MamaNicoleof3 - ah ok. same here. I noticed them a bit w DD, but they're much more frequent this time and agree that they're not painful - just odd feeling. I get them all day 2-3x an hour, usually. My uterus must be reallllllly into practicing labour this time around - such a keener.
I got them all the time last time and all the time this time. I tried to explain them to my husband. He doesn't fully understand how they can be annoying but not hurt. It is very odd to explain... I get them almost every time I stand up from sitting a long time.
@courtjack mine seem to happen in the evening or in the middle of the night after I get up to pee. They don't hurt but my uterus tightening is very uncomfortable. I don't have a previous pregnancy to compare them to but they definitely happen every day.
@courtjack so stoked to hear the great news! Also- I have BH throughout the day, I notice them most when getting up and starting walking. Sometimes strong enough that I stop for a sec. DH always says he 'doesn't like this Braxton character.'
Also, @CourtJack glad to hear your results are good. My BH come with starting new exercise like going up stairs or when I set out to walk my dog. I notice those the most.
As for a push present, well I just like presents or surprises. I don't think my DH would know the term. My DH got my the sweetest jewelry box a few months ago and it appeared on my dresser when I came home from being hospitalized sick for the night. It was literally too sweet. He doesn't do things often to surprise me so when he does they stick with me for a long time.
I think my child is an octopus... I don't think there is any other explanation for the random places where it pokes me. There is no logical way it could be situated where it can hit so many spots in such a short time!
I had a crappy midwife appointment this morning and now I'm grumpy! I don't know wtf is wrong with the lab I go to but they neglected to send over the report that just shows my blood type AGAIN (had to repeat it because they didn't send it with my first tri blood work either) so my midwife still can't order my WinRHO shot because there's no official result saying I'm RH- (although obviously my blood type has not changed since my last pregnancy so wtf...)
And also, despite me repeatedly correcting my phone number that keeps being wrong on all my forms, apparently no one was able to reach me regarding my GD screen results. I had assumed I had passed because I didn't hear anything...nope! Big fat flunk and now I have to do the hideous long fasting test.
OK I'm done whining. I'm gonna have a chocolate bar while I can and crank some music until I stop being a rage monster.
1) lululemon for the win. Before I got pregnant, I literally lived in my stuff every day. And now, I can't fit in 99% of what I own because boobs and belly.... 2) @CourtJack SOOOOOO happy to hear the good news!! And that you didn't need to fart. But that did make me giggle. 3) BH can go suck it. Especially at 3am when LO decides that my bladder is too full so she starts kicking it (and my cervix), so I get up and pee, then BH follow immediately. They're not so much painful, just awkward and uncomfortable to fall back asleep from. 4) As far as push presents go, H asked me about it the other week, and all I could really think of was another charm to add to the bracelet he gave me for our wedding. I want to wait until she's born, so we can get whatever piece we pick out engraved with her birthdate, though. And yes.... He went to Jared!!! haha. 5) anyone else unable to use the app? I had to go grab the laptop.
@CourtJack Glad to hear you got good results, on both accounts.
@Emztron500 I just finished an entire small-ish chocolate bunny (thought it did say serving size was 1/4...) and I'm having a good day. So I think you definitely deserve two!
It is currently 12:26pm. I am sitting in my recliner, eating strawberry eggos, drinking Donald Duck orange juice, watching the Astros/Yankees game while DH is snoring in the couch..... Lol.
Speaking of snort laughing....my random for the morning...H's first language is Hindi not English and he was taught English by some 1920s school marm so his phrases are sometimes all mixed up. This makes me laugh to no end (he finds it funny too and I'm not making fun of him in a mean way here) when I explain what the phrase actually is. Today's random phrase was "well, the shit really hit the fence!" instead of "shit hit the fan!" I love that the phrases are so random from him and he really thinks they are correct until I explain why the phrase means what it is supposed to mean. My favorite to date of his was "Man, I've really got to get my cocks in place" instead of "ducks in a row". I still LOL at that one.
@mkemommy That story is amazing. We have a friend that speaks Hindi as well and they definitely learn to translate things differently when learning English. He always talks about "preponing" something when you move the time up sooner. We're always like, "we get it... but no" hahaha. Goes the other way too though. When we were in India we were trying to learn some Hindi and our friend called a monkey a grape (langour/angour, I think) and our taxi driver was busting a gut laughing at him.
My DH's first language is French and he mixes up sayings like that too. One time he said, "It's like beating a dead cat" instead of horse and I laughed at him for a long time until I realized that beating a dead horse doesn't make much sense to me either...
I trimmed my bikini line and shaved my legs the other day. It was a major achievement, but I promptly told H that it was the LAST time that was happening this pregnancy!
I can still do the toenail trimming, but it does take some more creative positions than it used to...

Mamas dealing with annoying Braxton Hicks - how frequent do you find they are? This pregnancy they've really ramped up for moi.
I had to go to L&D for bleeding last night and when they monitor they do the whole contractions monitor as well as the babies heartbeat. I had 7 good size measurable ones in an hour and a half and she said that's not a big deal and doesn't concern them
Only the most comfortable yoga brand in the world!! But, a little pricey IMO.
This. Which is why most of my articles from there came from the sale rack, with the exception of my high waisted pants because I needed them and my mom bought them for me. My MIL gave me lululemon $$ for my b-day but I'm saving it for after baby is born.
@MeganF08 when we left the house they were down 2-0. I think. I was more into my waffles than anything lol.
The first time DD pooped in the potty I texted a pic to my husband. He is the only one I let know about it occurring.
My house is a mess, but I can't really get on the floor very well to clean it and hubby isn't a cleaner, so it may not get cleaned/picked up.
@colesmom33 my husband has worked to teach our daughter to pick things up with her toes. He's proud of the fact she can do it.
@ginnyj2012 I am so sorry about your pictures. I think your solution sounds very reasonable.
@parsonsperson, saying a prayer for your friend that everything goes smoothly.
@winniethepoohspants I have a nice Serta spring mattress that I bought a little over 10 years ago when I was in college--it is still my favorite bed to sleep on. It's a firm mattress with like a 2 inch pillow top. The mattress is now on our guest bed (it's a full). We bought the mattress on our bed while I was pregnant and I've regretted it since, so I recommend waiting until after you are comfortable once baby is born before mattress shopping. Lay on all the mattresses and go to all the stores until you find one that you don't want to get off of. Also, go to the mattress stores, not furniture stores that also sell mattresses--you are likely to be able to talk them into a better deal and free delivery.
I took DD to a children's museum today. I left an hour earlier than I normally would because I was so exhausted from all the walking/chasing of her. Also, my daughter is in the "I will do everything by myself" phase and was trying to open the door to leave. The guy behind us hit the "handicap open door button" to "help" her. She then laid on the sidewalk screaming and crying because she thought I didn't let her do it by herself. The random guy said he was going to push the button to help her and I turned and asked him not to, he did it anyway. Thanks random guy--I appreciated the temper tantrum you created in my child. I also really enjoy Sonics happy hour.
H was the only dude at this breastfeeding class and the lady kept singling him out when referring to "partners." He is less than thrilled with me and I just can't stop laughing.

They saaaaid partners were encouraged to come.
This must be a class-by-class thing. I've heard sometimes no partners come to breastfeeding classes but a male co-worker who just went with his wife said that the women without partners were in the minority when he went. H is going to be uncomfortable as all hell if he is the only dude in my class coming up....he once showed up to a prenatal yoga class on accident (he does yoga once a week but went to the gym outside of his normal schedule). He didn't figure it out until about 10 minutes in and then had the debate of "do I leave and draw even more attention to myself or do I stay and they think I'm a perv." That STILL makes me laugh.
I've been so busy the last fee days I can't keep up with you ladies. I want you to know I'm still here and reading when I can. Handing out the love too
Re: Weekly Randoms go here...
Get BH few times a day. I'm telling myself it's good and labor will be easier:)
Also, @CourtJack glad to hear your results are good. My BH come with starting new exercise like going up stairs or when I set out to walk my dog. I notice those the most.

...I might have another.
I'm trying to change my username, so I'm posting this as a test to see if it worked.
ETA: Dang it, didn't work!! Anyone know how to change your username? Thought it isn't the best idea to have my name out there on the internet!!
ETA #2: Now it works! Yay! Don't hate me for starting a thread on this, but I don't want people to think I'm new!

Also, after the poop in fb convo last night...DS1 pooped in the toilet for the first last night! And I did not post it on fb!
alysemciver - all ok with the bleeding?
And, I'm not remotely concerned with the BH's
@sdnybrk1 good on you! I wish WAY more people were like you. And congrats on your LO's first poop-on-the-potty success! I know that's a huge deal!
@alysemciver sorry to hear you had some bleeding. I hope everything's okay!

@courtjack yay for the great news.
@emztron500 that totally sucks, I'm sorry.
