Boys are SO much harder for us for some reason. Partially because I work with kids, the majority being boys, so I have a lot of associations with a lot of names. We both like Mason, but don't love how it sounds with our last name. Other than that...nothing. Hoping to get some good ideas
Same here. H is a teacher and every name I suggest has some association with it. I really want Arya Mae Longpolishname for a girl. No idea about boys. I suggested Adrian last night and he started yelling ADRIAAAN like Rocky. I give up. Hopefully it's a girl.

We are thinking Margaret A for a girl. Margaret is a family name. We like Mack for a nickname (our last name starts with a k.) and sh like Rayland for a boy. I'm not sold.
My cousins name is Ryland, pretty close! She's a girl though, but I think it would make a great boys name!
------
We had our names picked out long before we were even married haha. I came into the relationship with a girls name I absolutely wouldn't budge on and hubby LOVED it, so that one is set in stone! It will be Eden Ann. Ann was my mothers middle name and I wanted to honor her in some way.
As for the boys name, I also brought a boys name that I really loved and hubby also loved! It's Kale, but I think I would spell it Kael instead, so as not to be confused with the vegetable lol. However, years later, I'm definitely open to change. I'm really liking Kellen these days; He's not totally in love with it but also likes it. Hubby's middle name is Kristopher, and so would baby's, so both Kael Kristopher and Kellen Kristopher flow really nicely.
I also like Noah, but Hubby doesn't TwT. Basically any boy names I've offered other than Kael and sorta Kellen, he doesn't like, lol.
For a boy, his name will most likely be Oscar (family name) for middle names we have quite a few A names for some reason...
Atlas, Arlo, Ari, Alistair, Atticus, August as well asHenry (family name), Frank (family name) and Otto.
For a girl we have quite a few more... Katherine (family name 3 times over), Frances (family name), June, Aria (guilty pleasure name), Clementine, Beatrice, Cora, Clara, Matilda, Ruby, Josephine, Cecilia, Juliet, Eloise, Louise, Rosalie, Simona, Caroline, Hazel and Corinne.
I love the baby name game!

We can't agree. It was easy with the first (Braylin Avery) but holy cow this is a struggle. My husband is a third and is dead set on a boy being the fourth...I think 4 Joels in the family is a little much. And girl names seem to be even more difficult. My favorite name is his sister's name (Leah) and my second favorite name is one he can't stand (Grace). Once we know the sex we might just throw some names in a hat and pick.
@mrslesp - DH is a fourth, and I'm so glad he wants to forgo naming our potential son the fifth. I'm really hoping he doesn't change his mind between now and then. I kind of feel like I don't have a say in it though - like if he wants to name our son the fifth, I have to go along with it because it's his name. Does that make sense?
This may sound terrible but I love hipsterish names. I'd love a Wyatt or a Atticus, but DH says they are way too out there. I almost had him sold on Wyatt but then the next day he didn't like it suddenly. We love Killian, but one of my nephews is Kellen, and we think it's too close, and I like Oliver, but my other SIL says she wants that if SHE gets pregnant again, and she's got a Maddox Odin, so I don't want a "bob" or something plain.
Hilariously, I had a cousin who named their daughter 'Margaret" and called her "Meg", and then a few years later another cousin had a daughter and named her "Megan" and she doesn't exactly go by "Meg", but my first cousin was mad about it. It was such gossipy drama. Then we have one Anne and one Anna. I told my mom I should name my daughter "MegAnna" and make everyone mad.
And today I told my DH that if we had a daughter on the 4th of July I wanted to name her Liberty. lol.
I love baby names!!! Girl name is yet to be decided. But my SO is very passionate about the name Holden for a boy. Or William Holden (first and middle.) I'm not 100% sold on it yet, but perhaps I'll warm up to it. lol!
Our boy name has been chosen for, like, ten years. Jack Alexander. This is our last, and I highly doubt it's a boy. Sooooo back to the drawing board! Girl possibilities:
Faye, Mabel, Catherine, Fiona, Audrey, Agnes, Adelaide. I'm sure it'll change a zillion times before we decide.
Spencer came to mind earlier today and hasn't left. My DH randomly shouted "MAVERICK" tonight but then quickly vetoed it.
With our DD we had it narrowed down to Savannah Rae (my grandfather's middle name, spelling and all) & Brennan Marie(my middle name) - when she was born, she became Savannah Rae
We've had our girl name picked out for probably about a year, but we can't seem to agree on a boy! If I have a girl, we have decided on Cecilia Rose. Rose is my middle name as well as my grandmothers and my sisters.
I really like Aiden Joseph for a boy, but I haven't even brought that up to the hubs yet
Oh I could play this game all day long. For boys: Christian Daniel Oliver Joseph Jacob Daniel
For girls: I'm super protective of our top pick bc we love it and it's not even in the top 1000 names and I irrationally don't want it to become popular! But middle name would be Lynn (family name)

Rosalind, Evelyn and Eleanor are faves as well.
Now I really want to know!!

ok, this is a good time to get opinions on the girls name DH likes....
We both like the name Amelia, and I want to use the MN Irene after my Grandmother, but he wants to spell Amelia with an E.
Is Emelia a real spelling of the name or is he just a special snowflake that likes youneek spellings?
Boy names we haven't even come close to figuring out. I have a list, but DH doesn't like any of them.
Emilia is an entirely different name, different origin, different pronunciation. It's of Latin descent and pronounced Em-uh-LEE-uh.
Amelia is an English variant of the German Amalia. Pronounced Uh-MEEL-ee-yuh.
Thanks for the input ladies. Now that I know its a real name, I am a lot more willing to consider it.
We've had our baby names set for awhile now, I'm 4w2d along. Ava Lia for a girl (one of my favorite book characters was Eva & it's just stuck with us) & Richard Benito for a boy (my father's name & my husband's father's name).
Great names ladies, I see some Alice's too! We've had Alice Catherine picked out for all five of our boys, and that is still the name we are going with this time. For a boy we are going with Ezra James Hutchings.
Mom to Emma, Noah, Isaac, Asa, Asher, Jonah and expecting baby Alice 7/16
A few years ago (preTTC) I came across Elena and told DH I love that name. He agreed and I always thought of that as our future daughter's name.
Now that I'm pregnant I mentioned that and he doesn't remember the conversation and no longer agrees! I feel like it is a girl, so I refer to baby as Elena to him sometimes... Maybe he'll warm up to it again
DH and I have had names planned for a while because we couldn't agree on ANYTHING. Finally narrowed it down to Abigail Mary for a girl and Benjamin John for a boy.
We are both teachers, so our "NO!!!!" lists are much bigger than our yes ones. If it's a girl, it will be Natalie Belle. If it's a boy, I don't know. We like Jackson as a middle name (it's a nod to his grandfather, Jack)... Actually, I like it as a first name, but he doesn't. We like Alexander, but I think Alexander Jackson sounds too much like a war hero. Our DS is Lucas Scott (which I guess is someone's name on One Tree Hill, but we had no idea about that).
If it's a boy, the name will probably be James Anthony Laurie (first is DH's maternal grandfather, middle is DH's dad, second middle is MIL's maiden name, which DH and his brother have as a second middle name). I also like Luke or Benjamin for a boy.
DH won't pick out a girl name because he wants it to be a boy, but I have lots of girl names Number one choice is Sophia Marie Anne (love the first name; middle is the middle name of DH's aunt who passed away; Anne is mine and MIL's middle name). I also like Katherine, Audrey, Mia and Charlotte.
I've had a girls name picked out since we even thought about TTC: Isabella Josephine. My great grandmother's name was Josefina and I was very close to her, but I prefer the English spelling and pronunciation of Josephine better than the Spanish one of Josefina.
Boy names have been a total nightmare, but we're sorta settled on John Lucas or Joshua Lucas. I also like the name Mateo, but trying to find something to go with it.
At least we have about 8 months to think about it and decide if it's a boy!
I love thinking about names!! DD is Lilah Ann - we didn't think about names till after we found out she was a girl so we had no boy names. For this little squish I'm liking Cadence Alyssa for a girl and for a boy I have no idea LOL boy names are so hard! I love tons of celctic boy names but they are very popular in our area right now. Still might have to go with one though.
I'm totally stuck on names but they need to be some type of flower name or such. My oldest is Meadow and my middle child is Briar Rose. So I'm thinking maybe Lilly,
DH and I picked out names before we actually decided we wanted children. For a girl, we are thinking Abigail Leigh (Abby) and then a boy, Alexander Dale (Alex or Xander). Dale is a family name.
After reading through this list, though, I kind of want to consider others! Not to mention, someone I once knew in high school named her daughter the same thing and I just happened to catch wind of it... it isn't a huge deal because we aren't friends and don't live in the same town, I just feel like my thunder was stolen, haha.

Boy names are sooooo hard for us. DH says he wants a junior and I'm like noooo way!!!
