Every F-in time im nursing, I have to sneeze like 5 times and it's so hard to keep quiet. And then my nose starts to drip. Tonight, I blew my nose into one of baby girl's onesies straight out of her dresser. At least I stopped sneezing.
Tomorrow is the first day of fall. I want all the pumpkin things at Trader Joe's. So far I have purchased pumpkin rolls (like cinnamon rolls, but pumpkin, can't wait to try!), pumpkin crisps, pumpkin pita chips (really good), pumpkin croutons, pumpkin scone cookies (AMAZING!), pumpkin chai tea, pumpkin bar baking mix (delish!) and pumpkin bread baking mix. I haven't tried all of this yet, but next on my list will be pumpkin cream cheese (I need to put that on the bread), pumpkin sea salt chocolate caramels, pumpkin brittle, pumpkin butter (of course), pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin scone mix, pumpkin waffles and pumpkin croissants. I predict my husband, LO and I will be orange by the end of October, or at least very spicy. Pumpkin doesn't even look like a word to me anymore. I'm done.
@cook251 - My dad sent me the pie filling - his wife is a huge canner (sp?). I just added some of the caramel that you find buy the apples in the produce section to the filling and baked. I'm sure there is a recipe online for something similar. It was delicious!
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
I have officially shared too much uInder my old handle, apologies for the name change, but I had to do it!
I think about doing this but I am afraid I would never remember what I changed it to. I have been using jennyinheaven since I was 16 on the internets I am currently 37
This is more of a FFFC but it's not Friday (I think).....I just let DD nurse for a little over 35 min just so I could watch the DVRd premier of Big Bang Theory in peace.
I see no issue with this.
You all are making me miss Trader Joe's. There is one about 15 minutes away from me that I used to go to every week, but they opened a Wegmans last year that is much closer, so I've been going there ever since. Maybe I'll go check out TJ's this weekend.
@comicsans. I also LOVE wegmans!!! And I currently live in rochester. Went to school here and then stayed. I haven't tried trader Joe's tho there is one in Pittsford now.

@comicsans and @flockofmoosen I'm from Rochester originally! Grew up in fairport but spent most of my time in Irondequoit at the lake! I so miss wegmans!
The pumpkin pancake mix from tjoes is to die for! We had it this weekend.
FYI they have smores candys, chocolate covered marshmallow/graham crackers which are AMAZING!
DD1 is watching Sesame Street. They just defined a twin as someone with a brother or sister born on the exact same day. This immediately made me wonder how many twins actually have different birthdays? Like one is born at 11.50pm and the other at 12.15am... It must happen once in a while, right?

My friends are twins with different birthdays, which makes it kinda neat for them I think. Their mom always gave them separate celebrations.

LO was sent home with a fever today. Poor thing. She's cranky and tired but didn't have a fever by the time she got home. After fighting it for awhile, she's now asleep on my chest. Not going to move until she wakes up. But my mom is coming over later so I can go back to work. Just want to snuggle her.
I was in a meeting with our executive committee when I got the call. Feel so guilty leaving. But feel guilty not being with her. Work has been really patient with me but I've had 4 sick days since I've been back.
Just had 2 purchasing fails. The travel bag I ordered for DS car seat is too small, going to have to return it and just get a drawstring bag type. And went out this morning to get a jolly jumper and our door trim is too wide, the clamp doest fit
@letal316 my online shopping addiction was close to requiring an intervention when DS was waking every two hours and taking forever to put back down. It's a little better now that he sleeps a little better. (But I did just blow $80 on kids clothes while looking for just a white onesie...but Old Navy had a sale on baby and toddler clothes so I had to buy them all!!)
I'm in a bad mood today and the next person that asks what's wrong is going to catch a fat lip. Just leave me the hell alone. My DH is at a dodger game and I'm home all night with DS and I may just drink a whole bottle of wine when he goes to sleep.. Sorry not sorry

Our jumper only fits one doorway in our house and it's the one that has steps below. Fail!
Thanks to The Bump for making an already crappy app completely unusable. Do they have a team of chimpanzees running their programming and development department?
Yesterday I told our pedi that DD is a great overnight sleeper and almost never spits up. So naturally she went to sleep 3 hrs later than usual last night and woke up an hour early, and today she's spitting up after every single feeding.
Last night I made myself a sundae with a warm PB cookie, a big spoonful of PB, and vanilla ice cream, and I drowned it in this ridiculously delicious caramel sauce. OMG.

After all this time, I still stare dumbly at the pump parts in the morning, trying to remember how to put it together, more often than I care to admit.

For work I live in Express Columnist pants. I really don't understand all the so called straight leg dress pants that are really more like bell bottoms. They make me look way bigger than I am.

@aimeefarrahfowler More power to you. I couldn't do it. We have way too many accidents.
I've slept in wet sheets after DS2 peed while I was changing him in the middle of the night. It was just a tinkle and changed the sheets the next day. Sleep > clean sheets
@QOTR DH learned how to put my pump together like a pro with the first baby...yet I have days where I do the same as tou.
Also...I just received a bill for $600 from one of my first prenatal appointments where they did all the blood work. A year later you hit me with this???!! Wtf??!
Trying to figure out straw vs sippy cup and it's all too overwhelming.
This debate means absolutely nothing when it comes to actually getting a baby to drink from something other than the breast or bottle. They have their preferences and absolutely do not GAF what the pediatricians and orthodontists say. In the end you'll probably cave and give your LO the first cup s/he'll take without a fight, studies be damned.

Ummm... am I supposed to be thinking about this already? When do they start using these cups?
You can start introducing a cup from about 6 months. I gave up trying to figure it out so ordered one that has an interchangeable straw and sippy spout
On that note, why is it that old people loose their teeth and have to wear dentures? Is it bad hygiene or just a normal aging thing? I have nightmares about my teeth falling out.

I have the same recurring nightmare about my teeth crumbling and falling out and it is always SO real!
I hate... HATE going to the dentist! Not because I'm afraid, but because it never fails that I always get some sort of bad news thanks to genetics. I've had 4 root canals (+ caps), a bridge to replace 4 teeth I've never had, and now looking to do implants because of a baby tooth that I still have that is now being absorbed by my body.
WTF? My bill is horrifying.
I hate it too. Probably why I haven't been in 6yrs.......
DS started mother's day out on 9/2, only goes 2 half days per week, and has already been sick twice. This makes 12 illnesses for him since November. I hate kid germs.
DH is remodeling the kids' shower this weekend, so he was already worn out. Then I sent him out to buy a fridge from an estate sale. I know he wants to complain but he hasn't said a word so far. This is unheard of for him. I'm pretty impressed.
