So excited and cautiously optimistic! 8 Days past IVF transfer. Positive test 4 days after transfer. Set for beta tomorrow. All sorts of sleepy and throwing up my dinner. Even excited about that since I wasnt sick at all with my 2 miscarriages. Due day 8/27 but they warned me I would likely be induced early because of my age (way older mom to be).

RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
― Carl Sagan
Over 6 years, 2200 days, or 3 million minutes of trying without success. Although we have known the struggle of infertility and loss, we are now sharing some good news with those we love and know.
We have tried many different methods, but in the end we were successful. Using in vitro fertilization (IVF) and a frozen embryo transfer (FET), we are growing our family by one. This journey wasn’t easy, as we were faced with many trips back and forth to specialists (like Dr. Steingold), and many hours of poking and prodding. Kyle and I both became experts with a needle and sharps container. The ups and downs of this journey left us sometimes feeling hopeful and sometimes feeling lost.
With this most recent attempt, we transferred two 5-day embryos. Although early indications suggested twins, we experienced a loss very early in the pregnancy at six weeks. The day started out as a normal work day for me, but at lunch, I experienced symptoms that I knew were not normal. My department colleagues were there to help me reach Kyle and the doctor’s office, while keeping me as calm as they could. I appreciate everything they did for me that day. Kyle was able to pick me up quickly and as we drove in a haze of unknown, we battled through hail, rain, and snow. When we got nearer to our emergency appointment, the weather shifted and made way for blue skies and a rainbow. The time it took from when we arrived to when we had our ultrasound seemed like an eternity. The nurses tried their best to reassure us of the possibility of hope. Hope prevailed. There was a beautiful flickering heart on the screen and we knew instantly that we still had one. Our rainbow baby. Our hearts go out to anyone else who has experienced a loss, no matter when it happened.
Kyle and I are excited to grow our family by one little boy who is healthy and active (ninja hands and all). We will henceforth be known as ‘mom’ (Kyle says ‘mum’) and ‘dad’ in early October.

I think I'll just share when there's a photo or something to share that even those who already know might like to see. When it feels right.
