@Mamasaurus‌ The anesthesiologist was concerned when she heard about the aspirin, but then she pulled my labs and since my platelets are 186k, she was fine to go forward. So I have the epidural in and it feels super, super weird to be so numb, but I don't feel a bit of pain. I'm still 3cm, so now that I'm numb they're going to amp up the pitocin. The doctor also "stretched" my cervix, whatever that means, so that's supposed to help too.

Typically a contraction will build up to a peak, like it's most painful point, and then subside. Mine were peaking twice, so it would build up, get to a super painful peak, start to subside, then build up to the painful peak again, and then finally go away for good, at least until the next one.

Oh gosh! The whole "stretching" thought just made me cringe!! I'm so not looking forward to labour one bit! But glad you are frozen!!

I had an epi with my first and unfortunately for me I could still feel everything (but the edge was taken off) but there are definitely still some sensations that I have not forgotten!! I do not do well with ppl touching my lady bits at all...checking, stretching, stitching ...oh man I need a drink lol

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I didn't go through that with DD, or i don't remember because it all happened so fast. I'm happy you got the epidural and I hope the stretching works some magic!

I was actually referring to the analysis regarding your doctors decisions from everyone. I do think it odd and unnecessary to give a play by play BUT it's a public forum and we are both free to post whatever so carry on.

I don't need your permission, and your opinion about it being "odd" and "unnecessary" is relevant only to you. I'm posting because many have expressed interest in it, so I have no issue sharing, especially for the other FTM's who are curious about the experience. It doesn't matter what I post about, you will find something to criticize and needle me over. I'll be putting you on block as I have more important things to worry about than your petty behavior. I recommend you block me as well since I bother you so much.

Anesthesiologists work under their own licenses and get to make their own decisions. There is no law that says anyone on anticoags cant have an epidural. Just sayin' even "common practice" has exceptions.... NL probably would not have stopped BA prior to CS either.

Holy moly that was a lot of reading to catch up.

But now I want more updates lol selfish I know but I woke up hoping for some cute little pictures of this wild child baby girl who cause one of the bumps "Bad Girls" so much pain! But I'm hoping you're just recovering and bonding with that precious baby and you both are fine and no longer in any pain or health concerns. Much love and anxiousness !

Laurel Olivia is here, born at 6:32am, 6lbs 9oz, 20 inches and totally healthy. I will update more when I feel up to it, I've had a moderately heavy PPH.
