The dad singing blackbird story came up on my newsfeed too. I couldn't read it I second the aquaphor @snowbound If you're worried about the cream, our pedi suggested a little hydrocortisone cream to calm the rash. My LO has eczema as well and the hydrocortisone has really cleared her up.
I get annoyed when people only ever express their like for teacup dogs and call themselves animal lovers. No you are NOT an animal lover. You're just shallow and wanna use a tiny dog as an accessory
It's my night off and the other manager asked for the Instagram password for work's Instagram. I'm glad she thought to post the specials but I am cringing at her photography. I don't claim to be a master photographer but yikes man. You can see suuuuuuch a difference. At least take a non blurry picture, lady!!
It's a Japanese maple leaf. The color gives it away. But Japanese maple leaves do look an awful lot like pot leaves. It used to make me giggle when people put them in their Japanese themed tattoo sleeves.. They are a pretty little tree though.
A wife on base has a home business where she makes crafts. I liked the page and got entered into a drawing to win a reuseable solo cup- I won (I never win anything). I picked it up tonight
Shea is rocking out in the Jolly Jumper at 10pm because his schedule is all screwy from travelling to Mtl and back, but no crying, just smiles all day. It was an awesome day meeting @LuckySquare and @Jessimax and their rockin' munchkins
I was so close to getting caught up after our little getaway for DH's birthday (went to Sedona, which was wonderful!), but then today got crazy and I got behind another 100 posts. Hugs to those who need them!
Feeling totally hypocritical right now - I've been so positive about our helmet experience but just found out LO didn't improve nearly as much as I was hoping and we might need another one. I was so zen about a second helmet until it became a real reality. Now I just feel like crying. If we get a second, he'd have it around 3-4 months. We need to see if insurance will cover it first, but I'm irrationally feeling like we somehow "failed." Ugh. I so thought I got through all these feelings the first time around. Need to recapture that positive energy ASAP! Our little helmet boy is so cute, and on the plus side, I get to come up with a new design for the next one .
To make up for my negativity, here's a beautiful picture from our 6 month family shoot a few weeks ago. Love.

Haha I stayed an extra 45 minutes for this reason exactly. We left like 7:15 so Aislyn wouldn't fall asleep earlier than usual.
My grandpa use to wear a doo-rag with Marijuana leaves on it when he rode his motorcycle. He was actually buried in it so that none of the grandkids would be able to keep it. My family is incredibly conservative and religious, but my grandpa was the slightly wild one. He thought it was hilarious because his last name was Weed...
I'm going to AW the fact that this was the best night's sleep in the last almost eight months!
LO went down at 7 without a peep, ate at 1:30 and 5:30, and is still sleeping. I woke up on my own at 7 and got to snuggle in bed leisurely before getting up.
My sister and her two best friends all gave birth within a few weeks of each other. I feel like they had some kind of pregnancy pact. Anyways, I'm slightly jealous they will all grow and experience that time together and their babies will have lifelong friends. My LO is on his own. Poor dude.
Dang... Edolie rolled to her tummy around 5 this morning, I woke up around 7, put my hand on her for a good 3 seconds and felt no movement. I yanked her out of her PNP, and when she started reacting to that happening, I immediately had an "oh crap!" reaction and did everything I could to keep her asleep. It worked, but I don't know if I'll be going back to sleep after that. Too much adrenaline! Next time I'm waiting longer than 3 seconds.

I've done the same thing when DS was younger. I've realized from watching him breathe while sleeping that he doesn't always breathe regularly? Like he will take small breaths and then a big one. I mean he's still breathing the whole time, but not constant deep breaths. I usually look for 10 secs and can see him breathe. I don't worry about it nearly as much as before.
Perused the mall. Got some tea, a new nursing bra and Indian food. Was a good day. Until we were leaving and I bought Finn am ice cream cone. I sampled it while he put on his coat and the ball fell on the ground. The look on his face made me think I'd stolen Christmas. So I picked it up and stuck it back on. Mommy fail.
Yay! Fil came over and thawed our pipes. No damage. Dd is feeling fine. I got to work from home which was also nice. My bro and SIL have an appt today with the geneticist, radiologist, neurologist and some other docs, to plan a course of action. Nobody is optimistic at all, and they will probably recommend termination. My bro doesn't want to wait till Monday but we'll see. I just can't even fathom this.

And since I'm not all doom and gloom, here's a pic of my asshole dog after he ate half a pound cake I left on the counter, and my kids at library storytime.
DH has had a cold all week, now my throat is store and I'm stuffy. I hate being sick more than anything else. Next one to get sick is DS. This should be fun.
@ambarnett1 I usually don't worry either anymore, but this was only the second time she's slept on her tummy! I'm still not completely adjusted to the idea yet. :-S

Faaaahk. Gave lo a bite of my egg yolk this morning. Apparently some white was on there because she swelled up like a blimp. We're at the pedi now, she has a severe egg allergy. Feeling like mother of the year.

Was hoping to get a nap in since I feel kind of crappy, but I can't sleep with her like this. :-w
