We are otw to Albany for a few days to help a friend (brother from another mother) that had shoulder surgery on Tuesday and can't lift his foster son. This wasn't planned. But he needs us. So we are going. It pisses me off when family doesn't take care of their own

Just caught up with the last five pages. I'm so glad almost everyone had a wonderful day. @chrain‌ - I hope your husband gets there soon and I hope even more so that you feel better ASAP.

I'm having a pretty awesome day too. I worked from home so I could sneak off to my interview with a problem. Well, the interview went fabulously and an hour after it was over I got a call back for a second interview next week! AND my next door neighbor told me she is pregnant too! Just two weeks behind me and due March 15. Ooh, I wonder if she is on the board? It's a good day!

So ..... This is happening right now. We stopped at a rest area on the Mass pike for supper. McDonalds. So we go to the bathroom and come out and are sorta meandering looking at the menu. The cashier says "the bus is here!!!! Hey you guys, if you're ready I can take your order before the bus unloads". So we hurry over and order.

Then I turn around and watch the bus unload. 45 old people with canes and oxygen tanks meander off. And one poor lost looking teenager. Hahaha. We are laughing so hard right now.

It feels like no one is taking you seriously and that hurts me. Also, I still don't understand your family dynamics - the whole step mom and mom thing living together is totally weird to me. 

I'm so sorry you're going through this alone. And your husband deserves a kick to the nuts - I mean, come on - seriously? He can't tell if it is serious? If a doctor or nurse told me to go to the ER, you damn well better believe my husband would drop everything and be there in a heartbeat. But fucking apples? 

I'm going to have to come kick his ass for you.

You all know I've been feeling like shit all day, since last night. The nurse and I have been on the phone all day. I've had bad chills and she told me, if I get a fever to call. So I have has a fever for two hours. I called and she called the on call doc who said go to the ER at the hospital I had the surgery at. 

Well my husband is in Boulder hiking with his friend from NYC and picking up apples for his cider making. So I call him and he's like... it will be an hour and a half before I get home (about 30min drive plus getting apples plus dropping the friend and gf at their hotel then getting home) so I said, I'll call my mom. Then he gets into an argument with me about whether it's really urgent or not and why can't I wait for him. I said, she didn't tell me to call an ambulance but I should get there as soon as I can. 

So I call my mom who tells me she has to ask my stepmom if she can come get me. Then she calls husband to tell him that she can't come get me because my dad had a colonoscopy and my stepmom magically was throwing up today so they can't be left alone. He says, call a cab if you think it's urgent. 

Well, me being me... I'm like I'll just wait until you get home. I don't want to take a rando cab in Denver... this town is not cab friendly and I feel like shit and I'll just fucking wait. 

And he's all pissy with me "I can't tell if it's really urgent or not" blah blah blah. DON'T PICK A FIGHT WITH ME!

Then my mom calls ... what a crazy thing that your stepmom is sick now too! Any other time I would come (LIE... they NEVER are there for me when I need them... there is ALWAYS something) but I can't with them sick. Well my sm is not too sick to be yelling in the background... and she "went inside me" to see what is going on and "I'll be fine" according to her fucking voodoo. Really? Thanks bitch. You are so fine to look 'inside me' but you can't give me my damn mom when I need her? Then when I got frustrated my mom was like "I feel like you are pushing me away and upset."

NO. SHIT. SHERLOCK.

So here I am... running a fever just over 100 and waiting for my husband to go pick up his precious apples and take his friends to their hotel then come home... in rush hour. So there's that. 

I'm more angry than anything. I literally never ask for anything. I am always the one trying to help others and giving up shit for others... I don't WANT to go to the doc or ER... but I was bleeding lots and now running a fever with chills. I'm closing in on textbook infection here. it makes me want to crawl in a hole. At least my dog hasn't left my side. 

I'm so sorry. You deserve better. I would also take you if i wasn't on the east coast.

I'm so sorry, @chrain!  This bullshit on top of feeling bad to begin with.  I'm not sure why your husband doesn't understand this is serious, but tell him that he's going to have a mob of angry, weapon-bearing pregnant women chasing him if he doesn't get his ass home!  (Although I hope he has made it home by now and you are at the ER! GL and I hope you feel better... update us!)

Finally caught up. To tired to tag everyone but I'm Sooooooo happy for the appointments today, wedding, job offers, and all the good news today! I feel like I'm apart of everyone's lives and I'm grateful to read it all. You ladies rock \:D/

My day was interesting at the SO parents house.............it's too much to type now so I'll go into detail tomorrow after I've had time to digest it all. On that note goodnight! Sweet dreams. Don't let the bed bugs bite and if they do take a shoe and beat them till they're black and blue I-)
