Minahil Ahmed was born July 30th weighing 8lbs and 7 ounces and measuring 24 inches. Delivery was long 3 days and resulted in 3rd degree tears. Baby was face presentation but the obstetrician flipped her head and she was born vaginally. We are in love with her!!!
Madeleine Elisabeth was born July 18 at 11:40 am....6 lbs,15 oz and 21.75 inches. She came fast and I'm convinced it's because I didn't have breakfast and she was on strike about that. Haha. We couldn't have wished for a more amazing and perfect little girl. (Unfortunately, it's not letting me attach a photo).
"Rinny" (nickname) was born 7/25/15 at 5:33 am, 7 lbs 5 oz. 30 hour labor with failure to progress, pitocin started, partially failed epidural, 1.5 hours of pushing. Beautiful sunrise when she was born, but then I had complications with a retained placenta due to my arcuate uterus. I fainted and had to have emergency D&C and then a blood transfusion. After the trauma my body had a PTSD no sleep response and I didn't sleep for 96 hours until I started on Ambien and anxiety meds. Plus there was latch issues. I feel so much better after sleep now and even though I "pump and dump" I was able to feed her my hind milk before taking the meds. I hope to be off of them soon and give her my "liquid gold" soon. I'm also talking with behavioral health to heal my birth experience. We women are true warriors!!!
Atticus Lee Tando was born 7/28 at 8:58 pm via emergency c section after 30 hours of labor and only dilating to a 5. He's perfect in every way and so happy to have him here
Brielle Aurora was born at 10:22 pm on August 1st via induction, EDD was July 24th. Had a successful VBAC after 32 hours of labor and a failed epidural. She is 7 lbs, 9 oz, 19" long, and and a bundle of beautiful love!!
My little Kal-El was born naturally on July 26th, at 1:55 pm. He was 7.8 pounds and 18.5 inches. Mild contractions for two days, until I decided to head to the hospital at 4:30 am that sunday, dilated to 4 cm. Was stuck at 6 cm for hours until I asked to have my water broken and instantly dilated to 9 cm. Waited and pushed for 10 minutes. Then my little angel was put in my arms. Went home Monday 27th at 3 pm. Leo baby!
Our little Penelope June made her debut on July 30th @ 2:57am. 7lbs 13oz 19in long. Born at 31 weeks after a scheduled induction. My labor went well and I had an awesome midwife and nurses. Pitocin for 9 hours then got my epidural once I hit 6cm. Everything progressed quickly and active labor was about 6 hours. I pushed for an hour and a half. She was born beautiful and healthy. We are so in love with her. Thanks for being there on this journey. You all were so helpful.
My baby was born on 7/30 (on her due date) after 33 hours of labor. I attempted natural labor for 30 hours and then asked for an epidural when I no longer progressed past 7cm. After 3 hours I went in for an emergency c section as baby's heart rate dropped and I did not progress past 7cm. Baby was born a healthy 7lbs 6 oz 20.5 inches and is perfect!
Evelyn Jane was born July 30th at 5:28pm after only 20 minutes of pushing. I was induced at 41+1 and even though I was really worried about it the experience was amazing and everything went so smoothly. The epidural was AMAZING! I enjoyed my birth experience and I never thought I'd be able to say that. My daughter is perfect and her daddy and I are so smitten with her. To God be the glory!
@VCamacho125 sounds almost exactly like my birth story! I did get to 10 finally after being stuck at 7.5 for quite a while, but babies heart rate was showing distress so I also went in for an emergency C-section. I also wanted to go unmedicated but ended up with Pitocin, Fentanyl and the epidural
Reagan Eleanor born July 22, 2015, 5:33pm, 8lbs 2oz, 19.5 inches long. After arriving at l&d at 5:30am I was 4cm had my water broke at noon 6cm got an epidural at 1:30pm started pitocin at 3:30 6cm. At 5:15 was 9cm 0 station midwife said it would be another hour. 10 minutes later she was crowning and the midwife barely made it back in my room to catch our baby. Overall it was a great experience and birth.
@ecloho yeah very similar..I also wanted a natural child birth but this goes to show that things don't always go according to our plans. Idk why it happened the way it did bit I have to learn to accept it and be grateful that my baby girl is finally here.
Hey ladies. Zeke blessed our world today. Came to the hospital last night to start cyotec & ended up going into labor about 1am & my water started to trickle sometime around then also. Things were going great, got stuck at a 6 around noon so they started pitocin. Pushed for almost 2 hours & ended up getting a c section because he was sunny side up. He was 7lbs 12.8 oz & 21.8 inches long
Jack Logan was born at 5:23am on August 5th - 6 days late weighing 7lbs 6oz. FTM and I pushed him out in 15 minutes!! He is amazing. Life is so good. Congrats to all you mamas!
Sierra Sheila was born on July 24th at 12:48 am. She was 8lbs 5oz and 21 inches long. It took 30 hours of labor and a 2nd degree tear but couldn't love her more ♡
Ms. Maizie Ann Ortiz was born at 39w2d via emergency C-section after a 64 hour failed induction. Thankfully happy and healthy at 6lbs 4oz. and 20 inches. 7/13/15 4:39am
My son Ethan Peter arrived at 9:12am on 19th July. irregular contractions again at 2 a.m. on the aspect and then water broke at 2 a.m. on the 19th. Went into the hospital where I had an epidural and 7 and a halfhours later Ethan was born with the assistance of the vontous and some cutting and tearing. Epidural wore off for the 2 hours of pushing and was incredibly painful. we are thrilled that Ethan is here with us and was worth all the pain.
Our son, Tucker James, was born at 10:07 am on July 24th weighing 8lbs 9.9oz and measuring 21 inches long after 41.5 hours of labor. (I was induced because of being overdue and for having PUPPPS and was just not dialating quickly at all.) I was still able to deliver naturally without c-section. However, he had to be vacuumed out. Aside from that, our little man had to stay in the NICU because I spiked a fever during labor and they wanted to treat us both with antibiotics, his heart rate was tacking while I was pushing, and he ingested miconium. Everything ended up working out and he went home healthy on time. Now 3 weeks later, he is still happy & healthy except for our nightly bouts of gassy colic fits!
Cooper Wyatt was born August 7th at 9:22pm after 36 hours of labor, failed epidural, episiotomy, 2nd degree tear, and the help of a vacuum on the last set of pushes. Never did I think I could love something so much. The family nicknamed him Cooper the trooper after coming a week late and a tough labor. He is our most precious wonder.
Originally from the August Moms group but plans changed rather quickly. I was due with our little guy on 8/29 however delivered our Matthew Jacob via emergency c-section on 7/21 (33w5d) at 2:28 am due to preeclampsia. 4lbs, 8 oz and 19 inches long. He spent 15 days in the NICU learning to feed (cleared of all medical issues, just needed to feed better). He's been home for a week and a few days now and is doing awesome up to 6lbs, 4oz and has stolen our hearts in ways I never thought were possible
Abigail Marie finally decided to meet the world on August 11th at 11:09pm. Original due date was July 30. Had nonproductive contractions for two days. Saw the midwife at 10am on the 11th and she said I was effacing but not dilated. I went home and tried to rest but the contractions were too painful but they were 10min or more apart. At 7pm I decided to get into the tub in hopes of getting some relief and maybe some sleep after. Five minutes after getting in the tub my contractions were 4 min apart. My 2 yr old DD kept coming in to check on me and to kiss me to make it better :x . DH called the midwife and she said she had trouble believing I had already progressed that far so she wanted me to lay on my side and try to sleep and let her know if they didn't change. That only lasted about 20 min as I could not handle the pain in that position. The only way I could get through a contraction was to squat. We called the midwife again and she agreed to come check my progress even though she was still sceptical. Midwife arrived at 10:30 and was shocked to find me in the middle of intense contractions coming back to back. She called her assistant and checked me and found was 9.5 cm but the baby's head was diagonal. I squated through two more contractions and her head moved. Got in bed and pushed her out at 11:09. The assistant arrived soon after and they did all their post birth care and baby exam. It was way faster and more intense than my first. I never felt like I could get on top of the pain this time. Baby is doing well despite finding afterwards that I had very low amniotic fluid and the cord was wraped around her. I managed not to tear and am feeling great. DD is excited about the new baby but has a lot of adjusting to do.
My 2nd baby boy finally made his appearance 11 days past his due date (!!), due 7-30, born 8-10. Had a really sudden and fast 3-hour active labor. Judah was born at home weighing 10 lb 6 oz. I'm in my house full of boys and loving every minute of it. My heart is so full ❤
My beautiful son Leonardo Joshua was born on 1st aug (due 24th July) after a 15 hour long back labour which resulted in ventouse delivery at 1.21pm weighing 7 llbs 7oz. I could not be happier xxx
Kamren Michael Jr. arrived July 24th at 3:08pm. He came 2 days after his due date. He weighed 7lbs 8oz & 21in long. I was in labor for 13 hours and only pushed for 15 minutes. I did it without an epidural (yay me!).
Eliza Rae was born July 15 at 8:25 pm 6lb 1oz. 2.5 weeks early! I was due on August 1. Contractions started at 5 am but even after being at the hospital for 7 hours my water hadn't broken so at 7 pm they ruptured my membrane, 15 minutes later I was fully dilated and 2 pushes she was out! She's absolutely perfect! I didn't know I could feel so much love for something so little! Now at 6 weeks, she weighs 10 lbs 5 oz.
