Take a long poop completely in silence. Eat all of your own food without having to share a single bite. Don't hide when you eat. Walk around naked. Have sex at the drop of a dime. Go somewhere at the drop of a dime. Take a nap anytime you feel like it. Take a look at the minimum amount of dirty laundry that you currently have. Read a book with no interruptions. Umm, I can't think of more right this second because my (older) kids just walked through the door and all I hear is "mama, mom, ma..." Lmao

I made the mistake of telling my 3 and 1 year old I put a cinnamon banana bread into the oven. Now every 5 minutes all I'm hearing is "can we have some "cinnanin" banana bread now?" "is it done yet mama?" "BANANA!" "how much longer?" "I think it's done!" Sad part is, there's still almost an hour to go! Lol
Soooo... How much longer? Can you mail us some cinnanin bread?
OMG...open wound inside, takes time to heal..aaaargh...Ftm...must say in a way i am looking forward to giving birth (think it's much harder when you know what to expect a second time)...but call me naïef (last 6 years i've became an "expert" in fertility treatment) but never knew this much details about labor and after..hmmmm...one part of me wants to know everything, the other part wants to know nothing...;)
@soxfan9968 Cinnamon Banana Bread with Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crumble Full Disclosure: I had to have a few taste slices just to make sure it was good and I sliced a piece for each one of the kids for after dinner so there's only half left haha. ETA- it was super moist (that word is only acceptable when describing food in a good way lol) and delicious!
Yay!! We just locked down our new rental we have the landlord from hell these last two years and I'm just excited to get the hell away from her. We have one more year and a half here is SC then we can move out of the state. I was really stressed we wouldn't find something large enough in our school district since there isn't much inventory. Now we can move in January so packing up is my major to do everyday thankfully I started to decluttering months ago.
@cmerribury sorry about the incident with your son, glad it got sorted out. He sounds like a right little sweetheart!
Hope you're all well.
I have my glucose test tomorrow. Ate about 3kg of sugar today and hope that doesn't affect it.
One of my student's moms saw me today for the first time in a while. Last time I saw her I wasn't showing. She was like "omg you've really popped! When are you due, January?" Um no, lady. March. "Oh my god and it's your first!" Well fuck you very much. I'm getting real tired of comments like this. I don't look *that* big ffs!!! Eurgh. I just feel cranky right now. TFIF tomorrow!!
(Sorry for the whining, it's not like me, just PO'd today.)
Hey ladies! Just wanted to update that my doc sent me to L+D and they monitored contractions and little one's heartbeat and all is well. My cervix is closed and long (I know you all were dying to know!) so she put me on pelvic rest and told me to lay down as much as possible and hydrate a lot. I'm to follow up with my OB on the 22nd.
Hermione (the chicken) is doing ok. She's going to get some extra love tomorrow and some meds but she seems to be healing.
The day got better.
Now if someone would just bake me some cinnamon banana bread....
Go to the movies by yourself. As often as possible.
Make a list of the books you'd like to read. Read them now (or forever hold your peace).
@skruhmin I think I have the two week thing down pat. I'm a lazy homebody. Breastfeeding a newborn nonstop? Like a delightful picnic. Only leaving the sofa to go pee or shower? Piece of cake. I saw a gal at Carters who had a brand new babe, and I asked her how old - 2 weeks. I just told her how amazing she looked, and then proceeded to laugh on the inside because I would never look that good or even consider leaving the house that soon. Nope nope nope.
@cmerribury I'm glad you (and the chicken) are doing better! Also, seriously, if I lived close to any of y'all I'd very happily drop off all kinds of little treats.
March '16 December Siggy Challenge - Favorite Christmas Movies/Quotes
@kynbar5 hours ago I tried to tell you that I was picturing you throwing chunks of bread at your hoard of children like ducks BUT the app hasn't been working for me.
@cmerribury I'm glad you and LO are fine. Super excited about your cervix too! Also, your chicken is named Hermione AWESOME
@SarahFoley725 I literally lol'ed at that! It's extra funny to me though because on more than one occasion I've said that when they're all having a "mom, mama, ma, MOM, hey moooooooommmmm" day it's like be pecked by a bunch of little ducks hahaha

It's lefse making with my family tomorrow! For those of you who aren't familiar, lefse is a Scandinavian very thin, potato tortilla. Sounds weird but sooooo good with butter, sugar, and cranberries rolled up in a piece. I'm scared it will be a dying art so I'm trying to learn how to make all of the good Norwegian goodies I grew up with like lefse, krumkake, and rosettes- so the traditions can live on. My husband's family is Polish and it makes me sad they don't ever make any traditional Polish goodies or food, so I hope my kids will enjoy my Scandinavian treats, as I did/still do! Maybe I'll leave out the lutefisk though, icky.
March 2016 Moms: January Siggy Challenge "Pregnancy Problems"
@cmerribury glad things are looking up! @jstanton0822 I also love being pregnant. This time around especially I realize what a precious time it is. Definitely not all sunshine and rainbows (I am so hoping to avoid bedrest and magnesium this time around), but there are only so many times in your life you can carry a child and I am trying my best to enjoy it as much as possible.
We had cookies and cocoa at school tonight. I volunteered to help out (we need to have so much above and beyond stuff for our evaluations and I am not doing it in the spring). It went ok, but I was already tired from working all day and I need to tidy the house. So I bought coffee tonight (it's 930) so I could stay up and clean like a mad woman because the ils are coming tomorrow and they just called to say they aren't coming until Saturday morning now. I am annoyed, especially since Ds is really excited about them coming and he will be disappointed, but also if i had known, I Could have done all the cleaning tomorrow, but now I drank a large coffee and will be up all night anyways.
We don't do it, @red3ye mainly because I'm lazy as hell and it's just one. more. thing to remember.
Funny story I wanted to share. When we were waiting for the car tonight at the hospital (L+D has valet, brilliant!) my son turns to me and says "Mommy, sometimes pregnant girls get really mad and yell and it doesn't go away until after they have the baby." Totally straight-faced. I turned to him and said "Oh yeah? Did daddy tell you that?" And he just nodded, all serious. Hilarious!! Can't wait to hear what my husband tells him about my mood swings when on my period. LOL!!

You're not allowed to do that until 34 weeks in case you didn't know.

Love it! I'm from MN and my mom's side are Norwegian. I miss making lefse! It's just not the same making it out here in the West coast, in 70 degree weather. I definitely don't miss the lutefisk, though...
@skruhmin did ds want to play with it or seem interested in the different things the elf was doing? I know ds won't understand that the elf is watching him for Santa but I'm hoping he might get a kick out of stuff the elf is doing.
He moves him around but doesn't really play with him. He puts him by the front door so he can fly back to the north pole. He has fun looking for him every morning.
DS1 - 9/21/11
DS2 - 7/4/14
DS3 - 2/21/16 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our family of 5 is complete!! Love our boys!
@cmerribury glad everything's okay with you and baby.
We've never done elf on the shelf mostly because I didn't grow up with it and I'm too lazy to do it. I do like seeing my friends pictures some people are really creative with it.
So, I took a nap at 2 because I was exhausted (really missing my antidepressants this week, and sleeping soooooo much just to get through my mood shifts) and finally fell asleep around 10, and then DH decided to wake me up to DTD. Sooooooo not into it right now, and now I just hurt. And I'm not tired anymore.
So now I'm exhausted, feeling down, feeling peckish, and wide awake. On the plus side, it's snowing! So pretty!
Just getting caught up on the last couple pages and ohmygoodness the fish.... I was laughing so hard. Sometimes I feel that certain individuals (including a few that I know) should be required to undergo extensive training before being allowed to procreate. Cause if you're 34 weeks and your SO decides to cook something nice for himself AND watch TV, clearly that meets all requirements for a toddler-style tantrum. Just hope you can get back up from the floor when you're done.
@Parker16772 subscribe and save is awesome. We do it for stuff like soap, and disposable diapers when we use them (we combo cloth/sposies). And with my first baby we used it for formula too. And other things, like our cereal. If it's something you go through a lot, the discount is usually worth it.
@jstanton0822 that was precious. Seriously you made me smile - I love your perspective. And I love the new avatar
@kynbar5 at first I misread that and thought you'd told your 1 & 3 YOs *to PUT the bread in the oven* and I'm just over here like "holy cow I know she's a pro and all, but noooope" haha! Sounds so delicious! And the mental image of you with all the little ducklings cracks me up
@cmerribury glad to hear haooy updates! And hahaha your little/DH funny funny! Like you, I'm way too lazy for Elf on the Shelf.
@ecwk I hope your glucose challenge goes well today! Good luck!

@jstanton0822 I absolutely love being pregnant too! It too took us 4 years (to the DAY to be exact ) to get pregnant. The onlyreal complaint I have are my abscesses that I get for no reason now.
I feel like this pregnancy is flying by and I'm going to miss it when it's over.
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@oceanchild oh no! Lol. The stove and oven are on a restraining order with the kids. The older ones know when the "hot surface" light is on they're to stay away and the 2 youngest know if I'm standing near it (which is pretty often haha) they can't be. My youngest has hot and cold mixed up at the moment and he'll walk up, point at the oven and say "no no, cooooooollddddd"

I tend to agree, but if someone is doing something harmless enough like placing a pretty crystal on a shelf above the bed and feels some placebo effect from it and perceives some sort of relief then eh, I can smile and nod with the best of them

Random question: I notice that most people who edit usually make a "ETA" or "edited bc" postscript to their replies. I rarely do (unless I'm changing what I was saying), bc usually I'm editing typos or adding a gif or something, and since I tend to be so rambly I feel like adding anymore words make my reply seem even more daunting to endure haha. Or if I add a few more words for clarification, as long as the point hasn't changed *at all*, I don't note that either … Do people prefer to know the details of every edit? On fb you can click to see the original post/reply so there isn't a question of shadiness, but I realize there's no way to do that here, so I am using bad forum etiquette?

I do the exact same thing. I only put ETA when I change or delete a lot. Usually, I just need to add a letter to a word or delete a single word for clarity so I don't feel like I need to announce that. But if it bugs people that I do that... I can totally start.
So I'm pretty sure the award for dumbest reasons to cry and get upset goes to me. Last night DH was making jerkey and using a meat slicer to cut the meat. He kept sticking his finger close to the blade to get out little pieces of stuck meat and a freaked out. Usually I would be like " He's a grown ass man, if he cuts his finger that's his problem". But I got so worked up about it when he didn't stop after I asked him. Sheesh, where is all this crazy coming from?
Well the family I work for ended up letting the girl that I was training go. She's coming to pick up her check today. No lie, I taped it to the door. Totally not professional but also I don't want to deal with it as it wasn't my decisions. On to training someone new next week! 5 more days of work I can't believe it.
We are having our annual white elephant party tomorrow and I am so freaking excited. Kinda bummed I can't drink with everyone but oh well. Speaking of I need y'alls opinions. Do you think I'll regret it if I don't go out to do something for NYE. I mean it's the last year for a lonngggg time that I won't need a babysitter. I don't want to go to bars or anywhere crowded because I will be close to 30 weeks at that point. I want to get dressed up and such I'm just so torn.
Also it's about 76 here today plus intense humidity
