  • Beautiful name, stunning but a word of warning some people may not like it and will give opinions. Try not to take it to heart it's just their opinion :)

Honestly I think of Peyton manning and think wow someone must love him everytime I hear or see the name. It's also insanely trendy and I dislike it on a girl it's very masculine even though it's crazy trendy on girls

  • Congratulations! And I love the name!
  • Love Peyton and the names flow! Rain is very stripper-esque to me. But a huge congrats on a girl! You're going to have so much fun being a girl mom!

  • Congrats! Love the name!
  • Congrats on baby girl! If ours is a girl she will be Adley Raine! That was going to be DS name if he was a girl so it's stuck around for a while!

Aww congrats. :) And such a cute name. We like Zayden for a boy and Jade for a girl. But its still up in the air (edited because auto correct changed Jade to Jane the first time)
  • Congrats!! As long as you like the name, that's all that matters. Honestly I would keep the name to yourself- not because it's not a good name... Because I love it.. But because you may change your mind when people give your their honest opinion.
  • Congrats ladies! I'm having a girl as well and naming her after family members

    Congratulations!!!

We just found out we are having a girl too!!

Not sharing the name with anyone though. We love it, it has a very special family tie, so we don't want any opinions. Once she's here, no one will care anyway.

    You're smart to do this.
    This is our motto too.
It killed out family last time but I didn't want any opinions. I also wanted to meet her before I named her.
Same here. We will find out the sex of the baby and tell everyone but we will keep the name to ourselves!!!

    Peyton is a beautiful name!
  • Our close friends recently had a baby girl and named her Peyton. They get tons of compliments all the time. Their reasoning is that its unisex and respectable. I think it fits their little girl perfectly, so I say go for it! Congratulations.

We aren't going to share our names either like previous posters mentioned because I don't really care about anyone's opinion who doesn't know me personally. We aren't traditional type of people so ours will be unique.

We're supposed to find out gender at 20 week ultrasound which is in 7 weeks but we have an ultrasound tomorrow that was just scheduled today, maybe that will tell? But I want to do a cake with either pink or blue in the middle with just me and hubby rather than finding out at the US. So because it's probably lower accuracy at this stage, I'll probably ask them not to tell me.

Edited to add for girl name, I really like Ansley. We have DS who is Logan bUT there aren't any strong contenders for boy names for me yet.

I like Peyton but it's too popular in my circle.
  • Congrats on the baby girl .. And I love the name!! We are going for a scan today at 13w3d but I feel it would be to early to tell the sex just yet. We are leaning towards Oliver for a boy and Keira Maree for a girl but we are still debating lol
  • Congrats! How far along are you? I'm confused how so many people who are in the Nov 15 group know the gender already.

I think Payton is a great name. It's my 11 year old nieces name and she is the kindest most amazing little lady. For a girl I'm doing Elizabeth Dawn, boy is my husbands choice but he's leaning towards Charles Jon. All names are family names and I could careless what others think of it. Congrats again!

angula06  i've had genetic testing done.
  • What are your thoughts on William Kelley and Bridget Raegan (Reagan)?  Thoughts on the spelling of Raegan would be appreciated too.

  • @kmichell24 thanks. I have mine being done on Friday. I wasn't sure if they could test for gender. What's the accuracy? How long did it take for your results?

I've really been struggling with girl names! We are doing Hudson Neal if it is a boy but girl names are so difficult. I want something different and like Eloise, Presley, Blakely and Willa.
  • We already have an Austin Daniel. We had a boy name picked out but found out yesterday it's a girl. We can't decide on a name. So far we like Zoe and Annabelle which is family name on DH side. I'm thinking Grace for the middle name.
  • @angula06 we had the genetic testing too, the nurse asked me when she took the blood if I wanted to know the sex of the baby, I would suggest at least asking. It sounded like she had to check a box on the form. It took 8 days with a 99% accuracy. It came back negative for everything tested

We're having a boy!! we excited but are now lost on names. Our DD is Zelda so finding something to go with that has been a little hard.
  • @ashleybe how far along are you? I can't wait to find out!

    Duh, Link!
You could even get a little wild and go with Epona or Ocarina...but I guess that would be more if you were having a girl...
Ahhhh I am in such like with you.
There's also Ruto. And Zora. And Malon. For boys Ganon, Talon..
    I love this sooo!

Congrats! I love the name! And if you love it, that's all that matters. We are having a baby boy and he will be named Kiernan Matthew.
  • @mkpinkrains I am 13 weeks! I found out the gender at 12.5 weeks! This is my first baby! I couldn't be more excited!
