Anybody went for their LO's first hair cut yet? I'm holding off as long as I can, but DS's is starting to get a little long over his ears.
My boy is super fuzzy and my siblings keep bugging me about it, my sister keeps asking me to let her fix it (she does mine, hers, dad's and both bros so she's good).
I know it's due but I'm irrationally attached and the idea of cutting it feels like aknowledging that he isn't my tiny baby anymore. So I'm going to continue to enjoy his wackadoo 'do.
Ugh, I feel like anywhere else in the US 200k could get you some place to live! All we can find are terrible condos with ridiculous hoa fees.
We have a great place for you. 160 000 will get you a nice 3 bedroom, big backyard. Just have to put up with a bit (alot) of snow. If memory serves me right you are in California. Might be a bit of a transition.
I'm near Washington DC but home prices are probably similar to parts of CA.
My apologies! I lack @Vinny424 's ability to remember everything about everyone. I'm lucky if I remember my kids names some days.
With DS1, DH would take fingernail scissors and cut the little hairs over his ears. He hasn't done that with G yet and G has some wild hair!! We waited for a real haircut until 11 months with DS1 and will probably do it around then again.
DS has the perfect amount of hair. It's enough to look like a baby boy but not enough to even consider cutting. I can run my fingers through the top. I wish it'd stay like that forever...
Dh trimmed the hair around DS' ears a few months ago because he was "out of regs." DS is definitely out of regs again, we'll see if DH goes for the scissors soon.
A has her 4th ear infection in 3.5 months. I almost cried. Hopefully the ENT can her in soon.
Oh lady, been there done that (now with both kids, apparently I pass horrible small eustacian tube genetics). It's terrible, I am so sorry.
If you meet with the ENT and they recommend ear tubes I am happy to discuss my experiences with you. I have done a TON of research.
Simple things you can do now: Start using saline every night at any sign of congestion, never feed a bottle lying down (or nursing). Try to keep baby elevated when drinking as if baby has reflux.
Our regular doctor is almost sure they will recommend tubes, just won't do them until 10-12 months. Its so heart breaking. We do all those things, but she consistently gets them.

@hlm184 my DH says the same thing about our boys. He is dying to buzz DS1 head but I won't let him do it! My boys aren't in the Army, they don't have to follow "regs"
Whenever a plane/helicopter flies above our house and we are outside, DS1 stands there and waves and says "Hi plane! Name me!" (He is convinced his name is actually me)

Omfg I've gotten yet ANOTHER email from usaa about them replacing one of my cards. I have a savings account, two checkings and a credit card. So far they've sent a new card for each of the checkings and now they're sending a new one for the credit card. I'm glad they're being proactive and preventing unauthorized purchases but I'm so annoyed that I need to change all my card info on PayPal and the other sites I frequently use my cards with. I also have to remember which last four digits go with which account all over again.
@deidremaria usaa sent me a new one too, however it was during my move so I didn't activate it and now my old card has been turned off. I need to get it and activate it but I keep forgetting. The sad thing is I have 2 checking accounts and the same thing happened 4 years ago to my other account and I never activated the new card. I would just transfer money if I needed money. Now I have no debit card...

Omg that blows! I needs activate the ones for my checking accounts. I haven't activated any of them. I'm surprised they're still working
For everyone wanting an update on my bro and SIL from their ultrasound today, the news was not good. There is abnormal growth in babys brain and a way underdeveloped corpus callosum that is only visible from one angle. They meet with a geneticist and fetal neuro guy tomorrow to discuss their options. But their options are not good. My heart just breaks for them.

I just realized my LO turned 7 months today. Where is the time going. I have to AW you with a photo from the weekend because it totally looks like she is waving at everyone....
@teresa1896 I am so sorry to hear that. They will be in my thoughts, and I hope that they will be surrounded by lots of love and support whatever option they choose.
My boss just said to me that before I had a baby "just getting by was never good enough for me, what happened?". What I really wanted to say was that I hate it here and want to be home with my baby. I just said "I'm tired".
I had essentially this same chat with my supervisor not long ago. Except I'm not even really "getting by" right now. Sympathy love tit. It's hard going back to work when your heart is still at home.
