ugh, so happy it's over! DH was rooting for your Royals @ColieAnn31, and he couldn't quit pacing during that last inning. Too bad they couldn't pull it off. I don't ever watch baseball and even I know that would have been epic
It would have been so amazing for our city to have experienced a world series win. They are having a celebrating today at the stadium. Wish I could be there.
DD made my heart drop yesterday after being defiant. (can we say they are defiant yet, or just a toddler?)
At our friends house they have a three step slide for her son. She didn't want to eat and started sliding. We moved the slide into the carpeted room and my friend and I continued to eat while watching her. I then see her standing at the top, and tell her to sit down and slide. After saying it a few times she sits down and slides. My friend and I joke about our LOs testing us then I see DD standing at the top again. I tell her to sit. She looks at me, smiles, and does her hop/jump, and down the stairs she goes.
I think I cried more than she did, but the mental image keeps popping up in my head and I'm like what am I going to do with this girl?
I don't really post in the spam thread, but I had to share my utter dispair. I made the broccoli cheese chicken n rice casserole from the recipes thread last night. I had one helping from the 13x9 dish and it was delicious! I came downstairs this morning and saw I had forgotten to put it in the fridge last night. So sad.

FFTC: I'm eating a tortellini soup that was left in the diaper bag over night.
@itsStackie another limit pusher over here. I'll remove him from the situation a few times but after that I leave him to it as long as it's not a huge risk. Ex. I cannot keeps this kid off the back part of our couches. No matter how many times I've taken him down and tried to redirect him he still climbs up there. One time he fell head over heels from the back all the way to floor. Still didn't learn his lesson. Our toddlers are all about testing the limits of their worlds right now, all we can do is be there to kiss the bumps, bruises and scrapes. They are bound to get hurt, unfortunately some more than others.
I have horror stories of some of things my DD did when she was this age. I'm surprised she never broke a bone or cracked her skull open with how much of a daredevil she was.
You guys, I almost had a heart attack!! A fricken spider was crawling on my pajama leg!!!! I was sitting on the floor with M and bumping. I look down and fricken spider is there. I started screaming and used my phone to get it off me. I took my pants off and poor M started crying. I feel bad but omg I HATE spiders!! I found it on the tile and killed it. I'm still creeped out and have on new pajamas. Ugh
@babygsmommy I hate spiders too and can't stand when they get in the house. I asked my bug guy what he could do to help prevent them from getting in and he explained that there isn't much you can do. He can spray but unless the spider is sprayed directly it's not going to be very effective at keeping then out .
I moved a low cabinet back to the living room where B's toys are and he's had great fun putting all his toys in there. I'm hoping he is taking after me and wants things organized.
speaking of FWP...I was all sad because I missed the second episode of Gracepoint and it wasn't on demand. I refused to watch episodes 3 & 4 that I have on my DVR...cut to yaaaay Fox has them on their website #thestruggleisreal

Daycare gave KJ a piece of rice Krispy treat. It's not candy but I am really annoyed. Am I overreacting?
I am choosing to remain ignorantly bliss of the snacks at DC. I control all the other food and DC gets her to eat lots of veggies so I'm ignoring that snack is probably pretzels and crackers and freezies in the summer. DCP sent a pic of DD eating a cupcake for someones birthday. *fingers in ears* la la la la

:-) I'm more active on FB but I do post in the weekly pregnant thread and occasionally on posts here.
@mcbush, I totally agree on this subject. As long as we're serving her well balanced meals, and she eats relatively healthy I don't see the big deal. And also, it really is not worth the fight. Grandma is going to share her ice cream no matter what I say. I've decided to pick my battles and they are more along the lines of safety (car seat in particular). I will agree with you on the pop thing though. Madeline doesn't even know what pop (or beer for that matter is) but if she sees a can or bottle of either she goes totally nuts. It used to be sufficient to let her carry a cold, closed can around, but now she knows it should open and loses it if we don't. So, yeah, we don't drink pop or beer out of the can/bottle ever around here anymore.
It's astounding how clean our house stays when DH is out of town...
Amen!! When my hubby is deployed my house stays spotless and picked up. The second he gets home all that work goes out the window and it makes me nuts. Also it's always easier to get out of the house with kids when my hubby isn't there. I swear he messes up my flow. Still love him though
I let DD play with the empty paper that stamps come on since she pulled it out of the trash in the office. Next minute she has a piece of a sticker from it on her hands... and now it's gone. I'm thinking she ate it and now I'm trying not to freak out. She's not choking, so that's good right?
Not trying to scare you, but please keep a very close eye on her. I saw an episode of "you won't believe what was in my body" where a little girl swallowed a sticker and it got stuck in her throat. It got infected and turned ugly, granted her parents didn't realize what was going on so they responded a lot slower to her cold like symptoms. Because of this episode I don't allow stickers in my house right now.

But most likely it will be in her poop.
(I know riansmommie is just trying to help, I'm not trying to be snarky)
@mcbush - this isn't about allergies. That's not something in concerned about at this stage. It's the junk good I watch. I don't give my kid junk food or candy and only cookies/cake on rare occasions and would prefer if they didn't.
Thank you for adding that @momofcatan I was in the process of getting my Dd from school and forgot to add on the non scary part as well. Fail on my part
So yesterday I could go onto linkedin and look someones profile. Today, for the same person, I need a "premium account". Seriously? Its like they know this is the person who will be interviewing me so they figure they can get me to pay for it now.
As soon as my DD is done with her homework we will be frosting all the sugar cookies we made the other day. I'm going to let Jameson decorate some and am interested to see how he does. I have a feeling his will be consumed instead of frosted.
@Pitchslap I have my DVR set to record it tonight so I can watch it after M goes to bed. Or maybe tomorrow when she goes to nana and papa's for a Halloween sleepover.
Re: All Work and No Spam Makes Jack a Dull Boy
I'm off tomorrow and I am working from home today = zero motivation.
Who wants to come to Jax tomorrow and watch a 11 am showing of Nightcrawler with me??
