My relationship with Fi in the evenings is more and more like that of a waiter and @Springs1 every day. Mad if I'm walking in, mad if I'm walking out, heaven forbid she sees me pumping...
Well did you at least LOOK to see if the bacon was crispy?

I'm calling the search for child care over. I've exhausted all my resources. There is no such thing as affordable night childcare. $15-20 is rediciuos and would only leave me with a few hundred left out of my paycheck when all is said and done. Don't expected to get paid that much when a child is sleeping. I'm not asking for housekeeping, gourmet meals, or early education. I'm not even asking you to stay up all night and stare at my kids! So when DH goes back to work sometime this month I'll have to quit this hospital. I'll look for a job closer to home on day shift. But since I'll be a new employee I'll never get selected for a day shift position. Maybe I should start offering night sitting services?
I'm a nurse too and have also seriously considered offering night time childcare services! It's so hard to arrange work when you don't have family you can rely on.
@RedDawnsRevenge you could move where I am and we could alternate night shifts and childcare only partially kidding of course. I am running into the same problem and only work the bare min required as a pool employee to work when DH is home and off, which is every third week.
At this point, that's my last hope. I've been told there's a med-surg nurse with a new baby and a husband about to deploy. If some how we could work opposite days and trade childcare that would be awesome.
What idiot decided what constitutes a panhandle for states? Connecticut gets one? West Virginia gets two (what stupid pan has two handles anyways)?! But Virginia get none? Nebraska has one, but Utah doesn't make the cut? Texas, really? Come on, TX is not pan shaped except that Texans probably made damn TX shaped pans.
DH thinks you should imagine the states as pans viewed from above (giving the win to AK). I've always seen a side view (making OK the only legit option, maybe ID and FL if you count oddly shaped pots). What say you, A14?
@mamrotu73 I see side view. OK and FL are the only ones I automatically think of when I think panhandle. FL probably makes sense because I grew up here and was taught early on that it is a pan handle.

I agree 100% - FL and OK are the only states with panhandles!
DH brought a cliff bar to bed after saying he wasn't hungry while I was bitching about being hungry but out of calories... I may have just stolen half his cliff bar and shoved it in my mouth so he couldn't steal it back.
DD was just playing on the ground next to me, crawled full speed at me and faceplanted into my chest (I was laying down), then turned around and crawled back to her toys. Little weirdo :-D

Old man at Costco asked me if the girls were twins. WTAF? /:) me and DH got a good laugh out of that.
That used to happen to us too! Our older girls are 2 years apart!
I was really biting my tongue. I mean the girls look a lot alike. Their earlier pictures are identical. But twins there then sitting next to each other? No

A furniture salesman once asked if DS1 and his cousin were twins when my mom and I were pushing them in strollers. They are nine months apart in age, however my son is blonde, blue eyes and the palest white possible, his skin looks like it's never met the sun. My sister's daughter is brown eyes and she's mixed, my sister is white her DH black. My mom and I just looked at him like he was crazy and told him they were opposite twins. Boy/girl, opposite eye, hair and skin color.
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
Just because my son told me no offense mom but I wish you were born in Boston. (
Edit he was born there.
What is this gibberish you speak?
I is confuzzled - what the heck is a panhandle???
