  Yeah I'm a no rules trick or treater. My kids will be the same.

  We have been teaching G about saying a prayer before eating and every day for the last 2 weeks G stops us before putting anything in his mouth and says, "let's say a prayer" He then proceeds to thank God for "all the Halloween candy I'm going to get in X days." It has been like an amazing math countdown lesson in our house. If you told him Halloween would be on a different day now because of weather, football, etc. he would flip the eff out.

  Can y'all weigh in on something for me. So I noticed that my hubby added another girl on his FB that I have no idea who it is. I questioned him about it and found out that she is a girlfriend of someone my hubby works with. He has never met her. Anyone else think that's weird/sketchy or am I just being a paranoid wife whose husband is deployed and thousands of miles away from me?

  I wouldn't love it, but if you trust him I wouldn't worry. MH and I are not on social media for that reason, he has no concept of what is an appropriate online relationship, he would be friends with every girl that is friends with him. If she really is friends with someone he works with, you should friend her too! It's hard to be sketchball when you are in the loop

  Haha we are allowed to disagree I think there is a comradere with wives/girlfriends of enlisted men that she can fall into, trust wise. And her H knows she is curious about this chick so it wouldn't be out of nowhere

  @megsw85‌ I would go for the quality time with your H, but only if they had a hotel arranged for you ahead of time. No way I'd be rolling into Ft Mac at midnight without a reservation. We are getting into a pretty busy season here and all the hotels have No Vacancy. Ft Mac hardly even sees a slow down ever so the chances of there being an abundance of choices tonight are slim to none

  @steamboat123‌ where in turkey are they going? I spent 7 days in Istanbul in the old city, right behind the blue mosque. If it's any consolation I thought the food was horrible, but, to be fair, I had spent two weeks in Marseille right before

  My H is being a dick! We're going to his hometown to meet our new niece and now he wants to go make 3 other stops to more of his family while we're there. I had to push him to make this trip and we aren't leaving until Sat am. And my parents who actually make 100x more effort to see A are meeting us there. No, ass I don't want to make all these stops to visit people who don't make the effort to come see us and they are less than 3hrs away and make my parents drive all over! And God forbid we try to talk about it...asshole!

  I figured out what I'm going DH for his bday - Sons of Anarchy Season 6- then realized its free on Amazon prime instant video. And season 7 is on On Demand. I suck. No idea what to get him. His birthday is still Wednesday...

  @steamboat123‌ when I lived in Tanzania my dad came to visit me with his best friend and we all hiked Kilimanjaro. It was his first non Europe trip and his first time traveling without my mom. He was almost 60. Since then he decided to travel the world and once a year he and his 3 friends go somewhere exotic for 2 weeks. They have been all over Asia, India, the Middle East, South America and Africa. He never had the time or money to do this when all of us (3 sisters ) were growing up. His adventures give me so much hope that I can pick up my globe trotting where I left off someday and let me just enjoy the smaller adventures closer to home while the boys are little. But seriously, his trips are such an inspiration to me and gives me another reason to take care of my body so I can still be adventuring when the kids are out of the nest!

  Doesn't surprise me that far north @megsw85. It snowed here 2 days ago and anywhere that's in the shade still has snow on the ground. I'm fully expecting another snowfall before Friday. It's a rare occasion that we don't have snow on Halloween night.

  Nothing better than having your son set off the fire panic alarm when you're just trying to take a pee break! Yes this in turn prompted my alarm company calling and the fire department showing up 10 mins later even after I dismissed the alarm as an accident.
