I got a venti iced white mocha Americano at Starbucks and it was disgusting. It ruined my day. I wanted to cry. But we were too far away to take it back. Never getting Starbucks again X(
First, has anyone else used or had someone suggest them use catnip tea to soothe their fussy LO? I'm hesitant about it, but I know my grandma wouldn't suggest it if she thought it could hurt DD.
Secondly, I had a nightmare when I laid down with DD last night. Of all the reasons, it was because the bump app under her 6 week hints/etc told me how BAD cosleeping is and how it increases SIDS risk, etc. It really made me feel bad. Can anyone relate? Co sleeping is the only way I get sleep and I'm always very very cautious about it.
@almakie I'm glad I'm not the only one! We have to sleep somehow and with this horrible grumpy streak DD has had for two weeks, I literally wouldn't sleep at all if she didn't sleep in the bed with me. She's only happy asleep if she's cuddled.
Anyone looking for a very used, screwed up body? My toes on my right foot have been numb for 12 hours now. Know anywhere that does head transplants? I feel like all I do is complain on here but between my boobs and anything else I just want to start over.
TTC: 1/2014
BFP: 9/24
EDD: 6/8/2015
Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

Oh my goodness girl! Hope everything goes back to normal STAT! hugs!
@dancegurl1118 I feel your pain! Between reopening my csection incision, clogged ducts, mastitis and and infection at my incision site I have had something wrong almost the entire 7 weeks since having LO. I have 4.5 weeks left of leave and would love if I could be healthy for 1 of them at least!
I'm home visiting family after going to my best friend's wedding. Baby slept through both plane rides AND the wedding. Hasn't been doing great at night, I think he misses his rock n play, but i'm super proud!
I have never ever been a morning person. I can go to sleep at 9pm and still be struggling to get out of bed any time before noon. That's all changing with this baby though. She's been getting me up consistently at 7 or 8 in the morning. While I'm struggling, I really like all the extra time. Today, however, my parents watched her in the morning and I got to sleep in. I slept until noon thinking I would love it. I actually hate it right now because I feel like the day has gone by way too fast!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to become a morning person?
while at my sisters house, her 9 months old kept bonking his head and crying a lot cause he didnt nap long enough, so while feeding my LO.. i notice that my sweater is soaked, i wonder if LO peed and it leaked on me. but sure enough my nursing pad filled up completely and started leaking because my boob was still trying to put more milk into it. :-L

I'm totally not a morning person.. So I do all the night time feeds breastfeeding .. Until about 4am, turn on some movies all night (there are great programs on cable in the middle of the night like threes company! Lol) then around 4am DH wakes takes over and I go to bed .. It works best for me because I'm a night owl .. However last two nights LO had been asleep from like 11pm to 6 am just eating once.. So if he keeps that up it would be awesome
Two thoughts/questions: bought the seventh generation free and clear diapers BC they were on sale. They are size one which is supposed to cover 8-14lbs, LO IS 10. His pee keeps leaking out the back! Am I putting the diaper on too loose or something? This happened sometimes with our Huggies but he was smaller then.
In related questions: I have a graco pack n play with reversible napper/changer and on of those bassinets that goes the whole length of the pack n play and hangs from thesides. How do you guys clean tthat surface? Between pee through diapers and vomit its crazy stained.

Find something you love about the mornings. Once I feed & get my LO chill/napping, I make my coffee and watch some Today show.
@katyertl@kbbtah I'm currently on my second PP period. 3 weeks apart, with a week of spotting between. I guess the ONE week of not bleeding in the last 10 weeks was nice....

For the full length mattress, I bought a waterproof liner on Amazon and I put that under a sheet. Works perfectly!
@dancegurl1118 I feel ya- LO was born 6/10, we closed on our house 6/26 and moved in 6/28! NEVER AGAIN. Last time we moved into our apt when DD was 1 month old, it was worse this time with 2 and the fact that LO was younger than DD was last time. Apparently my FIL and dad both talked to each other and said I can't have any more kids because they don't want to move us again (especially since I'm basically no use because I'm taking care of babies). It's super hard to move irregardless but especially with babies
This past week I introduced LO to my 96 year old grandmother for the first time. LO is named after her husband of 72 years, who died in September, not long after LO was conceived. Grandma and Grandpa had one of those fairy tale romances, totally in love.
I don't know if I believe in reincarnation, but the connection between Grandma and LO is wild. He will stare and coo at her for 5+ minutes (DH and I get only a minute), he smiles and laughs every time he sees her, and he tracks her movements, watching her whenever she enters or leaves a room. I thought it would be weird for her to call LO by his name, but it's just natural for her, and she chatters away at him.
The whole family is in town, and everyone has remarked how sweet and uncanny their connection is. Makes me tear up.
Baby came 9 weeks early and his baby shower was 3 weeks into his life while in the NICU...he has now been on this earth for 6 weeks tomorrow and I have still yet to finish writing and sending thank you cards...I feel rotten
@kezdk I have been walking by the box of birth announcements on my counter for like a month now. If it's only been 3 weeks since the shower then you are ahead of me. Plus, absolutely everyone will understand. I think you have a year to do it anyway.

Mine was a week late and my baby showers were 5 and 4 weeks before she was born. I haven't started writing thank you cards. If you're rotten, I don't know what I am
Re: Randoms!
Wish me luck!

I'm not sure how this gonna work
Of course when I'm sick and trying to keep touching to a minimum with LO. He's going through witching hours and just wants to snuggle.
