Seriously in love with today. Raining, burning a pumpkin candle and making stew in the crockpot. Fall is the best.
I'm not a fan of cold weather, but I'm always completely in love with that in-between stage that's at the very end of summer and the very beginning of fall, maybe one month or so into each. It's great!

Wow, just wow...  This quote from the text message "We as women should stand together to inform people about the vagina and how to please it."  Does she not realize she is talking about a class of 7 & 8 year olds?!

  • Strange request: is anyone willing to collect autumn leaves and some pine cones and mail them to me? We don't have changing seasons like most of you but I still like to decorate for the seasons.

Won't the leaves dry up and break?
That was my thought. What about fake ones?

I thought about that. I guess I'll have to order artificial.

It's still in the 80s here (CO), and I'm effing sick of it. I want fall. I have my fridge stocked with pumpkin beer and Oktoberfests, but itd be a lot easier to enjoy them with crunchy leaves and cooler air.

@RedDawnsRevenge just wondering how things are going ((Hugs))

DH driving me insane. Why do men shut down when they are stressed? I'm still applying for tons of jobs. Nervous for phone interview tomorrow. I need something good to happen. DH and MIL have been discussing which bill we won't be paying this month the house or the truck. Feel so desperate. Told DH I was applying at prisons and corrections and he said NO! To which there was much fighting and I have chosen to ignor him. We cannot be picky. Thinking of applying for BK and McDo's tomorrow after my phone interview. I should never have thought this SAHM thing would work, and now I have to pay the price with my career. We need national maternity leave in the US. Oh and more fighting with the Medi-Cal people today.

    Edit: typo

@deidremaria‌ Combine 1 part glycerin and 2 parts water is a baking dish. Submerge the leaves and weigh them down with a smaller dish. Leave them for a few days. They will stay soft and pliable for a few years. We did it in science class in middle school.

This page has pictures of each step:

Bless you!!! I have the water and glycerin but still no leaves. Any volunteers?
  • @RedDawnsRevenge‌ - I'm sorry things are still going so rough. I hope you have some good luck soon.
  • @deidremaria‌ I'll send you leaves if you want!

Sure thing. How many do you want? A few? A few dozen? As many as I can stuff into a big envelope?

Red I think it's time for a call to mom and dad and to high tail it there.

The only problem is they can't help me pay my bills. They can only help me by watching the girls. Plus they already have my 25yo freeloading sister. It's now a waiting game of finding a job is where we go.

Thank you! I've been wanting to know how to preserve leaves without potentially damaging them (like a light wax coating, which was all I could think of)! :x

Double the Internet hugs to you! And you are so right about men shutting down when stressed. So frustrating
