I haven't downloaded ios7 because I refuse to do it without backing up my phone first. I tried to do the back up and the computer didn't have enough storage. Soooo.... Still waiting for DH to clean up his computer.
To those with babies not really interested in solids...maybe try a different time of day. My LO isn't terribly interested, but he will take a bite or two a different times of day. DS1 wouldn't nurse when he woke up in the morning after around 6 months, but he would have some toast or fruit. Then an hour later would BF.
We started early because Isla wouldn't poop. I thought food was better than continuously giving enemas. She's not very interested in food (or bottles), but we try.
My doctor's office is amazing. They ordered extra formula samples specifically for us because they know my supply isn't quite keeping up with both twins. When they told the rep it was for a twin mom he asked for my address and is going to send even more! I know we don't spend as much as some families as we are still bf as much as possible, but that's a huge help when we just bought our second crib and will need 2 more car seats soon!
Refresh my memory what kind of formula you use? I may have a can that someone gave me unopened.
@WisconsinCheese12 I have a Samsung gs5 and it has the word suggestions like that. I love it! It makes typing one handed so much easier. It is slightly creepy though, I will give you that.
@babycaps it took Jack about a week to figure out how to roll back. He was fussy for the first few nights and we would have to go back in and roll him over, but he started being ok with sleeping on his tummy before he learned to roll back.
Ugh I just woke up and I need to get this out somewhere... I was having the best dream. H and I were running a 5k through Disney and there was free food and chocolate everywhere. I was in heaven.
Then the dream changed and we were going home but the plane kept trying to land and couldn't do it. The pilot said we were going to crash. I was sitting in the row in front of H and he had J on his lap, so all I could do was hold his hand and cry. I woke up just as we were about to crash. It was awful. I'm still all anxious and jittery.
Isn't it nice when someone realizes how vital you are? For the record I think it was super nice of you to give him as much notice as you did they way they jerk you around.

I only told him because jimmy told an employee who is a blabber mouth.. I wouldn't have if he couldn't find out any other way..
We had a cousin give us a Halloween costume but she just said she thought we could use it Halloween "week." So that's all we're doing. So I have forgotten to go to the post office all week. I finally remember today, show up... And they're closed for an hour. Start driving to another one... LO is out like a light. So I'm sitting at the beach, (not complaining about that), waiting for her to wake up to go to the other one. I will get stamps today damnit!!

We use regular enfamil, but if you know anyone else in need please send it their way! I think we will be good for awhile here and I don't want to hoard the formula when so many others are in need too .
J refused his morning bottle at daycare. They tried to feed him at 9:45, 10:45, and 12:30. They finally got him to eat 5 oz at 1pm. He doesn't seem sick or overly fussy. Anyone else's kid pulled this? Any ideas about what's going on here?

Is your LO eating solids? Sometimes if I feef her breakfast or lunch she will kind of skip a bottle or go longer the next time.

@FFwifey and anyone else in Canada that seems to enjoy shopping.
What I hate is knowing that I can shop at a high end store, and pay premium price for something, or I can go to an 'everyday' store and get the same item for 10-50% less. Or I can get an item from and 'everyday' retailer for whatever price (say $5-10 or more), but I could grab an identical item from a dollar store for $1-2.
Some people are afraid (embarrassed) to shop at $ stores. I prefer to shop there when I know I get a deal, and save my money for something else (a nicer hotel room when on a little get-away).
LO just officially really rolled from back to tummy for the first time ever. He has rolled tummy to back a few times because he was pissed at being on his tummy, but never all the way back to tummy. He's gotten about 95% over, then changed his mind.
I'm still in awe that there are women I went to high school with that are becoming parents (1st time, or again) at this age (40-ish+) at the same time as other classmates becoming grandmas (1st time, or again).
One friend is a week overdue with her 1st baby while a mutual friend just became a grandma for the 2nd time. I also have a friend who became mommy for the 3rd time less than a year ago, but was already a grandma of 2.

Yes but so far only at dinner time. The kid nursed right before bed at 8:30pm, again at 7am, and then went on a six hour hunger strike. Today was fine though so who knows what yesterday was about.
Dh is puking. I'm trying to not freak out about the possibility that lo can catch what he has or the possibility it's food poisening from lunch where we ate the same thing. How do I make sure lo doesn't get sick?
6 hours doesn't sound like a hunger strike to me. Maybe he got really full at his 7am feeding? Sophie usually nurses at 8am and then won't nurse again until after 1pm. If she does sooner than that it's usually a short feeding. She's too busy to be bothered with food. I wouldn't worry about her unless she went 8ish hours without wanting to eat. Then I would consider it a skipped feeding. This is just my experience.
I'm glad to hear that for some babies this is normal. I wasn't overly worried but it was unusual for him to go that long between feeds. Normally he only goes 3, 4 hours tops. Maybe this is why he's the size of your average 9 month old at 5.5 months....

@disneyaddict1 That basically sounds like my husband. He's super nervous about choking and doesn't believe me that gagging is not the same as choking. And she gagged on the first piece of sweet potato she had, but then did pretty well. But all he sees is the gagging on the first piece and how nervous he got.
He wants us to not do it again, but I really want it to work and don't want to give up after 1 day. And I'm trying to value his feelings and opinions, but at the same time he never does the research. So I do the research and tell him what I've learned, but he never really backs me up when it comes down to it and isn't willing to look into it himself.
for moms with other Los.... Do the footed snap and plays stop existig when you hit 9 months? I think I'm losing my mind but carters doesn't have any??
I don't get to Carter's very often because its kind of our of the way for me. But I have sleepers with snaps or buttons up to 24 months and I know they come larger. I just saw some yesterday. We have Carter's, Pekkle (Costco brand), George (Walmart), and probably others.
DS1 has just outgrown his 24 month ers, so I'm switching him to 2 piece 2T/3T pjs. LO has been wearing 12 month footed sleepers for a while.
I feel like I have a huge piece of my life back!! I upgraded my phone so I have a working bump app again!! I'm caught up on the random thread and can get back to regular checking ins! Yay!
FBW-good luck with the move/transition, following and thinking good thoughts for your family! I think I've got everything lol!! Hoping you all have great wknds!!
Welcome back @moedowell! I have heard the term half birthday but did not know people had parties for them.. I baked a cake today. From scratch. Its going to go delisciously with my ice cream. My dad asked what LO wanted for Christmas today. I think we talked about it but can't remember. I said books, toys, diapers, and clothes. That's fine right?
LO has been asleep since 9pm, it's now 4:15am. He would usually have been up twice by now.
DS1 went to bed at 9:45. He was up at 1:30 crying uncontrollably. Then awake again at 3:30 crying. I think he might just be warm. It was super mild here today after being super cold the last few days. I changed his shirt and put on some music. He quieted down quickly...
Baby clothes confuse me. We have 2 pairs of 12 month jeans that fit perfect, I just found a pair of 6-9 month in her drawer so I grabbed those assuming they would fit too. Nope, they are huge on her.
DS1 had some 3 month pants that were the same size as his 12 month pants. I hate pants for babies because it seems like no two brands are anywhere close to the same 'size'.
I also have an assortment of pants in 12 month that have over a 3 inch variance in the waists. 8-}
I've been MIA lately and miss everyone!! M and I have slept maybe 8 hours total overnight this past week and I have barely been able to function. I've been so busy at work that I've had to email through my pump breaks but I'm making a conscious effort to resume regular bumping this week!
@bennieangel thank you! I'm not sure if it's really a "thing." I saw it on Pinterest and decided it was a good reason to have a family get together. We enjoyed ourselves and B looked adorable so mission accomplished.
I keep going back and forth on having a party after my graduation ceremony next month. Part of me is really excited about my accomplishment and since I only get 7 tickets for the event I thought I could have everyone over after so I can celebrate with those that I couldn't invite.
But the other part of me feels like I'm going on 30 and am too old for graduation parties.
What do you ladies think?
Can you combo your grad party and 30th bday party? My DH threw me the combo party a few months after I graduated and it was soooo good. The people who saw me grow up came by in the afternoon and friends came in the evening. Also if your work is displayable somehow like fine art or something print off copies for display so everyone knows what you have been doing for years! I'm in architecture so I had some projects up and friends kept saying "now I understand why I didn't see you for three years" - it was a lot of fun

Wow. I think you mentioned that before.
Sounds like someone I met many years ago.
Where I lived there was 'not much to do' and lots of days off school due to weather so teens would have sex.
13 year old girl with her baby, Mom (looked about 30) and grandma (looked about 40-50) were shopping in the mall.

He has been complaining about his feet for 3 days. 8-|
Do you have any idea why? I assume this is new...
I hope they feel better soon.
Edit:added what I forgot
Has anyone ever gotten burned from steam before? My hand fucking hurts. I don't know what to do.
My husband is not a fan of BLW and wants to switch to purees. We're arguing over it
