Yeah I just... If I don't recognize a screen name, it's hard to want to share my real name & photos with that person. Or to care about theirs. Idk. Not trying to be a bitch.
The only other thing I will bring up is the way by which we would request to join. Not to give you dirty lurkers any ideas, but if something is posted publicly here in a sticky for who to contact on fb to join then a lurker could pretend to be a reg on fb with a fake profile. That seems like a lot of effort to go through just to join a fb birth group but then again you can't rationalize why crazy people do crazy things.
Maybe those who have done this in the past have a good idea for how to prevent that from happening. Maybe when you request to join the fb group you also have to PM one of the admins on the bump so they know you are who you say you are? I feel like I'm rambling but maybe that makes sense.
I agree im okay with excluding lurkers. If they dont contribute then what purpose does a facebook group serve them? They can lurk all the baby topics on the board, but they dont need to know anyones personal info.

I'm excited for a FB group! I wouldn't say I'm a super active poster but stop by here many times a day even keeping up with the randoms most days... I've been around since the beginning of the board back in June, so I hope to make the cut! I think having admins make decisions on those allowed in the FB group by recognition is a good strategy.
I think, at this point, the ladies who have participated in this thread have all been regs. I recognize everyone's SN (I think). My fb profile is locked down to show only my profile pic and name.
I will also admit that I'm going to have a huge problem remembering which SN gets attached to which fb name!
One thing we could do is have a doc on the group where we have bump sns and fb names matched. We did this when we first started my D12 FB group and I feel like it was a huge help in figuring out who everyone was initially.
@EmpireRecords24 If you click on your name on any post you have made it will show you your mobile profile and list your love-its count. If you click on the love-its count it will show what posts you received love-its on.
I think a FB group would be nice now that we've been here for about 5-6 months. I definetly would feel more comfortable sharing pics and whatnot in a private FB group than on here. I'd still use TB just not always too comfortable posting certain things.
Since I'm strictly bumping mobile till my laptop is fixed I have no idea how to check my stats as far as love it's, comments, and thread starts I've made. So if I "qualify" I'd love to merge over to FB with you ladies

Man, between Labor Buddies and Facebook groups, I can barely keep up today. I also trust the FB mods to keep the lurkers/ransoms out. If the FB mods are willing, when a reg asks to join the FB group, they PM a mod with their FB name who can match them to their FB name and approve. Is that how it will work?

That always takes time. But we'll start with a doc where we can put our TB SNs. The first couple of months tend to be a shit ton of GTKYs and stuff. Then as the years pass...TB SNs sort of melt away and aren't uber important
I sure do hope to make the cut. Other than support, I've not had much to offer as a first time, ridiculously clueless mom. I learn new things every day when I check in here. But either way I'm thankful for what I've learned here. this has all happened SO fast. Time is flying by.
I'm in for a facebook group. I trust the admins to make decisions on who's in and out. I like Katydid's idea of saying no for now, letting them be more active here before getting onto fb. I agree posters need to be active enough to know, no creeper lurkers/drivebys when personal info is involved.
I'm personally much more active on Facebook than I am on the bump just because I'm on it all day long and it's so much easier to post on mobile. I also love my Facebook group from my daughter's BMB and consider the ladies to be good friends at this point. That being said, I doubt I make the cut if there are quotas, etc. I would be sad about that.
Ok, as of now, we have three admins. @Peledreamsofrain , @toastercat and myself. You can PM any of us through TB to request admission to the FB group. From what I can tell, and past experience, you'll need to send us a link to your FB and will have to friend request us or we'll have to friend request you in order to add you to the group. You can then de-friend us if you're not that into us... or we can de-friend you if we're not that into you Just saying you are not obligated to stay friends with an admin once in the group but have to be friends with an admin to join the group.
You do NOT need to PM all three of us. Choose whichever of us makes your heart pitter patter the most. Or just choose at random...
IME this will create quite a flood of requests so it might take time for people to get added. I promise we'll get back to you ASAP. Keep an eye on your PMs, we will message you back once we've added you OR we will message you back if we can't locate you on FB and need some further assistance getting you added.
I'm way more active on FB then the bump and would love to be in that group. I know I'm not a lurker but I've only ever started my introduction thread and am deff not around a ton. Hopefully I can figure out how to link my FB profile and PM to a admin.

I'm interested and pretty much feel the same as the majority of PPs regarding lurkers and drive bys. I haven't been active on the daily like I used to due to life seriously kicking my ass recently but still try to post when I have something to contribute.

I have been able to catch up since I've been on break, but it have a feeling no one would recognize me anymore, which is my fault. Either way, I didn't join FB from my last BMB, which I regret. However, I'm a little paranoid about the crazies (which I'm also very well aware that as a semi-lurker I look like I could be). Question....things seem much tamer around here than they were a while ago. Have most of the crazies left? Just curious.
