I have always loved August and it was vetoed by my bf too! We cannot agree on anything. I love Wyatt, Vivian, Violet, Eden and Emerson for girls and Elliott, Noah and Wyatt for a boy. No matter what the girl's middle name is Jolie and boy's middle is Fox. I just don't want my kid to be one of ten of the same name in class!
A few years ago (preTTC) I came across Elena and told DH I love that name. He agreed and I always thought of that as our future daughter's name.
Now that I'm pregnant I mentioned that and he doesn't remember the conversation and no longer agrees! I feel like it is a girl, so I refer to baby as Elena to him sometimes... Maybe he'll warm up to it again
I'm an Elena! It's a great name, served me very well
My son's name is Colt James and it's the best one for boys in my opinion! This one will be more difficult if it's a boy. We are thinking Everett Frank. Those are both of our dad's middle names. If it's a girl, Ivy Lynn!
HAHA!! I'm an Ivey!! (it's the spelling for a last name used as a first). I love my name now, but not so much as a elementary and middle schooler. ie, Poision Ivy.
My best come back to 'Are you poisonous?' is 'Only when I'm angry.'
I'm not trying to dissuade you from the name. Again, I love my name. Just know that this is a possibility. I would consider myself stronger for dealing with the teasing.
We are going with Emilia or Enzo. Actually, I'm not 100% sold on Enzo because it feels like it is not an actual name, but a nickname for Lorenzo. I actually do like Lorenzo, but my DS is Noah and they just don't go together. Last time around we were going to go with Sofia for a girl, but I got used to referring to my son as Noah/Sofia when I was pregnant with him, so it doesn't feel right to use it again. Weird, I know. Emilia (I pronounce it Eh-mee-lee-a) is a name I recently discovered and DH loves it too!
My husband and I have both agreed on the names Olivia Grace for a girl and Wyatt Gaeton for a boy. Still continuing to consider other names though, as we have 7 1/2 months to go. Lol!
DH is driving me nuts with the name thing (again!) because he likes very plain names and I'm all for more unique ones. I won last time (Spencer Rhys), we'll see how this one goes, haha!
Boys names: Nikolai Anthony (Anthony is FIL's middle name), Jacob Anthony, or Gabriel Elias.
@jlgriff11 Same here! My fiancé and I work together so on slow days I would make baby name lists and in seconds he'd have over half of the boy names crossed off. Grayson is the only name that's ever made the cut!
This may be a sore spot for DH...since I started a conversation about baby names before we found out I was ku...and it ended up being a tearful and angry conversation...(you're a %#+!@ hormones!)...anyway it's kinda complicated because we have Eden and Elijah (Eli) and my OCD just won't let me veer from E's. Ezra got vetoed by DH. I REALLY want Elora. My moms name was Lorri and she passed away last year. I think the name is beautiful and it isn't like naming her Lorri...he does not like the idea of naming kids after dead people...even though his dad picked Eli before he passed (after an oldies song called Eli's coming)..so yea. I'm waiting for him to remove his head and do what I want. Lol
If it's a boy it will most likely be Felix James. we've talked about this name long before even trying. James is my Dad & grandpa's name and Felix is H's Grandfather's name and last name of his best bud/best man so a double nod on both.
I also love the names Sebastian and Alexander
Girls:
Evelyn
Evangeline (Evan)
Violet
Rose Catherine (My grandma and his mom's names)
(I got vetoed on Clementine and Olive)
I love the name Juniper too have't put that one passed DH yet. That an Evangeline and are fav girl names.
Well H finally came up with some boy names last night. He suggested Finn or Frederick. I like Finn okay, but I don't think it goes well with our last name, plus I'm Finnish and my family would be like "are you doing that because you're Finnish? That's dumb". Flynn is similar and I like it better, but I still think it sounds odd with our last name that is long and starts with an F.
I can get behind Frederick, although that's my dad's uncle's name and I wanted to use my maiden name for a middle name, so it would seem like I was naming him after him and I didn't know him. But he was an author so that's cool, and I do think Freddy Ourlastname sounds pretty decent.

We had fun picking out names. If we have a boy his name will be Colton Hawk. (I really love the first name. And as you can imagine my DH picked out the middle name ) Since he picked out the middle name for the boy, we decided that he would pick out the first name for the girl and I would choose the middle. He picked out Evvi (pronounced EH-vee) and I chose Hannah for the middle. Hannah is short for my grandparents last name (Hannula) bc we couldn't make it work with either of their first names (Roy and Idele).....maybe next baby?!?
Here are my top picks. Haven't talked with DH yet about these. We used my sisters middle name with our 1st so we are using my brother in laws middle name with our second.
Well since my big news today- we have to pick out some more names, just in case we get two of the same sex. Any ideas what goes with Mollie and Grayson?
I've always loved the name Ezra but my husband is like, "BETTER THAN EZRA! NO!" and I'm like, "no one this kid's age will even KNOW that band!"
As for girls, there aren't many in the family. My husband's family is basically a boy-making factory. IF we were lucky enough, I'd love to name her Tyler. But, we haven't even talked about girl names for the aforementioned reason.
I also LOVE the name Ezra! But, my daughter's name is Aria and my SIL pointed out that we would have 3 of the names from Pretty Little Liars in our family... That doesn't matter, does it?!
We had our girl name picked out 6 months into dating Amelia Rosalie, my grandmother was Rosalie Amelia but I had my heart set on Amelia before I knew it was her middle name. For a boy, not sure. DH is a Jr. and is thinking he might want his son to be a III. I'll let him decide (as long as it isn't awful!)

I LOVE Addison for a girl, so does my husband. I think girl names are so much easier!
I have very little ideas for boys, I like Tyler. It's extremely difficult being a teacher, it ruins all my favorites haha. I used to like Devin-that ended this school year.
If we have a girl, I'd like to name her Nova Maxine or Nova Carlyle. I chose the name Nova when I was a kid, and I've never budged on it. Luckily, my husband likes it too. Boy names are harder! I like Benjamin. He likes Vincent. Leo is the only boy name we both love.
I was so in love with the name Daveaney Pronounced: Dav-annie for a girl. It was the granddaughter's name in the Nicholas Sparks movie, The Notebook. I'm not sure how hubs likes it however. LMAO
We have our girls name: Eisley Grace. We can't for the life of us figure out a boys name. The only thing we know is the middle name: David Right now our boy list is
Really loving Luke these days, thanks to those who posted that! I also really like Lincoln, but the town my husband grew up in is Lincoln and he thinks that's weird.
DD is Madison Grace ... I love it but don't like that everyone calls her Madi, so this time around I want to make sure we choose a name that I still like once shortened.
We've chosen our boy name : Chase Ronald.
I promised my grandpa before he passed that i'd name our son Chase (my maiden name and the name of the company he created) and Ronald is for my husband's grandfather who passed when he was a baby.
For girls, i'm totally undecided. We currently like Kailyn, Keira, Mikayla, Raegan, Audrey and Avery. We shall see as my husband doesn't really like any of them ... especially ones ending in a 'y' or 'e' sound because our last name ends with a y. I don't think it sounds bad but he's stuck on it ... but if we have a girl her middle name will be Chase as we likely won't have a third.

I just wanna say that I've had a list since 6th grade full of names for the order, and in case of twins (girl girl, girl boy, boy boy) and even if I have 1 boy first then twins or 2 girls and then twins and so on (because I want 4 kids) AND in case of an "accidental" 5th child.
Right now, if we have a boy (which I hope we do NOT; there are only boy grandchildren (4) and no girls on his side) I think he'll be a Jr. A girl will have my maternal grandmother's name for her first name, and his grandmother's name for a middle name: Lillian Elena
Re: Names!
Girl: Elise Lily
Boy: Grayson Maddox
Daddy to be is picky...lol. It took us 5 years of arguing to settle on these.
I just don't want my kid to be one of ten of the same name in class!
So we just need a first name.
@Anewman1985 I LOVE Jocelyn Rosalee...beautiful
@jlgriff11 Same here! My fiancé and I work together so on slow days I would make baby name lists and in seconds he'd have over half of the boy names crossed off. Grayson is the only name that's ever made the cut!

My three boys are already Jakob, George, and Roger.
and Alexander for a boy.
But we also love the name Sage for either.
Here are my top picks. Haven't talked with DH yet about these. We used my sisters middle name with our 1st so we are using my brother in laws middle name with our second.
Girl:
Olivia Wade
Camryn Wade
Boy:
Logan Wade
Mason Wade
Boy:
Luc - DH is a huge Jean-Luc Picard fan and it's a bonus that it's a nod towards Luke Skywalker
Girl:
Our mothers' names are Elsa & Elizabeth. So I'd like a variant of these names as the middle name. So far, we like Elise & Eliza.
Ava/Eva, Nora, Mia & Maya are my top choices for first names so far.
If DH has it his way, our DD would be Leia/Leah! However, I am not a huge fan of the name's meaning; tired or weary.
Elijah John
Jean and John are family names.
Amelia Rosalie, my grandmother was Rosalie Amelia but I had my heart set on Amelia before I knew it was her middle name.
For a boy, not sure. DH is a Jr. and is thinking he might want his son to be a III. I'll let him decide (as long as it isn't awful!)
