So, I had been thinking about doing this soon and seeing it come up today in a few threads, I see I'm not the only one feeling it is time. I'm happy to spearhead the project, but I think we should first as a group decide what sort of qualifications we are looking for for an individual to join our FB group. So please make your recommendations here and lets hash out what we want to do. I wouldn't want to block out long time lurkers from joining us, but I know people have said they would only be comfortable if we accepted folks with a certain number of posts, or replies vs. Starting threads, or at least having been joined for X amount of time.
I'd love for us to decide as a group how we would like that to go.
Maybe this is mean but I don't have a problem excluding lurkers, even if they have been lurking for a long time. If they aren't participating here (even a tiny bit), then why would they join in on FB? I think that just opens us up to creepers.
I think someone having been a member for at least 2 or 3 months and 500 Love-its (maybe 250) might be a good start. 250 wouldn't be too difficult to get to I don't think. Exceptions could be made on an individual basis, up to the mod/admin.
Would someone who is completely a lurker (ie, no posts, comments) although they have been on TB be a good member for the FB group if they aren't even minimally active here?
I'm with @cafecreme as well as @katydid2014 - I think there should be a standard time limit to start and then questionables can be admitted on a case by case basis maybe?
I like the quota of love-its & posts rules. I don't want lurkers. I care about the regs & value their opinions.
Eta: IA it's actually easy to say who should definitely be "in" -- so maybe quotas wouldn't be necessary at all. Maybe there should just be a post where you say "I want to join" & if you get 20 love-its, you're in. (I figure regs will be giving majority of love its) And the FB moderator has to agree/recognize you, too. Then we'd all have to go in to love-it & we'd see everyone we were allowing in. ...maybe it's too labor intensive... Idk! How do other groups do this? I just don't want creepers or people I don't "know."
I don't have a huge issue with partial lurkers (for lack of a better term?). People who don't post often, but read/love frequently. But people who o my ever start their own threads & never reply/offer support...why bother?
Not sure how much my opinion matters, but I agree with @katydid2014. I've been super wary of sharing too much, but I really do want to get to know people better and it's easy for me to be more active on FB I think. Not sure if that makes sense or not...
As of now, we have myself, @Peledreamsofrain , and our lovely moaster @ToasterCat for admins. Please feel free to let me know if you think that isn't enough admins or if you don't like one of us sexay gals for the job. Or, you know, you can PM me about it...or one of them if your issue is me.

I agree with this. I don't post a ton, but I do post and love tit when I can. I think a specific number of posts/love tits is kind of exclusionary, and who gets to decide how many is enough? We don't really want people posting or love titing stuff just to get high numbers so they can join. I think quality of posts is far more important, so maybe the mod/admins of the facebook group can just have executive decision over that.
Hmmm this is really hard.
----------- Well, a suggestion was made if admins know the person. I know you. And @lynndavid6912 . So obviously an active member can be defined in a lot of ways...
I understand someone being a lurker here on TB. There's a wealth of information and maybe some people are content to just read. But to then want in on a FB group? That's where it gets weird to me. I look at moving on to FB as a way to get to know people better, those who I've gotten to know somewhat already. A continuation, if you will. Honestly, I would side-eye any lurker than wanted in on that.

Yikes. 150 people? There's no way we have 150 active posters here
IMO it's very easy to tell who is active and who isn't. And yes I still think people who need to take breaks or work a lot but still come back to post when they can are active. There's no place for lurkers in a FB group.
How could anyone not love you three???
To clarify, can people in the group access our facebook profiles or just see our names?
I think they can see any public information you have in your profile.
If anyone isn't sure what is public on their profile, there's a way to see what the public sees when they try to access your profile.
Go to your profile, and in the bottom right corner of your cover pic, there is a button with three dots. Click on that, and you'll see an option that says, "View as..." If you click that, you'll see what your profile looks like to the public.
I think a FB group is a great idea at this point, I also agree with others about no lurkers. I think the point of the fb group is to be active, if you're not active why would you be on fb.
I agree with some of the regulars who aren't AS active, like myself. I read, I post when I can and I love tit. I doubt there will be many lurker only types trying to join an fb page. Idk...maybe they are weird enough they'd really want to!
I know I haven't been around as much lately, but I would love to be in on the Facebook group. FB is easier for me to be active on. Though I have been super busy lately.
I feel like it's most of the people here that felt comfortable enough to make a suggestion (I know there are other regs who haven't posted on this thread yet).
I was active in first tri and lurked most of second tri but I'd love to join fb. It's easier to keep up with. This app burns through my battery so damn quick I turn it off a lot.....and my laptop went to electronic graveyard in second tri. Eh, I don't envy the decision makers on all this.

Agree. I'm not a poster but I comment a good bit and love tit. (Also hoping at this point everyone isn't like- who is this chic )
I think ultimately it will be pretty obvious, especially to the 3 admins that will be running the page, who is a lurker or active member. You 3 ladies (freckles, moaster, pele) have been around since the beginning and have always (in my humble opinion) had a good pulse on our group.

Ditto. I post when I feel I can actually contribute something, which isn't a whole lot sometimes.
Count me as a "weird lurker", but I would like to be part of a Facebook group... I give out tons of love tits as support because I try not to muddle posts if I just agree with someone. Also, I try to only reply to things if I am certain I can contribute the right way - I would hate to give someone wrong information.
I think the reason (as a mostly lurker) I would want to be part of the Facebook group is because I feel like I trust and respect this community's opinion and support as a whole. Additionally, as a member of the group, I would contribute when I could give accurate information.
If I'm coming off as creepy - that's not my intention and I'm sorry!

She is such a slore. Wants to abuse power and grow her harem.
Teehee! I even bought an extra short skirt for the occasion!

I'm pretty much okay with any reg's the mods recognize. I'm not okay with lurkers who've never been active on the board though.
