@lioness13 your friends have had a string of some nasty luck in the past few months. I hope this is the end of that time period and you get flooded with good news soon!!
@lioness13 - that's so rough. I agree with @hellooldfriend and @steamboat123 - it's been a rough year for you, I hope things start looking a bit brighter.
Thanks for your support girls. I was just saying to DH that I feel like I am constantly grieving. As soon as I start to feel a little lighter something else weighs me down. And I grind my teeth when I'm stressed and depressed. My jaw hurts every morning. I know this is will all pass. I just wish I could do something about it.
@megsw85 I wouldn't sweat it, especially if you do have some knowledge of French. They start out so basic that you will pick it back up along with him as he's learning. I'm happy to hear people are sticking with French immersion in AB. It's such a great program but it was really starting to dwindle for a while there with a lot of parents thinking it wasn't a good or necessary program to have. I know around here the numbers took a big hit a few years ago. I hope they are on their way back up now.
@megaroo64 her name spelled correctly would be Cadence. Beautiful name that my sister should have left alone lol.
@mcbush have you tried designating a special toy that she only gets to have during diaper changes? I give Jameson a Spider-Man action figure when I lay him down and he now knows that when I pick him up the toy has to be put back. It helps tremendously with keeping him still.
@megsw85 and @daffy2k I thing being bilingual is such a great asset. My only worry with would be making sure their English skills don't suffer. My Uncle is so pissed with the poor quality of his daughter's Engligh education in Quebec (obviously different story).
There's a fun debate that's been going several days on the 3rd tri board. I keep checking in, typing responses, and then deleting them because I don't want to go up against the "bump heavyweights". I honestly could stand with both sides of the argument, but the trouble maker in me wants to WK just for fun. Can you tell I'm bored?
@Mommycoffee I promise I won't leave y'all guessing when it's time! I'll be starting a new thread with live bumping going on throughout labor. Hoping it helps pass the time
@TheTamedShrew - is it the epidural versus natural debate? I'm always up for reading some fun debate!
I was supposed to go grocery shopping on my lunch break. I started reading this instead. Then I followed the rabbit hole to a post where someone didn't want to get a 20wk a/s because ultrasounds are evil. Time to close TB and do work.
@cl8badb I hope J feels better soon. Grayson is really sick right now with a runny nose, cough, and fever All the sick babies need to get better!! It's almost Christmas time!!
Too lazy to scroll back up (sorry) but I got size 5 Xmas diapers at Target last week. They only come in the small packs though, so they're more expensive and the regular ones (but oh so cute!)
@LimaBeanMOM I'd bring a pen to take notes. I didn't need to bring a doll when I went to my class, but they didn't tell us to. Did they tell you to?
Also, remember that you'll have a lot of support and a wealth of knowledge here! We will help in any way you need, and between all of us Id bet we' re experienced all the problems . And will support you no matter how it goes!
@limabeanmom - I kept a lot of info in my phone instead of on paper for breastfeeding that way I was guaranteed to have it with me when I needed to reference it. So you may want to transfer your paper notes later or just put them in your phone.
Also you could use a small pillow like an airplane pillow or bolster pillow instead. Its probably needed to use to practice positions. If they don't talk about it, ask about side lying nursing. That was my favorite nursing position! Its the best!
Need to share my happy dance with you B's. Just got this e-mail from one of the people I interviewed with last month:
We found someone for the position at *company*, however I really enjoyed
meeting with you and so wanted to share another opportunity with you.
It’s working as a marketing coordinator - client side at *their biggest client*. So in fact, we would be working together after all!
Let me know if this interests you and I’ll share your resume with my client.
I'm so happy since it sounds like an amazing job opportunity and it means that even if she didn't hire me she thinks I'm good enough to suggest to her client. I feel like having someone personally recommend me is a great opportunity. I'm trying to decide if I should prepare a separate resume & cover letter and send it to her, or just let her forward the one she has on file. It would feel weird writing a cover letter for a job I don't know much about, but that's probably the correct thing to do.
@momofcatan, I'm a few pages behind so just catching up here. Did your uncle's kids go to French school in Quebec or were they in an English or French Immersion program? I know the system over there is pretty messed up, I'm just curious which side they received the poor English Ed on...
Speaking of McDonalds, I saw a sign yesterday that they have a new menu and lower prices for their entrees.
Since when is a Big Mac an entree?
McDonalds had a "steep fall in sales" according to all the financial reports, and so they're trying to shake things up. Their sales have steadily declined for quite some time now.
My work bathroom has the brown bags. I appreciate it bc you never open the little trash can and see a nasty feminine product. We share a bathroom with our clients and it seems to work well.
We had the brown bags at a small charter school I used to work at and it sucked. We shared the bathroom with students and they never understood the system. You would often run in to a pretty disgusting surprise when you were going for one of those brown bags.
Prayers going out for all the sick kiddos, and big hugs to all the mamas nursing sick kids. Sickness is never fun, but around the holidays just makes it that much tougher. Hopefully everyone is on the mend and back to normal by Christmas.

@riansmommie - your new niece is adorable. The name-- well--- that's different. How is it pronounced?
@mcbush have you tried designating a special toy that she only gets to have during diaper changes? I give Jameson a Spider-Man action figure when I lay him down and he now knows that when I pick him up the toy has to be put back. It helps tremendously with keeping him still.
