@butterfly061583 God bless you, girl. SOME of these doctors are insane with how they make mom's feel in the hospital. I'm so sorry for your experience, it didn't have to be like that. Get yourself a midwife with your next and have your baby at home! This will be my second home birth, God willing, and it is the most amazing process. Do your research, you seem like you'd truly love it. Congrats on your baby! You did an amazing job!!
Our sweet Sam was born 7/14 at 8:46pm! Scheduled induction that took 13 hours, only pushed for 30 minutes! It was a wonderful experience. He is 8lbs 4oz and 20.5in long. We are in love! He is already a pro at breastfeeding and is the calmest baby ever.
My little girl Bailey was born on July 13th at 10:09am, weighing 7lbs 7ozs and measuring 19 and 3/4 inches long. She was two days early, such a nice surprise! My water broke on the 12th at about 6pm, got to the hospital around 630. They started me on pitocin around 8pm, I was fully dilated by 5am the next day but they had me labor down a few hours before pushing. I pushed for about an hour and she was born! Had a first degree tear, 2 stitches. Baby is in perfect health just wanted to share- all of my nurses kept badgering me about getting internal monitoring placed on my little munchkins head, which I refused several times. They had a hard time picking up my contractions on their moniter but I sure as hell felt them! And baby's heart rate was beautiful the whole laboring process so I found it unnecessary. They made me feel like I was doing something wrong for refusing and honestly I was pretty upset they bugged me about it so much. One of the nurses tried telling me since I refused and THEY couldn't tell me when to push I'd probably be pushing all day and they'd have to use a vacuum. Ladies, I made every push count! Just wanted to shard so you all know you can decline procedures you don't want and not to feel bad about it! My baby girl is doing fantastic and my labor wasn't complicated at all. Good luck and well wishes to all expecting mommies!!!
Olivia Grace was born 7/15 (on her original due date) at 0238, 6 lbs 12 oz, 18.5 inches. I went from a disappointing 2.5-3 cm yestetday at 3:45p to 4 cm at midnight, to 7cm at 2a (when I finally got my epidural), and fully dilated at 2:20a! I didn't even tear, and was walking around about 20 min after birth and have only taken ibuprofen 600 mg. I can't stop staring at my precious Libby (and had a nightmare I dropped her so I haven't even slept!)
ETA: Baby girl isn't latching possibly due to a shortened frenulum. So I'm pumping colostrum and feeding her with a syringe at the breast. Hoping to get a quick and easy frenulectomy before we discharge tmrw!
Ty Charles was born this morning after 36 hours of induced labor ! I was 38 weeks and induced due to preeclampsia , labor was long , extremely painful and exaughsting, but we love him so much already ! He was 19 1/2 inches long and 6 lbs 14 oz
Mason Rashon was born on 7/8 at 11:42am weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces, 19inches. I can't believe he's officially one week today. My heart melts every time I stare at his handsome face. I fought thru contractions at home until I couldn't take it anymore and arrived at the hospital at 7:30am. I was astonished to find out I was already 7cm dilated. My plan was to do natural but I quickly changed my mind and got the epi. I could not handle the pain. After practically making it to 10cm by 11, I had to be given oxygen to help baby Mason. His heart rate kept dropping into the 60s and he was still sitting high up. My doctor decided to perform an emergency csection. Even though I was mad I couldn't deliver vaginally, I'm happy my doctor made that decision, and fast. His cord was so damn long it had wrapped around his neck and entire body. So glad he's here and healthy. Good luck to all of you ladies and these precious gems we've brought into the world. We are ultimately blessed!
Chase Weldon was born 7\15/15 at 945pm coming in at 7lb 1oz 19in long via emergency Csection due to not progressing well in labor. I'm so in love with my baby boy :x
Eden Irie born 7/15 @ 2:44pm, 8lbs11oz 19.5in, 41 week induction. Labored for 6 hours, out on the second contraction. She is perfect, full head of brown hair with beautiful blue eyes. Love our little girl. Champ nurser.
Madison Lynn was born 7/15 at 2:10pm. Only had about 6 hours of labor after I actually started progressing with the pitocin. She weighs 5 pounds 12 ounces and is 18 inches long. We can't believe how in love we are already
So happy our lovely son Benjamin Alexander arrived on 15th July at 00:45 weighing 8lbs 9oz. Labour started naturally at 40+1 and managed to get to 7cm labouring at home using only TENS. I had to miss out on my water birth as we had meconium waters but with entonox and a lot of determination managed to hold off an epidural and our son was born 2 hours later. Harder than last time but glad we are both safe and didn't need any interventions- home later that day and so happy xx
Maddison!! Born 14/7/15 6.20 am weighing in at 10lbs 2 oz at exactly 41 weeks! We are soo proud and happy! Was induced 11pm Monday night, checked at 5 am and was 5 cm and then the pains became very intense, 6.20 am after 6 pushes she was here x
My precious love plum Zayn-Marquis arrived on July 11 at 9:55am. It was a long 15hours of labour which started at dilation of 3cm. I never knew induction would be so painful and I practically moaned, cried out or prayed with every contraction. Thankfully, it was time to push, I had excellent support of the doctors and midwives who helped with delivery lasting less than half hour. Baby weighed 6lbs 6oz and measured 18.5 inches long....giving thanks to God our Father for what He has done!
Twins were born Monday July 13: Baby A: Gemma Rose born 1:13pm, 5lbs 6oz 18 in Baby B: Sloan Carol born 1:25pm, 6lbs 1oz, 18.5in Born vaginally and went home on Wednesday.
Finally! Ms.Myleigh Nyla Merchant made her grand entrance this afternoon at 2:13pm weighing in at 7lbs 9oz, 19 inches long! Totally natural (no meds)! It was...(whew! No words! :-S I'm so in love all over again! I was super anxious to meet her. #baby#5 for me :x Good Luck to the mommas still waiting to meet their LO's
Mischa Paige arrived 7/16 8:55pm via emergency c section after she did not tolerate contractions. 6lbs 10oz, 19in at 40+4 was. She had to stay overnight in nicu, but looking great
Our baby boy arrived at 37.6 weeks. Declan weighed 7.1 and is 19 inches long. I had a NST at my doc appointment Wednesday which showed contractions every 3 minutes, but I thought they were Braxton hicks. Around 6 o'clock they were getting tough to talk through. We decided to go to the hospital at 9pm. He arrived med free at 11:19pm! When they wheeled me from triage to delivery, I started feeling pressure to push. I climbed on the deliver bed and stayed on all 4s and my water broke. There was meconium but everything is fine. About 5 minutes later he came out!
Elias was born at 12:12 am on 7/17 weighing in at 8#8oz. Induced at 4 pm after no progress at 41 weeks. Pushed for 25 minutes and he was here. Was born with a unilateral cleft lip on his right side and pallet. His dad and I are so in love with him ^_^ I have tears on both sides of my labia but nothing external.
Our little smoosh was born on July 12th at 5:17am (4 days past her due date) early labor started late Saturday evening and intensified through the day. the time we got to the hospital around 3am Sunday morning I was 9cm!! About an hour and a half later my water broke and I didn't think I'd be able to handle how intense the contractions got. Luckily I had a great support team in my husband and doula and after about 30 minutes of pushing our daughter was born! 6 pounds 12 ounces, 20 inches of amazing.
Our precious Ethan was born on July 10th. Water broke at home at 4AM, 8 1/2 hours of hard labor because the epidural did not work, 2 hours of pushing & he was here! He came a little earlier than expected at 37 weeks & 3 days. He is healthy & we are so in love
Canaan Dawson was born this morning 7/17 at 10:24 a.m. At 39+4. I was induced because of high bp. He was 9lbs 7oz and 21 inches long! He's absolutely perfect!
Today was the day son entered the world! Oliver William is 7 pounds 12 ounces and born around 3:30PM (only 1 ounce off from the ultrasound!) My water broke pretty unexpectedly while I was laying in bed around 2:30 AM, he was just shy of two weeks early. I labored till 8cm when they finally gave me an epidural. The hardest part was pushing this little guy out! I truly thought I couldn't do it! I had a 2nd degree tear, and had to be on oxygen while pushing. This experience has been the most challenging yet most rewarding one of my life. Thank you ladies for all the support, laughs, and knowledge shared in the past 9 months!
Our little princess made her arrival 1 day before her due date 7/17/15 at 6pm sharp. And exactly one month to the day after her daddy deployed (so thankful for today's technology)- my water broke at 3pm on the dot and she was born exactly three hours later, to say it was a whirlwind would be a understatement.
Our son Silas Augustine was born 7/16/15 at 4:50 pm. Started citotek at 8:10 and only 1.5 cm dilated by 10 I was a two and and dr came and broke my water around 11 or so. I quickly progressed to a 4/5 by 3:30 or so and didn't need any pitocin. I got the epideral And things kinda stalled. I couldn't progress past a 4/5 and baby was having d-cells and my bp was dropping a bit so they gave me something for that. They switched me from my right said to my left side too in hopes that baby would tolerate it better. Well all that switching in a 10 minute period and I waS having pressure. This was about 3:30 or so and my ob was just getting ready to head home and guessed she would be back around 5/5:30. It's a good thing they checked me cause I went from a 4/5 to a 9 in those 10 minutes and right after they started pitocin. Little man didn't want to descend into the canal though and kept his head at a funny angel. For about an hour I was stuck on my one side with a baby that didn't want to drop and kept having d-cels with each contraction. Finally my nurse managed to get me to my hands and knees with the help of another nurse and then she stepped out into the hall to talk to my doctor. She came in and said either baby needed to get into position quickly or we had to have a c section and apparently that was all it took. They had me push through a couple contractions to help get me that last cm and for baby to drop and I was crowning. Doc came in and all I had to do was push through two contractions. He was born with the cord loosely around his neck but came out screaming.
Baby Graham was born on July 17th at 3:19 pm. I was scheduled for an induction because I was 41 weeks and 1 day. Pitocin started at 5 am, water broke at 12 pm, and I pushed 5 times and he was here! He weighs 7 lbs 10 oz and is 20 3/4 inches long.
Donta' raymond jr was born july 16th at 8:03 pm 8 pounds 2 ounces , 22 inches long . 40 weeks and 2 days , i was actually supposed to be induced at 7:30 am that morning but work up at 5:30 am to my water breaking . Im so thankful for him and couldnt possibly love someone more .
Konnor Ronald was born July 7th at 3:22am. Was originally due July 23. We did not know if we were having a boy or girl. He weighed 5.8lbs and was 19inches long.
Sorry this is really late! Aspen was born June 25th at 38w 1 d weighing 7lbs 10oz and 21 inches long. She stayed in the NICU until July 4th. Now she is home and breastfeeds amazingly
