@steamboat123@GraceinCA What I mean is that if I give a range I'm worried I will give a number that's lower than what they would have offered. I've done this before, I probably could have made a lot more at my first job out of college, but I was desperate for an offer.
A quick Google search seems to show my what I would need to switch jobs number is on the high end of things, though its hard to be sure because I'm sure titles differ between companies. I am going to be on pins and needles until this interview on Tuesday. Also, I am a little shocked I got an interview since according to linkedIn there are over 200 applicants.

If it were me and they asked, I would let the know, "I am happy in my job but I'm looking for professional growth and a higher salary. At this point, I would need at least [number on high end of ranges for that salary] to transition to a new position." You don't want to be outside the ballpark, but don't be afraid to be on the higher end of the range, especially if you've been working in that field for several years. You have the luxury of looking for a job while you have a job, so don't settle.

That's a great way to word it and so true for me. The only reasons I'm looking is for more money and to get out of this dead end with no growth potential.
If it will get you both through the day @subliminalrabbit, go for it. Sounds like both you and E need a break and if he's sick you can justify a little more TV... It's not like you do it daily.
Anyone bought an outdoor plastic picnic table for the little ones? I need recommendations since I think that's what we are doing for Christmas. Thanks!
I think ours is a little tykes one. You want to be mindful of the surface on the top if you want to color on it. Some of them have like fake wood grain that make drawing difficult. Also, if it's gonna be outside you prolly want one with an umbrella
@WorkinIt they totally are!! I make roughly 6-8 large pans a year and then cut them I to bite size pieces and freeze them. My mouth is watering just thinking about them lol.
After about 2 weeks of fast paced nonstop work, today was sloooowww at work, and the day is just dragging. Luckily my husband is already home so he can wrangle children while I do nothing. Except maybe drink. And read a book. Possibly some television.
Our daycare teacher just announced that LO's classroom is having a Halloween party. They are asking us to bring in store bought snacks. How many store bought things are safe for 12-16 month olds? I need suggestions beyond Goldfish and Puffs and pouches. Applesauce containers?
I usually do bananas and yogurt covered raisins. It depends on the school with raisins, but you could do a brick of cheese cut into shapes.
H was supposed to grill tonight but he came home late and didn't tell me when he called me on the way home that he didn't want to grill anymore...so what did we have for dinner you ask? Pigs in a blanket...mother of the year right here!
@huckleberry08, applesauce would be good or the individual apple slice packs. Ritz has these new Ritz bits that have cheese or peanut butter that are bite size, A loves them. Veggie Sticks chips are good too. Gerber arrowroot cookies
Grayson was asleep when I got home from work so I decided to nap with him and Alex woke us up when he had dinner ready. And yes, you're reading that right. Alex made dinner! Haha but Grayson woke up super cranky and has been that way ever since. He wouldn't eat dinner. He just wanted to play with it. My mom came home with French fries and got him to eat some of those but all he's had for dinner is a pouch and French fries. But he just won't eat. Now he is drinking a cup of milk while I rock him. I'm afraid he will be a teething mess tonight.
@subliminalrabbit and @mcbush , sorry you guys are having such a rough day with your LOs. We've had a similar day over here. M did not sleep more than 10 min today and was a moody mess since she got up this morning. She would shriek whenever she wanted something or it didn't go her way or I stopped paying attention to her for 1 single second. DH gets home (after I've expressed my frustration over the day I've had), we all sit down to supper. M continues to whine/shriek. We take her upstairs and start bath together (what normally happens if DH gets home in time), but I could not believe after the day I had and had just told him how I just needed a break from it, that he turns around and walks out saying he's going to have a shower and watch the ball game. Excuse me, what? I'm so furious I can't even start talking to him about it. I get that he works all day, so he needs a break. I also know that today he got into town at noon and went shopping for new trucks for 2 hrs before his safety meeting. So it's not like he's had a super rough day. But you know, he needs a break to unwind
I don't know what his deal was tonight, honestly. I didn't say anything during bath @subliminalrabbit , but I had mentioned it to him on the phone only 30 short minutes before when he was driving home. We've had this talk before, and I'd love to say he's normally good. But really he has barely been home since July so he hasn't had a whole lot of opportunities to help me out at the end of the day. I havent been asking much of him either because we see him so little. But now that his new job is going to offer a much more relaxed schedule I think we need to revisit the expectations.
ETA: thanks for the reminder @mcbush. I think I need to be more explicit about what I need from him.
I can't handle watching the last game of the world series. I keep switching from the game to octonauts. I'm really hoping the Royals can pull this one off but I just can't watch the entire game...
@ColieAnn31 I'm stuck watching the whole thing. My H actually just said I should be happy, because no matter who wins this is the last game of the season so I never have to watch another baseball game until next year...

ugh, so happy it's over! DH was rooting for your Royals @ColieAnn31, and he couldn't quit pacing during that last inning. Too bad they couldn't pull it off. I don't ever watch baseball and even I know that would have been epic

I'm debating whether or not to work out tonight. I should but I have so many other things to do.

Nick Swisher. :x
It's totally his personality that does it for me.

We're still working on B's costume. It's a good thing DH is crafty.
