cousins with all of our names, including this baby. First time I've gotten to do that, loved it and I'm more in love with her name
I hear you guys... I can't believe it's mid-June. We had DS' 2nd birthday party this weekend (can't believe he's 2 ) and it was Cookie Monster themed. I had to AW these cupcakes I made... his face lit up as soon as he saw them!
@camichael84 chocolate overload! Yummy! There is a small bakery nearby our house that sells a 1/8 sheet marble cake with Bavarian cream icing and chocolate chips and chocolate shavings. It's to die for. As far as waiting until later to have a piece...don't do it! Tell him the baby needed it...
@RedMar- Those are totally adorable! And getting a little chocolate chip cookie WITH a cupcake.. score! I'm already thinking about what the theme of Emmett's 2nd birthday will be and it's 6 months away. It will fall shortly after I return from maternity leave and don't want to drop the ball because of baby #2. He's somewhat into Sesame Street, but moreso into Bubbleguppies.. Will wait a few months to nail down the theme to see his current interests.. might even have it at our local indoor toddler gym so I don't have any cleanup after!
I am just totally not feeling like working today, and I have a ton to do tomorrow, out in the heat, so I think today will be spent lurking the June and maybe July arrivals board.
@RedMar those cupcakes look awesome! DS is really into Sesame Street and lately has taken to saying "cookie" when he's eating and then stuffs his food in his mouth and goes "nom nom nom!" It's ridiculously adorable.
DH and I went and saw Paul Simon in concert Saturday night, it was so awesome! On a funny note, the older lady in the seat next to me had been drinking heavily and ended up stealing my water to use as a mixer for her drink. I was sitting there going...it's 90+ and humid and you just stole the pregnant lady's water?! But funny though, because I think she was far enough gone she didn't realize it wasn't hers.
Hmm Munchkin Arm & Hammer diaper pail or Dekor Plus? Or any other suggestions. I like that Dekor Plus takes regular garbage bags...seems like the Munchkin will end up costing way more since you need the Arm & Hammer inserts AND the bag refills
Still feeling this baby mostly very low with an occasional movement in the belly button area. To me, that means baby is still transverse or possibly breach. (He/she was transverse at my a/s.) I know there's still tons of time to turn head down but I'm irrationally nervous that won't happen.
Maybe I should save this for Thursday, but Sonic is so overrated.
yeah. im glad im not the only one. we had one here and i think it lasted maybe 6 months, before they closed it down. I just cant. AND i think their commercials really put the nail in the coffin for me, i cant stand those two guys...
@RedMar i LOVE those cookie monster cupcakes, how cute. We have two little stuffed C.M.s one has a cookie on a string, pull it and it plays music. the other is just a little stuffed animal. We love CM

Meeeeee too!!! Same thing with DD1 though, she finally turned like 2 weeks before delivery. I hope this one turns earlier!!

I actually love the Sonic guys on the commercials. We don't watch a lot of commercials since we DVR everything, so I'm sure they'd get old, but they always crack me up the first few times I see them. "she had a certain je ne sais quoi.." "Jenna said what?!" hahahahaha
I just wasted an hour of my time at the doctors office. When it starts out with the nurse being so very obviously non-observant ("Are you still pregnant?".....seriously??? I'm as big as a freaking house! But I just said yes instead of commenting on how stupid I thought she was because, ya know, DH had to play devil's advocate with "She probably has to ask that".) you just know things aren't going to go well. The pain that feels like my insides are going to bust out is what this doctor (that I've never seen before and won't see again) thinks of as muscle pain. Really? In one particular spot? I get that that's what it could be. But one would think that, if that's the case, I might be sore everywhere, not just in one spot. And I told her this. So she asks me to lay down. DH had to help me lay down because it was so painful. "Oh, it's really that painful?" No lady, I'm just say "G*d damnit!" out loud and squeezing my eyes shut in pain for the fun of it! So, after pressing all over my stomach ("Well, I'm pressing quite hard and it's not painful when I do that, so...." Yep, I got that. I can feel you pressing "quite hard" and the baby doesn't like it and I already told you that it wasn't going to hurt when you applied pressure.) and listening to my lungs, apparently I have pneumonia in my left lung. Honestly, I feel like she essentially said that I'm overreacting and don't know what I'm talking about. I'm really just at my wits end. I'm in pain, I'm annoyed and I'm tired. Three things that don't go together at all.

sad thing, i dont even watch live tv hardly ever. if i do its news/local because i dont have cable. but those guys mannnnn.
@UnwritteN12 that's all they did?! Nothing else? None of whatever you do to check your appendix? What a freaking waste. I'm sorry you left without feeling like you had an answer. What are you going to do now?
I'm really annoyed with my male co worker who constantly feels the need to make a pregnancy joke about everything I do. Here are just a handful of many examples. Last week, I had propped up my monitors so I could stand and work because my back was bothering me. He walks by and says "Uh oh. Soon your feet will be swollen and you won't be able to do that either." Then today, he had a comment about everything I was eating. I made a burrito for lunch, was minding my own business and eating. Of course, he walks by and says "you'd think that with the heartburn from being pregnant you wouldn't be able to eat that". Then I was having my snack later and he walks by again and says "ooh ice cream now, must be the cravings" I said "actually it's Greek yogurt and granola". JUST SHUT UP GUY! LEAVE ME ALONE. He thinks he's absolutely hilarious. So annoying.
