LO is recreating said monitor picture. HF&M has overtaken us (LO and DH, who is only suffering the chills/fever), but at least LO's sleeping long enough for me to veg a bit after a LONG day in the car... Wine and Love Actually. Nothing better. Except for the addition of a roaring fire.

On the way to a state park today, there was a young mom with her (I'm assuming) daughter in the back seat STANDING UP! She looked to be about 3 years old, and we were on a road that was 60MPH, and then I lost her when she GOT ONTO THE FREEWAY. I reported her, and I really hope they found her and arrested her. X(

So about the gift exchange...we're really only required to buy an ornament or a onesie right? If I want to put more stuff in, is that a bad thing? I don't want anyone to feel bad that they only gave a onesie, but I love to shop for other people! I'm willing to stick to the rules if there are any.

There's not a dollar amount limit, so I would think you could give as much as you'd like!

I spent 2 hrs at Urgent Care with dd, who had pink eye. Of course our pedi isn't open on weekends and she needs to see a doc to get medicine for it. And of course, by the time we left all the pharmacies are closed.
Oh well. I guess we start treatment tomorrow!

A good friend from back home shot himself (committed suicide) last night

Oh my fucking God!!! People can be such selfish assholes! I almost said men but that's not fair because there are lots of men who don't cheat and lots of women who do cheat. I feel so bad for this woman. I hope whatever decision she makes, she eventually finds happiness and is able to move forward and forgive him. Not for him but for her. This is all so sad

Trigger warning- children killed

My fil is a cop, he called us last night totally freaking out if we were okay. There was a shooting in his beat last night. Murder/suicide, a father killed his two children. I don't have the details yet, but it was bad enough that my father in law was crying, and said that it is the hardest case of his career (20 years). I slept all night with DS pasted to my side. My heart just feels heavy today.

My fil called DH and told him what happened, it's awful. I feel so sick, my heart is so broken for those kids and their mom. There are some sick people in the world and its times like this where I question my faith in humanity.

Yeah...I'm excited to be able to partake in some alcohol this holidays. Sparkling cider definitely didn't cut it last year, though I tried. During one particularly tense evening at my in laws, I remember throwing back 4 glasses of cider in quick succession, pretending it was the real stuff.

A little wine makes family gatherings so much better!
