I don't think my child will ever get this sleep thing down. I'm so exhausted. The past few nights have been exceptionally tough. We tried Feber tonight and it was awful. When he actually did calm down and fall asleep, he would wake up 20 min later so we'd start again. I gave up after four hours of that nonsense. Maybe he's just not ready?
DH is fast asleep and snoring HARD. It's probably going to keep me up for a while but I'm really gassy. He has no idea how much im farting right now. Right next to him.
Aw man, @MrsStanton87, even if that's true, your mom shoulda lied! /:)
I really do think it happens to just about every kiddo. If it's not a baby rolling off the couch or the bed, it's a toddler touching the hot barbecue or wood stove when mom turns her back for a split second. *hugs*
Yeah - stuff happens! I think everyone has at least one not so fine parenting moment they are embarrassed about. We managed to get this super proud parenting moment on camera - Evan touching a hot metal plate while I was taking a picture of him with his daddy. Realized as I clicked the picture what was happening. Luckily it was so quick he didn't get a burn, but boy did he cry

I just woke up at 7:30 ON MY OWN! Ahhhhh this is amazing. Q is starting to stir now, can't believe he slept 7:15-7:40. Thank you baby Jesus.
Those of you that have the Poco whatever thing @macgrs and @CalinAZ, what weight/age can you use that up until? That looks like something my husband would love to use.
We don't have a poco but we have a hiking one that is good to 40 lbs, we used it to hike with Finn last summer.
I'm pissed at DH. He doubts and undermines all of the feeding decisions that I make with B, like letting her have pieces of solids, teething biscuits etc. I'm a freaken speech-language pathologist. I diagnose and treat feeding and swallowing disorders (when I'm not in the school setting) for infants through adults. I get paid to make feeding decisions for other people and he doesn't think what I feed her is "safe".
@Ooopsbaby14 I told DH a week ago tgat we needed to move the dog food, he disagreed so it stayed. Yesterday we were in the bathroom with DS1 dealing with a potty training mess, I come out and G is in the dog food. I clear his mouth out and pick him up and he starts choking! He swallowed a piece of dog food and it was stuck! So after I saved him, the dog food was put up and my dogs can't graze anymore
@Dani-California - it's surprisingly light, just under 7 lbs (well, that sounds light to me, I'm not sure about shipping wise...). I'd imagine Canada must have some really good hiking packs - aren't a lot of Canadians super outdoorsy? Such pretty nature up there! Though I suppose you do have Grizzlies. That would probably end any outdoor desires I might have.
@celticlullaby - so sorry your little one (and you) just can't seem to catch a break. Hope you can figure out what's wrong soon and get him on the road to recovery!

I feel so bad when I have to desnot DDs nose. She screams like I am killing her but is such a happy baby when I am done and she can breath to eat. It almost makes me cry everytime
Then Eisenhower med center called asking why I wasn't at work. I was supposed to start with them in October but my recruiter was an idiot and never got back with me. Well I guess I randomly I got put on the schedule even though I don't have a contract with them. Weirdest conversation ever...
DD's letter to Santa asks for four toys. 3 of which are "hot" toys. One of them is out of stock permanently for the holiday season, so I had to fight tooth and nail for it on eBay. I decided on a wooden push cart with activities similar to the zany zoo, instead of actually getting the zany zoo. I'm almost done. #:-S
@celticlullaby I'm so sorry Poor little one! I'd definitely take him in as soon as he wakes up. Do you do Tylenol at all? That would be the time I'd give some for pain. (we've dealt with a lot of ear infections...)
2.5k? I am in the wrong business. Or your house is giant.
Lol it's an average sized house, I think. Might as well be the White House with that quote!
My house is 852sqft this is average here, but many farm houses are smaller. But on the high end behind Walmart my friend just sold his house, and it's 4,500sqft.
I feel like such a bad buddy I can't order anything until my debit card comes in the mail. Freaking Home Depot ruins everything. And my bank. They Suck too. I just have my gift sitting in my cart
I just had the realization that my sister getting married. Means I have to knit another stocking. Or I could be a bitch and make her knot her own. After all G'ma showed her how to knit and I had to teach my self with DHs help. I agree with DH that if the roles were reversed Kate wouldn't knit one for me.
We got free lunch because we had to wait entirely too long for our food to come out! Basically everyone who got there after we did got their food before us. Woohoo! And they gave us extra [wings]!
Also I bought my buddy's gift today! Sending it out tomorrow. Yay!

So the crib transition is going terribly. He screams as soon as I put him down. He has no self soothing skills. I feel like I've failed him and he will be a bad sleeper forever.
Sorry. It was the same for us with the PNP. I gave up quickly and tried again in a few weeks. It took a couple of nights, but now she sleeps just as well (bad?) as she did in her sleeper (RNP equivalent) before she started trying to roll over in it. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to get too discouraged! I don't know if you'd be comfortable doing this, but maybe you could try putting a piece of clothing you've been wearing all day in with him. I figured out that Edolie sleeps better on her side, so I rolled up a heavy small quilt that way she could lean her back against it. Not sure if I'm being of any help, but I just can empathize so much and want it to get better for y'all!

So behind on posts today... Hugs and good thoughts to those who need them. I spent the day in the ER today after spending the night vomiting every hour and not able to keep anything down. Was so dehydrated and needed fluids. DH has had DD all day and has been so amazing! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.
Oh honey! That sounds awful. I hope you're feeling better.
@celticlullaby Do you have any sources on self-soothing? I know you talked with me about it when I was at a low point and considering sleep training (haven't done it yet!). Edolie gives my husband a hard time when trying to put her down (not for naps, just bedtime for some reason). He gets frustrated and really wants to start sleep training over Christmas break. I'd rather put it off when she's closer to a year if she even needs it then. Also, I'd love to shove some statistics and facts in MIL's face because there are times when it's completely irrelevant, and she'll passive aggressively talk about how Edolie "rules the roost" and she's the queen of the house at bedtime and blah blah blah. Irritates me so much.

Thanks guys! It is kinda painful, mainly my back. I will call tomorrow. I have that pgal brain which makes me not want to call, but I know I should. Unfortunately, it was three years ago on Wednesday that I miscarried, so I'm always overly emotional and stressed this time of the year. I think that has a lot to do with it.
Whoops. I was supposed to be sleeping. G'night RTT!
lol Right after I posted my question to you, I read your post before mine and was like, "Darn! I guess I won't get an answer 'til tomorrow." So I'm glad you answered me! Thanks.
Anyway, my attitude before wasn't that I felt that I was supposed to do it, but I felt like I had no other options because I was stressed to the max, exhausted and overwhelmed. I also knew that sleep training at the earliest is typically recommended at 6 months, so maybe I had came off how you originally thought I was feeling/thinking? I don't know. But it's much much better now. I can usually get her down within 20-30 minutes, and 6 times out of 10 she'll stay asleep until she needs/wants to eat again. Before, it took 1-2 hours, and she would wake up 2-4 times before she needed to eat again. Tonight I heard her stirring and went in there to calm her, but I didn't need to. I just thought I did. I sat there and watched her for about 5 minutes or so, and she startled and opened her eyes 3 different times but immediately went back to sleep. I was so happy I was there to see that because it gave me hope that it really is getting better.

Also, DS decided to stand up in his crib today. He was so proud of himself!
And like pps said @kseccomb17, it doesn't hurt to call!
