I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!! I'm seriously crying, I'm laughing so hard at these!!! I saw a post on Facebook this morning and H and I spent easily a half hour texting them back and forth.... The gopher one was gross though, yet still funny. Tunneling Ballsack..... pahahahaha!!!!
I'm full of whining today (and wishing it was wine!) I bought 4 paint samples at Lowes today, and I hate all of them! Pinterest colors let me down!!! I'm glad it was only samples, but it was still a waste of time and money!
What color are you going for?
Pink and gray, the pillow is the same fabric that I just recovered my glider in. The gray paint is too dark and I'm just not sure of those pinks.

You could do an accent wall with the grey like horizontal stripes or one grey stripe on the too of the wall closest to the ceiling. I like the grey and pink all the way to the right best for that pairing. Good luck. Love the pattern of material.

I'm obsessed with the material. I was planning on grey for 3 walls and pink for one. I may try to have the store match the lighter grey in the pillow.
I read this as one more unhealthy habit I can blame my mother for while hoping my daughter doesn't grow up and do the same.
I'm not sure how much I believe this. If you're more active during pregnancy, you're more likely to put fitness higher on your list and therefore ensure your kids get out to move around more. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself to make me not feel so bad about my lack of motivation to get off the couch.
Yeah, i think it's crap. My aunt ran marathons while pregnant and her kids aren't very active. My mom and my H's mom were never runners/athletes and both H and I are runners.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
Just finished lurking through April's thread about what they're doing to pass the time until baby comes. AFTER I lurked through their birth announcements which unfortunately is a pinned post and not individuals. BOO.
Can't wait to commiserate with you all in June as we trudge through those last few weeks while we're sitting on our couches, eating tots and willing our babies to GTFO.

I like the pink all the way to the right but I hear you on paint colors being hard.

Gray is a tough one. I did my own bedroom in gray recently with a white accent wall and I was really nervous about going too dark with it. Then once it was done I was like, does this even read as gray? Is it just white?? It feels like a plain white room except where you can specifically see the contrast with the white trim and the white wall.
I love that fabric...I would maybe go a smidge darker than the lighter shade on that.
So I know we had a thread approximately forever ago that talked about what to put in your hospital bag... but my little brain is having a hard time understanding how I'm supposed to pack that thing. I mean, I need my phone charger because I don't think 68% battery will last two more months. Comfy clothes for after delivery? I wear those daily because I'm already uncomfortable. Toothbrush and toothpaste? I guess I could just use mouthwash until June.
Why can't I figure this out? Do I use this as an excuse to go buy back up set of everything? I won't say no to an excuse to go shopping, but just wanted to figure out how this is supposed to be done.
Also, @GinnyJ2012 - I like the far right pink the best with that pillow.
Maybe just buy travel sizes of things you use daily: toothbrush/paste, shampoo, etc. and a cheap $5 phone cord that will probably break after the second time you use it and an extra pair of comfy PJs or whatever you want to come home in. I'd say that's what I'm doing but I haven't done anything so.... that's what I'll probably do.

I use travel size for things like toothpaste. I just keep a list on top of my bag of things that I don't have a duplicate of so I can quickly grab them later.

@ahernandez16 That Melissa McCarthy/Jimmy Fallon Lip Synch was hysterical! I love them both so much! Jimmy Fallon is my celebrity crush! Also, I'm a huge old country fan and was so sad to see Merle Haggard died!
@mommarich- I just bought travel sized stuff and am planning to pack at least part of my bag sometime in the next week. I'll also keep a list in there with the other things I need (like PJs, makeup, hair dryer/straightener, my pillow, etc) to put in before we actually leave for the hospital.
Sooooooo... It's snowing like crazy here even though its APRIL and the roads are jam packed. DH and I were coming up a turning lane since it was empty and we were turning right and some people decided to be nice and let someone in a van coming from the other direction through to turn left into the same place we were going. Only problem with that is that person can't see who's coming up the turning lane until they're already in it. DH slammed on the brakes and we went sliding straight toward this stupid van and he pulled some fast and furious e-brake move and we missed them by inches. We would have hit right on my side. Probably not enough to injure us but the car would have definitely been very damaged. This was about an hour ago and I think the adrenaline is still going strong! I'm glad DH was driving cause I probably would have panicked and just thrown my hands up and let Jesus take the wheel! lol.
Lol ladies, you can't let what people say on the internet bother you too much! Don't read my diaper pail posts if you're too frustrated by it
I'm so glad you don't let what people say on the internet bother you too much ... and yet you poll people on the internet for their random opinions on random things all the time. How does that work again?
I'm just loving your Dean gif! I love me some Supernatural!
Ohmahgerd I'm finalllllly caught up - 384 posts!!! I just got back from my babymoon, we went to a B&B for a couple nights, and now I desperately want a memory foam mattress. My mattress is sinking in the middle and it's only 6 years old- maybe it's because it's a spring mattress and they don't hold up very well?? If anyone has an awesome mattress I'd love to hear about it.
Also, I know this is super late but @huskerfan2012 I'm glad you're still cooking :-)
As for the nesting. it's kicking in. I've finally got all my baby clothes, diapers, wipes, blankets organized nicely in Lo's closet. But, my furniture is still tucked away in my basement. I've given myself up to 36 weeks to be completely done.
We have a sleep number. Yes it can be expensive, but it's well made.
I love my sleep number!!! It's worth it for zero aches and pains. Plus when we got it we had a coupon from a friend for $1000 off so that totally helped. I love being able to increase the firmness for my big old belly weight too.
Stuck! Yes, it totally is worth it to be able to adjust the head part and feet part!
I just plucked some long, dark hairs from my stomach. I'm gonna go ahead & file that under "shit I never thought I'd say." Oh, pregnancy. What a wonderful, magical time...
@candicek15 I was in your neck of the woods today - I think. I drove home from the General after my appointment and took a super long way home to avoid the queens way. People have obviously taken their winter tires off. It was madness out there! Glad you're ok!!!!

Look on your boobs too. You may find a few there as well! Isn't pregnancy glorious
@crdo your post and gif seriously made me snort just now lol.
So last night was my first night of birthing and parenting classes. My ex insisted on going still. It was awkward but I managed. After he wanted to grab some food. I'm trying to be civil, and he seems to have accepted the fact that we are not together and never will be again, so I said ok. We really didn't talk the whole time but he actually stood a menu up on the table to hide his phone that kept going off. Lol. It was all I could do to not bust out laughing. I don't know why he acts so childish but at least it was some what entertaining.
I also had an interview yesterday for a great job as an ABA Therapist. Fingers crossed, I should find out in a week. I think it went well and I think working in a position that can make such a difference in others lives would soften the blow of getting back to work earlier than I had initially planned.
so glad everyone seems to be doing well and I will check back in soon!!! Things are starting to feel a bit calmer around here.
ps- can't believe how many new people there are. Feels like I've been gone for evs.
@candicek15 - Goodness! So glad you're all okay, that sounds terrifying!
@lunagrl79 - so glad to see an update, you continue to amaze me with your strength and outlook! I also love the choice of applying to be an ABA therapist! The classroom I'm a teacher in is a support classroom for students with autism and so I know ABA well, and it most definitely is a rewarding/challenging/entertaining/never a dull moment in your life/amazing field!
Next up *Rant alert but it seriously needs to be Twatwaffle Tuesday....* Today, we had an OB appointment. Our OB has always come in and kind of done the general "Everything good? Ya? Awesome, see you next time.." and it's been weird to me that it felt so rushed but I haven't really thought anything of it. Well, today he comes in and asks if everything is going well and I say "well other than the Gestational Diabetes diagnosis, everything is going just fine". He turns and looks at me blank and then says "Oh yea, that is a problem" and then rushes through a "how are they tracking it blah blah". But I could tell he had NO idea that I'd been diagnosed with GD. So then as we're wrapping up I ask him if he is still planning on doing an ultrasound to check on baby, which he looks at me blankly about and says "Uhhh ya, thinking. Well with the GD diagnosis we'll do at least one more, but everything was good with the last ultrasound right?" UHHHH NO. If you ladies happen to remember, at our 20 week appointment this same OB wouldn't even look me in the eye as he told me there was something wrong with my baby and we needed to go to Iowa City, aka one of the worst days of my life. He legit had no idea who we were, at all. You can't even check your chart to see who you're coming to talk to so you don't ask a dumbass question like that? Let's just say we won't be seeing him again and I will be wishing hard that he is not the on call doctor when I go into labor.... *End rant*
