There's a full moon on July 2 I believe. That should get everyone delivered. Lol

I didn't know that, but I keep saying I'm going to go past my due date of 6/27 and deliver 7/2. I really don't think there's anything to the full moon thing, but my mom used to work at an obgyn office and she swears that's when they had the most deliveries.
  • I thought I would try the nice approach on the latest one to see if the thread would die a quick death. Sometimes the flaming is contagious and the thread hangs on forever with white knights coming to save op from her lack of experience.

Though I do love a good flaming....I was just caught in a good mood moment.

That just made me laugh out loud. Everything you said is true. I'm just being fussy. ;)
  • Who is keeping the mucus plug thread alive?

Here's what I don't get.  The "Why so bitter" thread OP has soooooo many likes. If the majority of people on here really feel that way, why do they just stay silent?  They don't want to contribute, but they want to complain about those who do contribute.  Lame.

Some people may believe in the statement, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Or, they may be FTMs who don't have an answer for some of the questions being asked.

Or maybe they want to see a thread die so they ignore it.

Or maybe they are afraid of responding and being made fun of.

    The possibilities are endless.

Your answer implies that I am asking why others don't flame - particularly by starting with the "Golden Rule."  Or your second suggestion implies my question is why aren't more women posting more often.  But what I am asking is, why are these women almost never sharing their own experience with each other, and then turning around to complain about the women who are posting?

Let's look at the Numb Hands example.  Presumably, there are many silent people seeing that thread, watching what is going to happen with it, and staying silent rather than sharing their experience.  Presumably, there are several lurkers who have numb hands.  And rather than offer their experience, even if they are a FTM, they stay silent.

Perfect example: the woman who lost it on me for "calling her out" when I tagged her in a thread that asked her exact same question.  She threw a tantrum, refused to respond to the woman who posted the identical thread, and then CBGB'd.

I am not trying to argue.  I just very genuinely do not understand.  Either participate or don't.  But don't stay silent, then complain about people who speak up.  That is like not voting, then complaining about who is in office.

I disagree with your statement that "liking" one person's post is "complaining."

  • I'm also not trying to argue.

My example is yesterday's "contractions" thread. 3 people replied, and it died. End of story. No mud on that thread.
  • I stick by my original answer, "the possibilities are endless."
