DD1 is scared to death of the vacuum cleaner and the blender!
Yep. And the hairdryer, which she used to love as a newborn. Her little lower lip starts to tremble (so cute). I try to get done before the pout turns into full-blown cries.
Ringworm. I think I haz it on my leg. But it doesn't itch. But it looks just like it.
Drank too much last night with a friend and maybe said something to a coworker (not a work meeting, but somewhere work people were at) that maybe could be construed improperly especially if she twists what I said. And, two hours after I got home, I had to be back up for work (up at 2am to get there by 3am). Gah. Tired.
Put both kids down to sleep so I could study for this thing I have to do for work; haven't studied one bit, but rather checked the multiple forums I follow.
I do not feel well hopefully I am ok by morning so I can take care of DD. I am so nauseous (not pregnant!) Maybe a stomach bug. DD was pooping a lot today so maybe we both got something.
btw, I am a sahm and still have a hard time getting housework done. I imagine all of you working moms never get any time to relax
We're about to pay a cleaning lady because I just cannot get it all done!! And I only have one kid-
I want to pay a cleaning lady too, but I'm a SAHM so I feel like I should be able to get it done.
We hired on. Best decision I've ever made and I'm practically a SAHM. It's hard enough for me to keep up with laundry. I can't imagine sweeping and mopping while keeping DD happy.
DD1 is scared to death of the vacuum cleaner and the blender!
LO is afraid of the ice maker. Crushed ice? Forget about it.
DD is pretty good with sounds. The dryer going off startles her a lot though.
We disabled our dryer buzzer because it was waking him from naps.
For those of you that have a cleaning service, how does it work for you? We're having such a struggle with nap time right now, I'd be afraid she would wake him.

@QOTR I leave my house. It's easier for them to get everything done without you there. My girl usually takes 2-3 hours depending on if she does my basement. That's including dusting blinds and baseboards.
DS started laughing nonstop when I was trying to feed him before bed last night for no apparent reason. It was simultaneously the cutest thing and the most frustrating thing ever. It was like, haha, you think I'm going to sleep, but I'm really not.... He did eventually go down for almost 12 hours though.
I just discovered that Trader Joe's is selling pumpkin caramel Kringle! If you've never had Kringle of any flavor you really have to order one from O&H Bakery. They ship them to your house and they will literally change your life. I love them so much that I give them as Christmas gifts to my boss and other people at school.
O&H bakery is the best. I dreamed about their kringle while I was pregnant, but never got a chance to order it.
LO fell asleep on me for the first time in months today...I actually cried because I had to set him down and I just wanted to hold him so bad, but I have to get ready to go look at an apartment as soon as DH gets off work. I miss my baby cuddles so much! (
DS feel asleep on me today too! It's been so long! I let him sleep for two hours.... Both of which were past his bedtime. I'm sure I will pay for it at some point in the middle of the night when he wakes, but I don't think I'll regret it.
A male coworker of mine asked if I was breast feeding then looked down at my boobs like they were the ones who were going to answer...
No. Just no. Did you smack him? Andplusalso... Why does everyone think this is their business?! I went to a tailgate for an hour last weekend and DH's boss asked if I pumped before I came and told me he'd made me a week vodka drink since I was nursing (I only nurse at night now). This is the same man who stopped by unannounced at our house 2 weeks after DD was born. I was nursing so I quickly threw a cover over me. He came up to me and lifted the cover to peek at the baby!!!! His wife was with him and they have 3 daughters my age. The man is totally innocent about it all but is one of the craziest people I've ever met.
Also a complete rando on the street yesterday says 'how old is your baby? Are you formula feeding or breast feeding.' Huh? Nice to meet you too!! Eta: oops
Random question for the RTT. I just got a gift in the mail from a cousin I scarcely know. Inside, there's no card. The contents were a beautiful kitchen knife, a few other minor kitchen utensils, and a small infant toy.
Now, I'm a little confused, because it kind of looks like gifts off a wedding registry. We've been married five years, so clearly that's not it. I don't know of any other family weddings around now either. But kitchenware would be an unusual baby gift. So....
What's ettiquette suggest when I suspect I've received a gift meant for someone else?
So I got another package in the mail from the same cousin. This time there was some stuff for LO and a card. Turns out the kitchen stuff was a wedding gift "better five years late than never." MH was super excited about the unexpected gift.
Omg yes! I was talking to DH about this! So exciting but so scary.....how does one even begin to manage??
I said that to my H. I can't imagine ONE set of twins. Props to multiples mamas, seriously. Ones that BF, don't they almost ALWAYS have a baby on their boob those first few weeks? I am exhausted dealing with one crying baby through the night, 2? 4? Good grief!!! And what about when they simultaneously have poopsplosions?!!! AHHH!! Those mamas are wonder women IMO.
I can't imagine BFing twins (let alone more). I have 2 friends with twins, one decided to go straight to formula because BFing would be way too time consuming, the other decided to EP and hired a night nurse. DH's boss has triplets. His wife is a SAHM but they tried to hire help. First nanny they hired quit the first day, second nanny quit after one week, then they just gave up on hiring a nanny. I don't know how people manage multiples without having help.

I'm having a pity me day for my fwp 's. You've probably seen my vents about DD not sleeping. Now DH is all mad at me because he doesn't feel he's getting enough sex. (Yes...I have told him he can jump off a cliff). DD has peed in her carseat twice already this weekend. I made pumpkin waffles exactly by the directions and they didn't work. DD is deciding to sit down in parking lots and refuse to move. She also screams and hits too much. My house is a mess. I'm feeling sad I don't have "a village" like the article someone posted earlier. We live at least six hours from family and have no one hear to help. I'm just getting at my wits end! End rant.

Hugs!! Hope it all gets better soon!
ETA we have no family near us either and it's so hard. We live in California and our family is in New York. Friends are great but you just can't beat having family close by.
DH and I were at dinner last night minding our own business watching the dodger game. (We are a diehard dodger family) and out of no where a lady sitting next to us says "all dodger fans want to do is fight. They're animals." DH is wearing his dodger jersey and mind you we are at a bar/restaurant filled with dodger fans and DH looks over at her and says "excuse me?" She looks at him like she's fearing for her life. He says apparently you know nothing about baseball or it's fans and you're assuming. It was actually pretty funny because she shut up for the rest of the game. He's really passionate about stuff like that so I just acted like I didn't hear it. Lol
Thanks all for the sympathy. DH and I had a good talk tonight and are doing better. DS even slept in until just now (7:30)! Hoping for a better day. @kittyriot No worries about the article.I really enjoyed it helped me to realize and admit that it is rough not to have that kind of help, which I'm often too hard headed to do.
I lurk on a different forum and the level of dumb f**kery over there is sometimes astounding. One person found the best way to get her 4 month old to nap wad to give him 2 pillows and a blanket. Another one wanted to know if it's OK to add salt to baby food because baby food be bland yo.
DH and I love watching The Walking Dead, which is starting again this month. Sad part is that it starts at 8pm, which also happens to be the time we give dd her bedtime bottle and I spend a good 30-45 min after that rocking her to sleep Looks like I won't be watching that! DH asked if we should start putting her to bed earlier so we can both watch it....I really considered it Won't do it though, finally got a bedtime routine down.

Could you DVR it and watch it right after LO has gone down?
@Emmagk , nope. We just have basic cable. We don't watch it often enough to spend on all the crazy channels. But I'm sure my hubby will download it so I can catch up like what @jsquaree said.
@Lissiehoya glad im not the only one! It just sucks because when I think about going somewhere, I think of how much work it will be with her. She has now started getting upset in new environments. We also have entirovirus going around, which has paralyzed infants recently. That makes me want to stay home!
I just signed up for Weight Watchers because I'm sick of myself and all the crap I've been eating. I hate that every picture of DD & I makes me want to cry....& not in a sweet way.
I also am gonna hop on the WW train. Need to get some of these lbs off and soon!
My 2.5 yo painted himself with his poop. Good thing was that DH was home while I worked, so he was in charge of cleanup. I just got to hear the story of it.
Andplusalso, he also colored all over our walls with the crayons that MIL gave him.
There's a girl I'm friends with on FB / IG... she just had a baby girl about three weeks ago, cute little thing. Anyway, she named her Arianna, Ahri for short. Yes, her actual name has no H in it, but her nickname does. This drives me crazy for reals. If you wanted an H in there, why didn't you put it in her name in the first place? Am I missing some sort of grammar rule where this is a thing?
I'm totally guilty of this! My DS name is Jackson, but we call him Jaxs =/
We're about to pay a cleaning lady because I just cannot get it all done!! And I only have one kid-
I want to pay a cleaning lady too, but I'm a SAHM so I feel like I should be able to get it done.
Being a SAHM is the exact reason you CANT get it done! When I worked I didn't need a cleaning lady because I could clean the house over the weekend and everyone was out of it all day, so it stayed clean. Staying home you prep every meal at home (in theory ...) and the house is the kids playground. I got a cleaning lady for that.

Don't know why she needed the h in the nickname but I'm glad she didn't put it in the official name. Not a fan of butchering name spellings. But nicknames you have more flexibility. Besides most historic nicknames don't make sense either. William, Bill, Richard, Dick, Robert, Bob, Theodore, Ted, Thomas, Tom, John, Jack, Joseph, Joey, etc.

@lica001 - Agreed, but it's not like her nickname is like another name entirely, as in your examples. It's silly, I know, just every time I see it, it bugs me.
True. You know what, I bet she thought Ari was too masculine so she added the h so people would "know" it's a girl!!!!

I eat so often and so much, I don't know how I'm not about 400 lbs by now.. Thank you, nursing?.. I need to knock it off though and start eating better and more regularly. My cholesterol is probably through the roof.
Speaking of which, I'm hungry.
Yup. This is me too. I just entered 1.5 doughnuts on my Weight Watchers app. I doubt any of what I'm doing is a good idea.
