Ya'll I just went a little nuts on target.com and destination maternity.com buying maternity clothes! Everything is on super sale if you need anything, I figure I'll return about half of what I bought since it's online *hope*hope*hope.
@createillumination I thought I was done buying maternity clothes, but I just had to buy some on Friday because I outgrew all my shorts!

@createilluminationI got them at Target, so pretty cheap. I do have a pair of yoga pants that still fits, but it's too warm for pants this time of year in Florida!

I'm thinking of making a subtle Facebook pregnancy announcement. Possibly a photo of the books I plan to read this summer (pregnancy & baby books) and mentioning that while I hope the summer doesn't fly by, I'm also looking forward to the fall equinox when I get to meet my baby girl. It's making me feel so nervous though! Did anyone else feel nervous sharing on fb for the first time? Is it a little silly to post something on Facebook when so many people already know? Maybe I should just post a photo from my shower in a couple of weeks and let that speak for itself...
@BernieRae I'm right there with ya, I got off facebook partly because I didn't want to do a big announcement, and I wanted my pregnancy to be private, especially in the first 20weeks. But I'm sure people will love to see your announcement and will support you if you do! I bet there are lots of people far away who might want to know Either way just do what makes your heart sing and smile.
I was just looking back at how and when other people I know announced. My stepsister posted "hey, guys. I'm pregnant." which was awesome, but that was at 12 weeks.
@BernieRae - for our first, we put an ultrasound pic up at 13-ish weeks (after NT scan) and just announced that way. This time, I waited until after our Level II ultrasound and I made a collage of three pics - my daughter reading her "Big Sister" book and the two ultrasound pictures and I said "Emmy has been reading up on her new role and is excited to announce she's going to be a big sister in August. She's so lucky, she gets a baby brother AND a baby sister!" By 20 weeks, a lot of people already knew, but some people were surprised. And the people who knew loved seeing it anyway and made comments like "I've been waiting for this" etc. It's such a big deal! If you want to announce on Facebook, go for it!!

7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
I never made a pregnancy announcement on FB, just a birth announcement. I know we shocked some people, but I was okay with only my nearest and dearest knowing about my pregnancy - I liked keeping it private.

I posted an u/s photo at 12.5 weeks after getting the MaterniT21 results. I had two losses before this and was over the moon to finally tell the world after keeping TTC and the losses quiet for over a year. It was exhilarating to click "post" and watch the likes and comments pour in.

I think your idea sounds cute! I think if you want to do it, you should! I always hesitate to announce things in FB and totally think and rethink everything...but then it's fun in the end. Let us know what you decide!
@BernieRae - I didn't want to do a fb announcement, but I didn't want someone posting a picture of me or something random being said by someone, and then having to reply to all the reactions.. so I thought I was going to post something sweet and short, but then my DH made me rewrite the announcement with him, so it had meaning.. Click the spoiler to read it.. We made this a longer response as I wanted to share our experiences in reaching out to others I know that have experienced loss, infertility, and even those that waited for so long to have children.
“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
Over 6 years, 2200 days, or 3 million minutes of trying without success. Although we have known the struggle of infertility and loss, we are now sharing some good news with those we love and know.
We have tried many different methods, but in the end we were successful. Using in vitro fertilization (IVF) and a frozen embryo transfer (FET), we are growing our family by one. This journey wasn’t easy, as we were faced with many trips back and forth to specialists (like Dr. Steingold), and many hours of poking and prodding. Kyle and I both became experts with a needle and sharps container. The ups and downs of this journey left us sometimes feeling hopeful and sometimes feeling lost.
With this most recent attempt, we transferred two 5-day embryos. Although early indications suggested twins, we experienced a loss very early in the pregnancy at six weeks. The day started out as a normal work day for me, but at lunch, I experienced symptoms that I knew were not normal. My department colleagues were there to help me reach Kyle and the doctor’s office, while keeping me as calm as they could. I appreciate everything they did for me that day. Kyle was able to pick me up quickly and as we drove in a haze of unknown, we battled through hail, rain, and snow. When we got nearer to our emergency appointment, the weather shifted and made way for blue skies and a rainbow. The time it took from when we arrived to when we had our ultrasound seemed like an eternity. The nurses tried their best to reassure us of the possibility of hope. Hope prevailed. There was a beautiful flickering heart on the screen and we knew instantly that we still had one. Our rainbow baby. Our hearts go out to anyone else who has experienced a loss, no matter when it happened.
Kyle and I are excited to grow our family by one little boy who is healthy and active (ninja hands and all). We will henceforth be known as ‘mom’ (Kyle says ‘mum’) and ‘dad’ in early October.
I love it, @piperella. And perhaps it will give hope to friends you don't even know are struggling to conceive or have had losses.

Thanks for sharing your shares @Piperella that was very brave to put your story out there and was very touching. I think I'll just share when there's a photo or something to share that even those who already know might like to see. When it feels right.
@BernieRae, I think you are exactly right about doing it when it feels right to you. One tip, you may want to disable the ability for others to write on your wall/timeline and make sure tagged pictures of you have to be reviewed by you first. This will ensure no one "leaks" the info to others who you may not of told and/or are friends of friends.
Thanks, @Piperella. We both did that a while back. There's no way I could find to control comments on our posts though. A while back, one of DH's friends commented "when is baby arriving?" on a non baby related picture he posted. I happened to see it right away and DH deleted it. At that point there were still people in our lives we hadn't told yet so I cared. I don't care as much now about controlling what other people put out there. My control lies in deciding to engage in Facebook at all and what I personally choose to share.
Gotcha. I didn't post things for quite awhile before I had sent out our announcements to family and close friends. I was worried about people putting messages on posts that had nothing to do with the baby. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with fb.
My mail carrier (a woman) told me I look "tiny" for expecting twins in August after I waddled to the door to sign for a package. I almost kissed her on the lips.
