I am .5 pounds from reaching my 50 pound weight loss goal! June 2011 when I found out I was pregnant with DS1, I weighed 210 pounds which was my heaviest ever. Feb 1, 2012, I gave birth weighing 207. I'm now 160.4! So freaking close to the 150s!!

I feel terrible. I've been slacking on my buddy box! I've got one thing and am planning on going to the farmers market tomorrow to finish it. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

I wanted to wait till 6 months but then really THOUGHT my LO needed food...he's 17.5lbs, chewing air, can sit up (supported), totally rocking tummy time, rolling, etc and is eating over 28oz breastmilk a day.....Ped recommended to start. But his tongue reflex is still strong! He's only 4.5 months, so we are waiting a little longer.

ALSO....how bad are these diapers??? I am so nervous. I understand toddler poop cause they eat everything, but will it be that bad with just some cereal, and simple veggies/fruits? I think bf poop is disgusting and cannot believe I throw it in my washer....so I may be in a for a real shock.

They're redoing the siding at our apartment community. Not thrilled for when they start on my building.

I think it's really difficult for men to understand breastfeeding, and it can also make them feel a lot of complicated feelings they may not want to confront. One of the best things I did was attend a breastfeeding class with my husband. It really sucks that some of your husbands are asses about it. It's definitely an area where a supportive partner makes things easier in a hundred little ways.

This is my life today. Same thing just happened to me. LO was fine until they started yelling at each other over the courtyard. WTF!

I give up on today. Fourth night in a row of waking up every 90 minutes (which isn't much worse than her every 3 hrs norm). Totally in a fog. Was thinking about an employee whose email I hadn't responded to in the shower this morning. Somehow instead of responding to her I drove 45 minutes out of my way to her location. Only to realize when I got out of the car what I had done. Then a client called and I missed the coffee appt we had. So. Fucking. Tired.

Yikes! I don't know much about it either, but from what I've gleaned from you ladies, that is so not the way to do it. Granted, I don't know how old her kid is (I could see letting a stubborn toddler go for longer) and any other extenuating circumstances, but no way in hell could I lay there and listen to my child cry for close to an hour without doing something!

Told DH we were not moving to NC today. I'm not moving to NC to make $18 as a nurse. So he tells me cost of living is less. Sure, but our bills aren't going to get less because we move. Plus the cost of moving! Should I be worried he wants to be so close to this friend of his (whom I've never met)?if we move it will be back to SB for healp, since he's not even capable of watching one child alone, let alone a toddler and a nearly mobile 5m old.

Thank you for all the supportive comments, friends. (I'm late in responding. We had a busy morning with LOs first music class!). @BiggerinRealLife‌ you are so eloquent. Thank you for your kind words of support. Not that I'm happy that you've had some major fights, but I'm glad to know I'm not alone in my struggles. I think I get so far into my own head sometimes that I forget that I'm not the first and only person to experience all this!

I think this is the method described in "Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child" which was a book recommended to me by my coworker and that sounds like what he did (kiss the kid goodnight and leave, let him cry as long as he needs to, but this form of CIO usually only takes one night to work where as the progressive waiting (Ferber) approach takes a few nights.

I have some major life decisions to make pretty soon. Do I go back to Ft Bragg with Josh for the remainder of his enlistment, even though there is a very good chance he will be deployed OR do I move back to Pcola and finish school so I will potentially have a job by the time he gets out? So many factors in this too. I don't want to be away from him again but me going back may be the best thing for us.

Just got back from the allergist. She tested him for milk and confirmed he does have an allergy. She gave me a sample of neocate to see if that helps his eczema and reflux. We have to go back when he's 9 months to get a full work up done. He didn't even cry when he got the scratch test done, thank goodness. I think I would have cried if he would have. Feeling particularly emotional today.

BFP update: the clearblue digital weeks estimator finally went from 1-2 to 2-3 and my lines are getting nice and dark on FRERs. I have a feeling I o'd later than I think, so I'll be a May cabooser. Can't wait to see my gummy bear in 3 weeks though! DH is getting so excited about the new baby

@RedDawnsRevenge‌ I think I would like to meet the guy that my husband is spending way too much time with. I also don't want to be that person, but is he having an affair or do you suspect it?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you not have any other options? I don't know if you went to school in Pensacola(?) and that's where your credits are, but have you looked into what can transfer and what can't, see if it's worth it to be near him but work toward your education at the same time? Even if a lot of credits/hours don't transfer, maybe talking with an advisor would be helpful. Anyhow, sorry you're in such a rough spot, and I hope y'all can come to the best decision for your family. >:D<

I tried to transfer my credits to a school here and not one freaking credit transferred. So basically, if I want to continue school and not waste the year and a half I spent in school, then I have to go back to that school. It sucks. Suckssssss. Oh and the kicker is, after two years that school won't even accept my old credits. So if I don't go soon, it'll be too late. I just hate the thought of letting all that time and money go to waste.

and Lia I hope you get things straightened out with daycare on amounts. My daycare went from demanding 20 ounces to LO not finishing the 16 ounces I send now - we had a come to Jesus meeting about positioning and pacing, plus the fact that they were just feeding him every two hours no matter what. I also think they're a *teeny* bit scared of me now...

We're fighting daycare sickness #3... no fun, because he's full of snot, green poops, and is struggling to nurse because he's so congested.

To my exchange buddy, I feel bad after seeing Dani's box to AprilMay; local made non food items are expensive here

Three things in and I've hit my limit lol. Off to find a few more little fun things before I put it in the mail.

@j&nl could you go back to that school and earn an associates then return to Ft Bragg? Not sure of the program you're working on, but I know in schools near me in MI if you have a degree you don't need to transfer the credits, you just provide the degree.

@lia619 If it helps, to start the conversation, I asked a lot of open ended questions to them: How do you position LO to feed him? How long does each feeding last? How many opportunities to burp? What cues do you look for before feeding him?

Those allowed me to get really to the meat of what they were doing, and then show them what they needed to do and offer them reasoning why. And then I left little reminder notes each morning for the first few mornings after

I would most likely just need to finish the nursing portion, which is only a year. I know it doesn't seem long but a year is a long time! This school I went to is one of those private institutions so they don't transfer credits.. probably for this purpose. It's either you finish or you don't get shit. I regret going.

I hope these parents are at least checking in on them...

MY biggest issue with CIO (aside from personally thinking it's really sad to have a baby crying for X amount of time) is what if they are physically hurting??? Andrew has woken up a few times crying because his leg has gotten stuck in the crib rail or he was completely soaked from a leaky diaper.

If you don't have a video monitor you would feel like a real ass going in the am and seeing your little boo stuck or drenched in their own pee!

DH is mad that I don't like Will and voiced my opinions and suspicions. Now he says he might not come home. I hope he doesn't. I'm thinking the only real way to move forward is to divorce. I'm not moving to NC. Also to MIL I am most likely divorcing her son. I wish DH would let me know his plans so I can get rid of his cat and move in with my parents as look for work down south or stay here and suffer with no income. Been crying a lot these past 2 days. I hate how everything is "my fault" "O haven't been looking for work". I think the worst will be if I fill for divorce I'll have to pay him spousal support since I make a lot when I work. He also asked what I thought being a SAHM was going to be like. Because even if he was home it's not his job to help because he works and kids/house is a SAHMs responsibility. I tried to remind him when he was SAHD that I still did all of everything else but he not listening. HR manager finally called me back but said it's nursing ed week at their hospital so the department managers haven't even looked at apps yet. Did manage to drop off a resume at a children's dental sx however, I hate teeth, but I'd do anything.
