@smushi I am so glad they got you sorted out. I worry as a FTM and not knowing what labor is supposed to be like that I might not know if something is wrong ugh.
@smushi I'm so glad they got you sorted!! I think (even amongst all of the "I'm pregnant, not handicapped!" talk) that you need to take it easy this weekend. So glad that LO is safe and happy on the inside!
@smushi so happy to hear things settled down. Positive thoughts your way!
So excited ils are coming today and I have a whole weekend of holiday festivities lined up. This evening is visiting antique Santa at the farmers museum then out for a nice dinner. Tomorrow we are going to the local diner for breakfast, then to get our Christmas tree. Ils are Jewish and are so excited about getting to cut down and decorate their first tree lol. Tomorrow is also the last night of Hanukkah so we will be exchanging our gifts and things too. I love this time of year!!!
It's snowing here which is actually a bummer because we were planning on going to a Christmas parade. Dh said we shouldn't take DS to a parade in the snow. I said it would be magical and he said for only about 30 seconds.
@oceanchild I have the same problems. My nose hasn't stopped running for weeks haha. It's SO humid today too. Gross.
My shirt did not turn out that well once I put it on. No one sells maternity Christmas shirts (rude) and I not have time to order one since the party is tonight. UGHH

I found an ugly Christmas sweater cardigan that wasn't maternity. I just wore it open with a white maternity tank top.
It's beautiful here today, pretty much my ideal weather! Warm, not hot, not humid, sunny
Comment of the day from worker at coffee shop: wow, we were just talking about you, you must be ready to go, huh? Nope. Not until March. Thanks though!
That's the third comment in a week. I must be imagining that I'm not that huge. Wtf.
I feel sick. I have an upset tummy and a low grade fever. Yuck, yuck, YUCK!! Luckily, I feel better feeling baby swish around. If only I could stay awake long enough to finish my laundry. I need clean clothes!!
Because maple bars are too big for kids (imo), I make maple bar hearts for my kids. It's been awhile but I made some today and honestly, after they go to sleep I'll eat at least 4 lol. Here's some for y'all!
Thanks @kynbar5 just back to the usual tightness, but without contraction pain. Felt so sorry for DS all day. He kept asking to 'nee nee' but I had to say no which really upset him That made it just a little rougher of a day.
I just got back from dinner and I feel like I didn't even eat that much but I'm sooooooooooo full. It feels like I ate three times as much as I did. I wonder is it because my stomach is sort of squished by now?
I'm assuming our tummies have been squished. It takes me forever to eat a full meal because I feel like I'm going to explode after a few bites.
Butterflies, I think I really dislike that they're very gross and their pretty appearance fools you. They taste you with their feet. While you think they're being cute and resting on your hand they're actually eating your sweat, salt, or any other bodily fluid (that includes urine). People think flies are gross because they eat rotting flesh but so do butterflies. They're deceitful!! Lol!!
Wowza, I missed a lot over the past couple of days. @smushi, so glad everything turned out OK for you! I'm getting to the point where I'm so ready to meet this little guy, but then when I think of actually going into labor this early, I freak out. Too soon for all of us! Keep on cooking, babies! So, dumb question . . . what is dry nursing? Also, check out the March 16 ladies taking over the leaderboard! Way to go!

@kynbar5 you were in my dream last night but I don't remember what happened because I dreamed a spider crawled up my arm and I jerked awake.
Speaking of dreams, I have had dreams of my high school sweetheart (who is not dh) pretty much every night for the last few weeks. It is driving me crazy! His wife is also pregnant right now and due on my birthday. We are both having girls. I always feel so guilty waking up in the morning!! Let me say I am super happy with my life right now and wouldn't change a thing. I don't know what the deal is!

I want to put those in my face RIGHT NOW. I have such a crazy sweet tooth right nowwwww

Well I'll save you from the butterflies if you save me from the spiders!!!
And now I'm totally not full anymore and seriously contemplating going to eat leftovers though I think I would side eye myself for doing that.... Water it is!!
@smushi so glad you and baby are okay! I would have been freaking out man. I have no chill when it comes to this child.
Soooo *looks around sheepishly* who wants to tell me what happens when you go into labor? Like does your water break first? Do contractions come first? How long do I wait before going to the hospital? Sorry... No one in my physical world likes to give me solid answers. They just laugh and jokingly tell me "oh, you'll just know..."

ETA he says nee nee for nursing
Aww yea, I remember when I first had to tell my youngest no. Super sad faces. I'm really glad the contractions have gone away though!

Not everyone's water breaks. Mine never has. Usually ftm's labors are pretty long but I remember with my 1st I had to go for an hour of 3-5 minute apart contractions before I could go in to even be checked. Every woman's story will differ though

Ooooooh that's a loaded question. Your water can break (broke with my first while on the toilet for a 2am bathroom run. Every time i moved my water would gush. I was stuck on the toilet for a good 10 minutes). And then ctx start. Or not break and ctx start. If your water breaks, you're kind of on the clock, most OBs or midwives want you to deliver within 24 hours. You really go by the timing of ctx. 5-1-1 is the rule of thumb to call your doc. Your ctx are 5 minutes apart lasting 1 minute or so for at least an hour. You can go in at 4-1-1 to 3-1-1, but it's really up to your doc on your game plan. For me ctx feel like period cramps on steroids, at least at the beginning of labor. And you will probably have to breathe through them when it's time to go in. It's not like movies make it seem. It actually takes time. So patience is a good thing.

Got home from the fire hall- had to work the last Bingo of the year. But hubby had his union christmas party so he brought me home leftovers! They were sooo good! So good in fact, we have spent the last 1/2 hour in bed watching little man move my tummy! He is still going too a couple ladies at Bingo shrieked when they could physically see my tummy move. He has been moving and pushing so much today I swear he wants to come out my belly button!
Now it's time to try and sleep.

Eff that @SarahFoley725!! Spiders are dicks.
Butterflies on the other hand... Blah!! I'll run out screaming and crying...I don't want them tasting me with their feet and eating my sweat. Gross...
