@jenb_99 I once got mad at DH for leaving possibly 0.0005 oz in the bag when making a bottle. He thought I was nuts. He'll never understand since it isn't his nipples or his time! Glad it didn't ruin your day though!
Whoever said don't cry over spilled milk was not a mom (I have cried over spilled breastmilk and over DD spilling a glass of cow's milk all over the floor after a long day and just sitting down to dinner.)
One of our dogs got skunked, my husbands car broke down and my babe got her 4 month shots today! Too many balls up in the air for one day!
If MH comes home and complains about the skunk smell that I have just spent all day trying to eradicate while entertaining a cranky baby I will rip his head off.

Had a staff meeting tonight, and I brought LO. He was awesome and slept through the whole thing. But...a woman I work with (the same one who after everyone of my OB appointments during my pregnancy never asked how it went but always, "How much did you gain?") saw DS and the first / only thing she said was, "Wow! He's fat." Serious??!! Serious?? He's 12-13 lbs. and 3 months old. He was 7 lb. 3 oz. at birth and is growing accordingly. And no matter what, you don't call a person's baby fat!
Some days I wish I was not as informed about babies as I am as a result of this board (I mean... We are all experts, right?!). Every night I go to bed wondering when the 4 mo sleep regression is going to hit us. I get all anxious thinking 'is tonight going to be a good night or a bad night'. I wish I didn't know it was a thing.
For the love of all that is holy, why can't I fall asleep?! I have to be up in less than three hours to work a 12 hour shift, and I've hardly slept at all. If I sleep, the kid wakes a lot. Tonight she's sleeping well and I can't. FML.

Sorry. Totally feel you on this one. DD slept through the night for a solid week and I didn't get to enjoy it because I was sick. It's the worst feeling. Guess what I'm finally getting better and she's waking 2-3 times a night now. Totally sucks.
My baby girls hair is like two different colors. She has a light red hair and then where her new hair is growing(she lost some and had bald patches) it's so blonde it's almost white. I'm curious to see what color her hair ends up being!! Everyone loves her red hair because it's so dang pretty.
@Nikkidoll15 - my kid has bald patches and two patches of a strawberry blonde-brown and a light blond fuzz. Weird thing is that the back patch at his neck is going to need a trim soon!
@cook251 - DH always asks weird things in his sleep. Like always. One day he asked me about snow loads (he's an engineer) and I didn't think quick enough to mess with him.
@usernewname that sounds like Chloe. The back of her head is full of thicker strawberry blonde hair. It's all curly at the end. I wish the rest of her hair was that full!!
Yea... Not fun. @Lissiehoya@Jcrewgirl85 I blame a combination of new nursing pads (have you seen the Johnson&Johnson ones- they gave me a chuckle) and wearing a cotton, unlined sleep nursing bra. And Monday. I blame Monday.
I forgot to brush my teeth this morning. I can count on one hand the number of times this has happened in my adult life, and they've all been since I had my second child.

I'm reading through the My CIty Charter Code trying to find a way to get my neighbors across the street to clean up their lot. They move a bunch of junk into their garage and have been bringing more and storing it in their back yard. They are a corner lot, so I see all the junk whenever I look out the front of my house.
The city talked to them and sent them a letter about giving them a week to dean it up. They put of a crapy fence around all the crap. I can still see it all from my room and DD's room.
I'm scared to death of that cold/lung virus spreading across the country. I'm a germaphobe the way it is and this is not helping me at all. And DS started Kindergarten this year. :-S Too say my anxiety is through the roof is an understatement......
Same here. Terrified. Both kids are in daycare and I work in a public service position. I'm not a germaphobe, just really don't want to see a 3 yo and a 3 mo that sick.
@KellyQ116 - I'm actually loving it. I haven't had my hair this short in over 10 years. I'm probably going to grow it out again, but it's so healthy and much hard for DS to get ahold of.
@ho11yday - thanks. I thought it was weird because I had a long conversation with two women who I see every day and neither noticed anything... I don't care except it makes me wonder if they didn't say anything because it looks bad....
Ok you are really making me want to chop it now! Glad you are loving it!
@jennish11 ugh pp hair falling out is awful! This is the longest my hair has ever been, and I love it, but I want to chop it off also. So now I basically have the long hair I've always wanted (minus the crazy hair loss) but all I do is wear it in a French braid because 1. DD is Always pulling it or 2. I find my hair stuck under her neck fat!

This is me, my thin fine hair has never grown as long as it is now before pregnancy and until 4 months pp I finally had the hair of my dreams. Now its long but thinning out again and it is everywhere. I wear it up more then anything and contemplate chopping it short again everyday.
DD's germ this month: pink eye (I think, dr appt at 9:30 to officially diagnose eye crust). (Last month was a stomach bug; this girl can't win!) I took baby boy to daycare to keep him away but I miss him. But I realize how easy one kid is as I sit on the couch with just DD.
Not sure where to post this question and I don't want a new discussion so for those moms who pump at work - is there a problem with the way I'm doing it?
I take a tall bottle and two short bottles. After pumping into two short bottles, I combine into the tall bottle and put the full tall bottle and empty short bottles in the fridge. Second pump, I pump directly into the two short bottles. Is it "bad" (i.e. will the milk spoil) if the warm milk goes directly into the cold glass bottles?
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
@Jcrewgirl85 I certainly hope pumping "fresh" milk into cold bottles is okay since I'm doing this for my second kid now. But really, I think it's fine. I've heard many places that it's fine to keep pump parts in the fridge between pumps.
If anything, the milk won't spoil (and if it did you'd know for sure by the smell) it'd just lose some of it's special breastmilk goodness (don't ask me what that is...?!).
Today I used the ring sling for the first time in public and DS didn't even fuss. Every time I've tried at home he's hated it. He actually seemed to enjoy himself and liked it more than the Lillebaby carrier.

I usually just rinse the short bottles out really well rather than put them in the fridge. But I doubt it would do too much harm to pump into chilled bottles.
searching for purple and baby poop green on google is not the smartest ideas I had. I just want to know if these curtains from ikea will look good with our baby poop green walls in our bedroom. Or if I should go with green or khaki/tan/whatever curtains. Grr.
What shows are people watching on netflix or cable? Im going through Dexter (again), Scrubs, undercover boss, parenthood. I watch these little by little of course, when I get time. What should I go through next?
Re: random thoughts.
I wash everything together. This should probably be a FFFC
Me too I just DGAF

Today, he threw up his juice on my leg.
At least I figured it out that it was the sight of ds2 spitting up that has been causing it and not another sensitivity.
