  • @notsoblissylissy I've been on 40mg for about two months now... I can't imagine how terrible it would be without it. I think I'm going to have to dig out my wedge pillow.

I'm having this weird hot flash/loss of breath/ pounding heart moments. It's a combo of the three things that only lasts a few seconds... I think they're just my guy rolling around and landing on the wrong spot but they freak me out.
That sounds like the beginning of a panic attack. I'm sure it's what you said, but in case I always find it helpful to sit and take a few deep breaths with my eyes closed. It helps me calm down and regain a sense of balance.

  • So my crotch has been hurting when I wake up for months now, but this morning it is the worst!! I seriously can barely move, and that's only when holding my vagina and hunching over. The weird thing is that the baby only punches the heck out my those muscles at night because during the day, everything is completely fine. We'll see how walking like a creeper works out for me today as I walk into work... I'm a high school teacher. Lol

Caught a bad cough from my kids who've had it for a few weeks. The cough itself isn't bothering me so much but whenever I have a coughing fit it makes me pelvic bone click a lot *OUCH* and also tightens up downstairs and makes it super painful. Getting a bit worried it could set something off if my body is tensing up so much down there, I don't even know if that's a possibility but I'd still rather not be so uncomfortable and worried. Anyone else experienced anything similar?
  • @pandaferh - I get that feeling too sometimes. Usually it's at work and first thing in the morning when I'm most dehydrated, but it happens at other times occasionally too. Someone mentioned to me that my pants might be too tight and compressing veins? I'm not sure if that's the case or not, but a cool cloth on the back of my neck makes the feeling pass. I mentioned it to my doctor at my last appointment and she said it sounded like vasovagal syncope (or close to it) in my case.

  • @pandaferh yeah that's happened to me a few times too. I thought it had something to do with my asthma but my heart beating really fast kinda scared me. Whats really weird is it'll happen even if I'm just laying down.
  • Do really intense sneezes count as a symptom? I feel like I have to brace myself when I feel one coming on. Not because they make me pee (yet) but it feels like a lot of pressure in my stomach.
  • Full on peed my pants last night after a huge sneeze. Like, bad enough to have to clean up the chair I was sitting in. Oops.
  • I have a dumb question. How do you know if you've leaked urine or if it's just watery discharge? I've been thinking this whole time that it's discharge but now I'm questioning it. I've tried smelling it but that didn't really help me.

Color? Smell? I'm not sure...  :s

I had the same dumb question this week, I just wore liners and it seems to be a bit of both. Considering that baby squishes my bladder at will, it's not surprising that some of it leaks out a bit.   But an increase in discharge is also normal at this point. Basically pregnancy creates so many bodily fluids and is gross.

  • Is red blotchy feet a pregnancy thing? They're not swollen or anything but they do feel way warmer then the rest of my body.
  • @schaze girl I'm with you totally full on peed my pants yesterday

I feel so bloaty and uncomfortable tonight, like I have gas but nothing's happening.
  • I am dealing with my first ever sinus infection and it sucks. My face literally hurts. This paired with cankles and carpel tunnel makes for a wild Friday night at home.
  • Allergies!! Now I have itchy eyes and a bloody nose again. My husband, my cankles and I are watching scandal and staying in tonight too!

How have you made it to this point in your life and never experienced the agony that are sinus infections ?! I'm jealous. Heal up quickly !

I'm not trusting my body that it's just a fart at this point, being over cautious
  • @DarkCat oh no! I have come awfully close a couple times, not going to lie.
This shortness of breath thing really sucks. Baby girl loves to snuggle in my rib cage and it makes it so hard to breathe!
  • I'm still not moving!! It just feels so good to not be in pain. My bed is amazing.

I'm having trouble with pooping...as in too much. Tmi but I've been living on the toilet and my stomach just hurts. It's gotten better so I'm thinking it's something I ate.

  • The crying. Jesus, the crying. Once I start, I'm a goner.
  • @shanparadise ugh yes, it is so frustrating. I cry about the dumbest shit and that just makes me more upset that I'm crying about something so silly.
  • Welllllll. I just threw up what I'm assuming was a bunch of stomach acid all over myself and my couch thanks to heartburn. So there's that.
  • @stellaluna14 I'm not normally a crier unless I'm super angry but just about anything makes me cry now. Today I cried because my husband didn't say bye before he left for work because I was sleeping. WTF?
  • @jjtruffles I wake up choking on stomach acid quite often. Man that stuff burns. Are you taking anything for it? Omeprazole and Zantac keep me from having issues during the day.
  • @shanparadise I haven't been taking anything for it. So far I've been pretty lucky and have only had occasional (uncomfortable but tolerable) heartburn; it hasn't been a daily thing for me. I'm hoping last night was just a fluke thing and not a glimpse at what the next 9 weeks are going to be like because man, that was not fun! I feel for anyone who's been dealing with this their entire pregnancy!
  • @shanparadise have you tried elevating somewhat with a few extra pillows ? That has helped my acid reflux a ton!

  • @Backbypopulardemand I broke out my wedge pillow that was designed for reflux a couple nights ago. It helps a ton, but it's a trade off for the neck pain it causes. As my mom says, these kids owe me a ton of trips to the nursing home for what I put up with for them haha.

I get this pain that starts in my upper middle abdomen (think right in the middle of boobs, but down a little bit) and works it way to my back. When it is at its peak, I can't take deep breaths and feel like someone is taking a knife and twisting it in my back. I ended up in the ER over the weekend for it. Doc gave me a muscle relaxer, but it doesn't seem to help. I've tried hot showers, Tylenol, Pepcid, Gas-x, stretching, massage, and now muscle relaxers. Any suggestions?

  • @bsher84 I haven't felt this myself, but if it is related to baby pushing on certain areas you could try a heating pad somewhere else on your bump and cold on the pain (to get baby to move toward the warmth).
  • @bsher84 This happens to me every time I have to drive somewhere. I'm figuring something is getting a lot of pressure and causing pain and shortness of breath when I sit back in a chair. It helps if I take off anything constricting the area (like a bra or if I'm wearing a tank with those "built in bras" with the elastic under the boobs). I also realize that if I eat something and try and drive it's 1000 times worse. Do you sit a lot at your job? I sit but at the edge of my seat, leaning my belly forward so baby has a lot of room. After I drive I have to stand/walk for a good 15-30 minutes to make the pain go away. I have a short torso and have learned how to "belly breathe" to help with the pressure against my diaphragm. Doing cat/cow exercises either on all 4s or an adjusted seated position helps a ton too. Just a few ideas for you!
