I will double recommend the Uppababy Vista for tall people if it's in the budget for them. Not only is the handle adjustable but the back axle is up and out of the way so you don't have to worry about kicking it with long legs.

I have a family member who is 6' 5" and they manage pretty well with it.
For more budget-friendly, I think the cruz also has the adjustable handlebar.

  • Nothing better than having your son set off the fire panic alarm when you're just trying to take a pee break! Yes this in turn prompted my alarm company calling and the fire department showing up 10 mins later even after I dismissed the alarm as an accident.

Yeah, depending on what alarm company you have, they can't "cancel" a fire alarm once they have already called the fire department. What they do is call the fire department and tell them it was a false alarm and then the fire department makes the decision to go out or not. It's such a pain.

The last time I had an accidental alarm the same thing happened. Only Jameson was an itty bitty, my hubby slept through the whole thing (working nights at the time), and I had to answer to door wrapped in a towel with a towel on my head because it happened while I was taking a shower. That was fun :).

  • @megsw85‌ I'm joining you in the cold weather commiserations. After I finished my last post on here I looked outside and it was full on blizzarding. Drove to town to drop M off at my girlfriend's and go to my massage, the roads are crazy slick. -3 C. I could really handle 1 more month of fall. Not ready for winter quite yet.

  • I'm pissed my manager just sent me an e-mail wording it as though he's reprimanding a 6 year old.

    MomofCatan,
can you please let me know from the scheduling meeting yesterday what time "job name" was to hit press. I’ve been told paperwork was not out last night…
    Manager

Yes, I forgot to put out my paperwork, but you were at the meeting and keep 2 months worth of old schedules in your office. So you clearly know what time the job was going hit press.

  • @rianamommie DD is like that too sometimes and other times she's totally happy. Usually if she wakes up screaming I leave her for a minute and let her calm down on her own before going to get her. I don't know if it really helps, but I figure when I wake up cranky the last think I want is someone turning on the lights and moving me before I'm ready to get up.

  • @mcbush lately he has been napping for roughly 1.5-2 hours, this started a few weeks ago. Before that he was only napping 45 mins, but would still act the same way when he woke up.

  • Tonight might be interesting.  Just got a text from SIL, who is watching Lily.  Apparently, she hasn't napped ALL DAY.  Yep, my kid that takes two 2.5 hour naps a day hasn't had one.  She was at MIL/SFIL's house.  I told them that I won't take her there all of the time because there is too much going on.  She wants to be involved with the 2 dogs and 2 cats and 6 year old BIL.  BIL was asleep, but not Lily.  Awesome. :-S

  • Oh. My. Goodness! Someone on the D14 shared in the TMI thread that she pees in an empty milk jug next to her bed because it's too much work to walk downstairs and go. To make matters worse.... Instead of dumping it in her toilet, she dumps it out her bedroom window before her husband wakes up. Gag.me.with.a.fucking.spoon!

    Wtf...ew...

@kari5186 - I've already seen Downton Abbey and most definitely the Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice - so we can be friends ;-)  (And I am caught up with the current Paradises)

I'll definitely look into Mr Selfridge!

I've currently been trying out "Reign" after it was suggested because I watched The Tudors.  *shudders*  After watching The Tudors, watching something produced by the CW is like pouring hot wax in my eyes.  At the same time, sometimes the tweeny bopper drama is kind of addictive.  Which makes me want to pour hot wax in my brain for thinking it.
