Tomorrow I plan to attempt potty training DS1. We are going cold-turkey on diapers (except for nap and bedtime). I hope I can keep my cool and not get impatient with slow progress.

Holy crap you are a brave woman! Keep us posted, I'm curious as to how you are able to do it so early.

Well, LO didn't take a morning nap yesterday, and he's refusing it again today. Maybe we really are shifting to one nap. If we are, please, God, let it be a long one...
My LO has also been refusing her morning nap at daycare- we shall see what she does this weekend!
It was a bust for us. He slept for 30 minutes and then woke screaming. And I managed to rock/nurse some sleep out of him for another 30 minutes, but it could be a long afternoon. I'd be curious to hear how things develop for you and your LO this weekend!
She ended up taking an hour morning nap today! Little weirdo! We shall see what happens this weekend!

Good luck! How old is DS1? We were really lucky with DD in the potty training dept. We went cold turkey too. We had a few potties around the house, clothes that were easy to remove, basically stayed home for an entire long weekend and set the timer to have her try every 45 mins. It went well and we didn't have to turn back or anything, but even a year later accidents are not uncommon.
Oops, just caught that you said DS1, not the A14 baby...I was about to feel horribly inadequate for a minute there. Still think you're brave though! Carry on.

He is 2 1/2. Our plan is exactly what you did. Unfortunately, he has already peed in his pants. The unfortunate part is that he did not care at all. I was hopeful that he would not like feeling wet.
Those of you with bad credit, pay off the stuff in collections, and get it removed. I had to help my H when we were trying to buy our house. His credit was so bad he was not eligible for bank loans (without a cosigner). After fixing the stuff in collections, it took only 3 months for his credit to get to a tolerable level. A year after that his credit score was over 700 (which all the banks I deal with consider great).
This is was our situation exactly. He now has slightly better credit than me!
Our house has been on the market since September 2014. We have had a lot of interest, but no offers. We got out first offer two days ago for full price!! But, DH doesn't want to sell our house before we have somewhere else to go; so long story short, our counter offer was declined. I get that hubs doesn't want to rent or move in temporarily with my mom. I'm just bummed that I can't convince him to sell and rent/live with my mom until we find something. Mrrrrrrrrr. Ps. Trying to show a house a few times a week with an infant who still takes two naps and two dogs is only driving me slightly crazy.
Oh, @twohunts. My sympathies! We were thinking of trying to sell our house, but the logistics of selling one and then buying another are so tricky! I kept saying how much I wished we had a parent we could live with temporarily. Seems like that solves so many of the logistics issues. Sorry your DH isn't up for it..:
JWest07 good luck with the potty training! We just went through all that (well we still do pull ups at bedtime because I got sick of washing sheets and doing jammie changes almost every night). DS was just over 2.5 when he pretty much trained himself. We had the little potty out pretty much since his he turned 2 and didn't make a big deal about it, just let him sit on it when he wanted and praised when he did go on it. He seemed to get a lot more interested and was telling us he wanted to go on the potty at like 2 years 7-8 months.
We took one week that every night when we got home he would just go bottomless until bedtime then just underwear on that weekend and he had like 2 accidents the whole week. Then it was pretty much it. I couldn't believe how easy it was once he was ready to do it on his terms. It was like a light switch, he went from not much interest (and would tell us when he was peeing in his diaper and then ask to be changed) to just going on the potty. I
Try not to drive yourself too crazy while training your DS. If he doesn't really seem ready or interested try again in like a month maybe? Good luck!
@twohunts a couple of years back we sold our place with a 60-day closing and no new house lined up... It got to the point where I was looking at houses without DH because he couldn't take all that time off work. I found our current house and it was empty, they gave us a 30-day closing and it all worked out! Although I had no life that month with all the packing...
Our laundry room is a poorly built addition off the kitchen, and the pipes are frozen in there. I had two loads of laundry lined up for today. I ended up hand washing a few of LO's things just in case of a poop explosion. Last time it was a few days before the pipes thawed. Guess I'm going to be a dirtbag for awhile!
Damn it. I called and they said they cant actually remove it from the collections portion of my credit report. It shows as being closed and paid, but its still listed under collections.

Yall. I can't even express my hatred for Mardi Gras right now. I'm trying to go to the store and there's a random ass parade rolling through the middle of town. Get out of my way! I need cookies dammit!
Poor LO is sick today. One exorcist puke session this morning and a major bath-requiring poopsplosion. And a 3 year who has now watched far too much tv today already.

Blergh. But good for you for calling! Is this the sort of thing a squeaky wheel can have an effect on?
It didn't sound like it I guess I just have to wait for it to come off? No idea how long that takes.
Keep after them. Next time you call, ask for a supervisor. We had three medical collections on H's credit and eventually we got them removed. You could also ask them to make sure they're marking it "paid in full." We were paying things off and it wasn't reflecting the payment at all.
It does show "paid" and "closed" on the accounts at least
Oh, well that's good. It will help your credit slightly now that it's paid off. I don't remember how long it takes for collections accts to no longer show though.
@LolaX2 thank you! Today dud NOT go well. I don't think he understands how to empty his bladder. We had gone through all 12 pairs of underpants by noon. He did get so we caught some pee a couple times after he started wetting his pants, but that was as close as we got to success. If he doesn't show a greater understanding by the end of tomorrow I think we will call it quits and try again at the end of next month.
@yellowflower15 I hope your LO gets better soon and that no one else in your house gets it. Also, a day with extra screen time is expected when you have a sick one to care for.
For those of you who got your period back fairly quickly post partum, are they regular yet? How long did it take for them to get fairly regular and predictable? My cycle gradually got longer post partum, and it's now 5 days longer than before. And it looks like it's going to go even longer. I'm at day 38 of my cycle with no period yet. Is it even normal to have cycles that long?
@oliveoyl2014 Mine came back at 6 months and have been regular since then. I believe if you are BF'ing they would not be regular if the baby were waking more often to eat at night.
Are you concerned about anything? Have you chatted with your Gyn?

@JWest07 , your post about fixing your husband's credit gives me hope, thanks!
@talltrees82 , I am about to call right now!

I think I might prefer a parade to being rerouted on my way to work because part of a highway is an iceskating rink and has been closed.
