He stormed out of the house around 8 last night in a fit on his way to confront her. My mom informed me that MIL never RSVPd for the gala and has yet to return multiple phone calls and messages. We think that since she couldn't bring her 40 guests she boycott. So I told DH, and since then he has been trying to reach her (I've even called). Apparently she is ignoring all of us and upset because no one asked her to help do anything for the baby. Huh!??

She wants attention and to be begged for help. She needs to feel like you need her. I swear this lady is crazy. DH is beyond pissed and told her not to be mad when Dolce calls his fathers wife (MILs ex husbands new wife) grandma. Well that really sent her into a rage. He doesn't want anything to do with her anymore.

All I know is, I am so uneasy with the thought of her being alone with my child. And by alone I mean not in my presence. I don't think I will ever be okay with her around the baby. Gosh!! I just want some normalcy.

That is a crazy situation! I wish she realized this shower is about you & not her!!

Question for all you momma's: NOT asking you to diagnose me (bc, I know we're all licensed physicians here!) I have a constant numbness/pain on underneath my rib cage on my right hand side... I'm going to the Dr. on Friday so I'll be sure to bring it up then but I didn't know if anyone else had experienced this previously (either now or in a previous pregnancy)..?

@Lizzybean, thanks-- I think the anticipation of MIL's arrival is more stressful than the actual week. At least, let's hope. @mahalo3, thanks & good luck to you, too. Mine doesn't really cook, so there won't be much helping unless I can enlist DH.

I got the supersoft cropped leggings at gap, but the full panel ones are comfy, too (I tried them on). These just worked better for me. You totally should get them! I'm in the market for some skinny jeans to wear with my boots. It's too cold to just do leggings and boots right now!

Also, FIRST WATCH! DH takes me there every time we're in Tampa, and we're hardcore Floridian French Toast fans, too. I always get a side of bacon with it

As an update I found out at the hospital that I was still dehydrated from before when i had the stomach virus and was dehydrated. Dh acted like an ass for about an hour then came back to the room. I don't think the nurses where too impressed with him since they kind of gave him the stink eye after he came back. I'm sure they heard the way he acted.

And monday someone mentioned going to counseling. DH refuses to go. I've asked him for over a year to see a counsler with me because we cant work through the issues we have together and he still refuses.

2 classes cancelled today! Whoop! So I decided to finally go change my drivers license. After a very cheeky man did my eye exam (I had a little trouble but there was no need to continually call me Helen from that point on) I went in to do everything else and apparently I needed proof of new address... No biggie they said I can run to the post office and fill out my change of address and come back... So I did... (There may have been a stop at Micky Ds for some fries. Whatevs) and I go back in to the DMV and guess what? That won't work. So I'll be back next week assuming I get the confirmation in the mail from the post office.

A pan? I say this as someone who has a glucose test tomorrow and ate a cinnamon roll for breakfast, had a large chocolate shake at lunch, and a brownie in the afternoon. All week I planned to be really good today and then failed misrably at it. I blame having to drop DH at the airport and I won't see him for a week (he's running a race this weekend) until I join him for our last hurrah before the baby comes.

I do think a pan would be too many. Good thinking.

@Alygohome‌ I'm American, went to McGill, and married a Canadian. DH grew up in the same town as the first Canadian bachelor and knew his older siblings, so we watched that one for all of the giggles.
