@Darbie914 I love Grease! We did it in HS choir (our choir was over 500 strong & really fun). I married into a family of band geeks though. DH tried to play his trumpet when he found it during our move a few months ago, not so pretty.
@SNLT1012 & @cinderella021714 Good luck at your appt today! I also have an appt today & I'm a nervous Pgal mess after not being able to find my baby's HB on the Doppler. I just want to hear that beautiful HB at my appt in a few hours. I know you ladies are full of support so thank you for your positive thoughts. I have to get in the shower ASAP so I can get both DS & I fed, ready & out the door to my friends house so he can go to library story time with them while I'm at the Dr.
Eta I guess I can't spell this morning, hopefully my fresh showered self is a little more awake & all the spelling is fixed.
I bought Honey Nut Chex cereal at the store yesterday and had it for breakfast! So yummy! Except it turns out pregnancy has not cured my mild lactose intolerance (hey, one can dream) so now my stomach hurts. Still worth it, I think.
Yay it didn't take me long to catch up! So I got in chat for like 5 minutes last night but I couldn't stay long because SO had to do the ALS ice bucket challenge because his sister challenged him.
I get unreasonably pissed off over people smearing the internet with thier kids' nudity. It's disrespectful and a massive invasion of privacy. That stays out there forever, and your kid will realize what you did one day and feel really violated.
I can't stand when people post naked pics of their kids on facebook. Your kid is going to hate you. Also no one wants to see your kid sitting on the toilet.
Sweet baby Jesus help me. I'm in an all staff meeting and we have an outside presenter discussing "managing change and transition." It's basically group therapy. Shoot me now.
Yay! I got some. My SO didn't see that one coming this morning. 8-> Morning sex doesn't make me feel nauseous like I'm on a boat, so I might try that again this week.
On another note- We are visiting his family today. The parents know already but I haven't seen them in months and I don't think the kids know. They are extremely overwhelming. His parents are raising his sisters kids (long fucking story) and I don't know if I have the energy to play today. Every time his niece and nephew see me they don't leave my side. This should be interesting.

@frecklesinside I think you are the only one due before me.. I was 12 weeks yesterday.
Not that it really matters, but no she's not. There are several of us due on the 1st and I'm pretty sure there are a few more who's EDD got changed to late February, but decided to stay with this board.

---Quote Box Fail---
I'm also due on the 1st, so I've been 12w for a few days now.... babies hardly ever come on time anyway so I don't think it matters what due dates are, just that we're all carrying healthy babies
And I am one of the last due dates! Actually there are several people with EDDs from 27-31 but I just wanted an excuse to say 9 weeks 2ma!
@racegurl87 & @randomnames - very true, I'm very glad we all are carrying healthy babies so far - also this is my first pregnancy so I'm new to all of this. I know babies rarely come on their EDD but I actually know more people who have had their babies ON their EDD than not.
@SNLT1012 - congrats on your wedding, and good luck at your appt!
My random- today is my DS' s 10th bday! This makes me happy because he will choose mexican food for his bday dinner. This makes me sad because he is in double digits, and it reinforces the huge age gap between my kids! Also, at work yesterday, I made a comment about Jane Fonda (sp?), and my patient had absolutely no idea who I was talking about...WTF???
It's hard to be so far behind those of you with early March due dates. I'm only 8w5d (raspberry/gummy bear size) and my jaw just dropped to see that some of your babies are already the size of plums! My first appointment is tomorrow so I'm super stressed but hoping that it will be reassuring.
I keep having ridiculous sex dreams, but when we try to make it happen its no bueno. I'm jealous of those of you having success. Hopefully soon.
I'm jealous as well. No lie, I'm probably going to have to watch some porn to get in the mood. I just can't do it on my own these days. Ugh, how sad am I?
ohh maybe I'll try that. Last time I used DH's phone to look up something on Pinterest I started typing in google and the first site that came up was porn.com (it was hilarious). So maybe I should get on that.
@SNLT1012 Happy wedding day and I hope you get to have your smexy time.
Random:
I'm proud of my son that he could get his breakfast and eating it all by himself while I was dry heaving in the bathroom. Thank you for your independence.
2nd random:
What the fuck is the advantage of morning sickness? And why do only humans have to deal with this shit? THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!!
My NT scan is in 2 hours, and I'm getting even more nervous. Then we have to wait another 2+ hours to see my OB, and discuss my ER visit with her. On the plus side, that means D and I get to enjoy a nice Indian buffet for lunch.
Andplusalso, I was told to come to the appointment with a full bladder. Ugh. Even when not pregnant, my bladder feels like the size of an acorn. I hope I don't pee all over the tech if I have to be prodded to get Tigger to move.
@WinningColors - I feel comforted that there is other BMB boards that are just finding out. Makes me really realize how far along we all are!!
@SNLT2012 - Congrats on your big day! Take it all in and enjoy every minute!
I've been "craving" a thunderstorm lately. Every day the forecast has called for rain - yesterday there was even a severe thunderstorm warning! I was so excited - opened all my windows and prepped for a wicked storm aaaaaaand there was nothing. Call me crazy, but all the recirculated air conditioner air is starting to get to my head....
@transplantedhawkeye - I felt the same way about morning sickness until my husband schooled me that I am not the only one in our house that has dealt with morning sickness.
Cats get morning sickness as well. One of our rescues was KU at 6 months. I now treat her with a newfound respect.
Now I don't think it's fair that my husband has not had to experience even a day of the sheer physical misery I have been in for 8 weeks (but if I were a cat, I would have already given birth...).
So I'm working at our office in California for the week while my boss is out. I stole his office. It's great. The view of the hills and the palm trees is amazeballs.
So, my SO decided to point out how good it is that I'm walking to work from the hotel every day (about a 10 minute walk that I make EVERY TIME I work here), because I could use the exercise. He then backtracked and told me he just meant it would be good for the pregnancy. After I cried (thanks, hormones), I sent him a picture of the cherry turnover and cup of coffee I had for breakfast this morning. And the strawberry shortcake I'm saving for lunch. It was glorious.
We had a huge storm last night and I woke up to no power. I had to get ready for my supervision meeting in the dark. The power returned right as I was leaving my house.
On the plus side, I am now done with work for today!

I still cannot get my ticker to work. I've tried it in Chrome and Firefox. I swear I am not stupid. I generated the code, entered it where I should. No dice.
Whoever brought the mac and cheese at work put corn in it. Who ruins mac and chees with corn, wtf?
This is blasphemy. Mac and cheese is not a vegetable!
My best friend would disagree on the second part - she grew up with Mac & Cheese as vegetable. We have had many debates as I struggle to find the vegetable - and I have never seen a Mac&Cheese plant. I don't think anyone would disagree though about the corn.

@SNLT1012 Congrats!
My toddler hates me and was up for two hours last night wanting to play. I only got 4.5 hours of sleep. It's going to be a long day.
I never have the energy to get on chat at night. I am sad I miss everything.

Now I want creamed corn with bacon.
